TO ALL WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:

Be it known that we, HERMANN Bane and ANDREW BLESSING, both of Springfield, Hampden county, Oommonwealth of Massachusetts, have invented a new and useful Improvement in Gas-Burners; and we hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to letters of reference marked thereon. This drawing represents a side view of our improved burner.

Our improvement consists in a peculiar. arrangement of a reflector in connection with a gas-burner having a number ofjets, as we will now more fully describe.

We form the burner in two or more branches, A B C D, thus dividing the flame into a number of small jets, and centrally between these jets we place the spherical reflector E, so that the light is reflected in all directions, making a brilliant and pleasant light. The number of these burners may be increased indefinitely, and in many places, as in high lights, the branches may be brought down around the reflector so that the light may be thrown down beneath, or the details of arrangement may be otherwise varied; but

Now, having described our invention, what we claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is

As a new article of manufacture, a gas-burner having a globular or dome-shaped reflector arranged between the lights of thesame, substantially as herein set forth. Y
