V Be it known `that .1, .CAnoLiNn FooTn MARSH, a citizen ofthe United States, and va resident'of the borougli'of Manhattan, city, county, andv State of New York, have invent-v ed certain newnntl 'useful Improvements in Vitreous Articles and Same, of which the following is a specification.
`My invention relates to vitreous articles andprocess of treating same,I and' particularly to the protection and ornamentation of glass articles, including ornamental 'or 'protecting parte securely afa part thereof.
It refers to the lglass article itself provided with such a metallic ornementation and prctection and to the `process lof making such. ar-

The invention further' consists of various' combinations and details whicliwill be'de' scribed in the specification and pointed ont the claims..
