It consists of' a circular table, having a conical fcentre, anda raised rim around the edge, between which and the base ofthe conical centreis an annular groove divided into `sections.- I Y In thecentre of the table a hollow stud is arranged, having a concave recess in the top, audaange ruunng through it, which may be raised by a series of levers suspended from the underside ofthe table in radial positiv-ons, theo-liter ends projecting through. the ri`n1 `of the table suiicientlyto be operated by the lingers of lthe player. Y Y
The top of the table is provided with several circular rows of vertical pins,:at regularly-recurring distances from the centre, each row having the same number, the pins of every alternate row being set in the same radial line. v
In the second row of pins, each alternate pinA isenlarged anclprovided with concave recesses.
f Figure 1 representsa sectional elevation of my improved table.
Figure 2 represents a plan view of the same, and
Figure 3 represents a plan of the bottom.

, A represents the conical bed'.
B the rim,l and v C the annular groove between the same, which is divided. by the partitions Dwinto sections, which may be numbered, as desired. i l E represents u hollow stud, placed exactly in thecentre of theA table, and provided within. concave recess in the top, and a sliding plunger, F, having an `enlargezrient at the bottom, whereby it may be moved upward by either of the lovers G, suspended by brackets lfrom therbottom of the table in' radial positions, the outer endsprojecting through the rim of the table suiciently to be actua-ted by the player.
H represents -the several rows of pins, of which those pins marked I,v in `the second row, are made larger than the others, and provided with concave recesses in the top. I v s The operation is as follows: Y
Bulls being placed upon the pins I, and one somewhat larger being placed on the stud E, the player knocks the latter ofthe stud by means of' one of the lovers G, when it rolls down'into one of the sections of'thc grooves, being deflected more or less from a true course by contact with the pi'ns on its way.
v'j helscore is counted by the number of the section of the groove into which it falls. i
If, on4 its course, 4it c omes contact with oneA of 'the balls on' the pins I and knocks it o', the score`may be doubled, or increased in any 'other proportion.
