IMPROVEMENT IN SHOVEL-PLOWS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent N0. 4,500, dated May 9, 1846.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, MOSES D. WELLS, ot' Monongalia county, and State of Virginia, have invented a new and Improved Shovel- Plow; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full and exact description of the nature of my invention in the construction of the shovel-plow with a rudder.
To enable others skilled in the art to make and use my invention, I will proceed to describe its construction and operation.
I construct my shovel-plow by attaching a point, A, either of cast-iron, wrought-iron, or steel, to a cast-iron shovel, B, which point I make secure by means of a bolt and screw, 0.
