To all whom it'may concern.-

allets heretofore employed, which may be so formed of pressed sheet metal as to have integral bracing-flanges along its opposite longitudinal edges arran ed to admit a protective coating throughout t eir extent, and which is particularly advantageous in that it comprises runners arranged to slide freely on supporting-tracks and prevent said bracinganges from catchingthereon. As hereinafter described, my invention comprises a lane panel of sheet metal of reater lengt than width, having cylindrif or'm bracing-flanges along its longitudinal edges and bracin runner-bars secured transversely at its en s, which latter are thus arranged to be supported by iron flanges or tracks arranged in tiers on a truck or car, so that the pallets may be slid thereon one after another.
My invention comprises the various novel features of construction and arrangement hereinafter more definitely specified.

In said fi ures, 1 is a plane panel, of pressed sheetmeta having its opposite longitudinal edges curled beneath it to form integral cylindriform tubular bracing-flanges 2, as best shown in Fig. III.
Referring to Fig. III, it is to be noted that there are spaces 12 between the inner edges of the flanges 2 and the adjacent under sur-' face of the panel 1 and that such construction is desirable to permit the entire surface of said panel and flanges to be provided with a protective coating of paint or other suitab e material, said panels and the end bars or runners 4. being referably formed of pressed steel, which W0 (1 be corroded by the moisture from the bricks thereon unless provided with a protective coating. Said panel 1 is sheet-metal pan flanges at its opposite longitudinal edges 5 provided at its opposite ends with bracing are or runners 4, whose central portions 5 are in contact with the under side of the panel 1 and secured thereto by the rivets 6. As best shown in Fig. III the free ends 8 of said runners 4 are curved upwardly to'embrace the flanges 2 and serve as fenders for said flanges, and thus facilitate the introduction of the pallet u on the flange 10 or tracks indicated by tfle dotted lines in Fig. III, which may be on a truck and support a plurality of the pallets, which are slid thereon one after another.
