My improved polo comprises a slotted inner oylin drical section 1 having depending flanges 2. Upon this section curtains 3 are arranged and an outer cylindrical section 4 is adapted to fit upon the inner section 1 and retain the curtain upon said inner section. Th longitudinal edges of the slotted cyiindrical section 4 arc adapted to engage the flanges 2 of the sec-- lion 1 and retain the curtains 3 upon the inner cylindriml suction l. The flanges 2 oi the suction 1 are rut sway udjucont to tho ends of said section, as at l i i i l l i ii, to permit oi knobs 7 fitting upon the ends of said sections, said knobs being provided with sleeves 8 to receive Lhc ends of said sections.

in Fig. 8 of tho drawing, 1 have illustrated a. slight modification of thc innor section 1, wherein the some is iorincd oi a plate bent to form two angular sides 9 ovor which curtains are hung, to be retained thereon by on outer-section 10 similar to the section 4.

In connection with my improved pole, I use brackets 12, said brackets being iurmod of sheet metal cut or sheared and bent. to form side flanges 14 having uponingsl5 donned therein terminating in slots 16. The hmckcts are provided with upwardly bent ends 17' to he rccoivcd in the slot of the inner section 1 oi the pole and support the latter. The upwardly bent ends 17 of the brackets are adoptcd to engage between the angular sides 9 of thc inner section illustrated in Fig. 8 oi the drawings wlion it desired to use the inodiiicd form oi pole.

in Fig. 5 of the drawings, a. modified ions: oi bracket is illustmtod adnptcd to be used in connection with an ordinary pole, tho hmvkct hcing cut and bent to form two upward ly extending ends 18, between which an ordinary pole can rest. The brackets are detachably connected to a. window or door frame by providing the some with headed screws or narils (not shown), the brackets heing spaced upon said screws and nails and then moved whereby the screws or nails become locked in the slots 16 of said brackets. The pole is preferably made of light ulnd durable metal that can be finished to correspond to the finish of the compartment in which it is used. Suitable ornamcntations other than the spherical bodies shown can be readily mounted upon the ends of the pole.

Such changes in the sizennd minor details of construction, asare permissible by the appended claims, may be resorted to without departing-horn the spirit and scope of the invention.

What I claim and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is'.
