IMPROVED WASHING-MACHINE.

Speeication forming part of Letters Patent No. 46,265, dated February 7, 1865.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, ORRIN REEVES, of Greenport, in the county of' Snli'olk and State 0f New York, have invented a new and Im T,foved WashingMachine; and I do hereby7 declare that the following is a full and exact description thereof, reference being had to the mcompanying drawings, and to the referenceletters marked thereon.

My invention consists in combining with a tub, J511e inner ribs of which extend from the bottom to the top thereof, a rubbing-board with a scalloped rim, and radially-ribbed rubbers on its underside, to act in conjunction with similar ribs on the bottom of said tub,

Having thus fully described my invention, what I claim therein as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent is- In combination Vwith a tub having ribs c on its inner perimeter, extending from the bottom to the top thereof, and radial flutes or ribs 011 its bottom, a rubbing-board to act in conjunction therewith having a scalloped perimeter, and radial ribs on its under side, as and for the purpose herein described and represented.
