SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 768,276, dated August 23, 1904..
Application filed April 1, 1904 To 0b whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, ROBERT Fox, a citizen of the United States, and a resident of New Rochelle, in the county of VVestchester and State of New York, have invented a new and overhangs the vizor and the mask is'fitted to depend from the front of the cap beneath the vizor when in use, but which may be folded out of the waywithin the overhanging part above the vizor when not in use.
A practical embodiment of my invention is represented in the accompanying drawings, in which-- 1 Figure 1 represents the cap in top plan. Fig. 2 is a side view of the same with the mask folded out of the way. Fig. 3 is. a longitudinal vertical, central section through the same. Fig. 4 is a front View of the cap with the mask unfolded in position for use, and Fig. 5 is a longitudinal vertical section through the same. i
The body of the cap is denoted by 1, and
the usual vizor is denoted by 2. A portion of the cap overhangs the vizor, forming the usual pocket 3. In the form herein represented a band 4 is shown extending along the Serial No. 201,137- (No modeL! sides and back of the cap, which band is provided with flaps 5 and 6, which extend transversely over the top of the cap and are secured together by suitable fastening devices pend therefrom below the vizor when in use.
This mask is provided with the usual eyeglasses-10. On its inside the mask may be provided with strips of soft material 11 such, for instance, as fur-for preventing the mask from'chafing the face of-the wearer when in use.
When the mask is not in use, it may be folded into the pocket 3 in the overhanging portion of the cap, as clearly shown in Fig. 3. When the mask is folded within the cap out of the way, the cap is to all intents and purposes a tourists cap and presents no unusual features to view.

In testimony that I claim the foregoing as my invention I have signed my name, in presence of two witnesses, this 21st day of March,
ROBERT Fox.
