to the front portion of the frame as shown at 28 and with the curved upper portions 29 of said group of bailles 21 spaced above the upper ends of the lower group of baflies is as well as above the upper end 25 of the baiile 22. The vertical portion 30 of the group of baiiles 21 are spaced from the vertical portions 2| of the baiiles I9 as well as from the vertical portion 25 of the baflie 22 whereby to provide a tortuous passage for the products of combustion from the burner 9 to cause the same to travel upwardly and downwardly between the ,upper andlower groups of baies ats-'shown by the arrows {inFigure 3 of-the drawings before leaving the casing to enter the discharge pipe Il. The upper portion of the outlet at the rear o the casing 5 is connected to the 'upper portion of the upper group of baffles 21 by a curved barile 'A 3l to prevent pocketing of the products oi com.-v

The several sheet metal baffles extend transversely of the casing 5 from side to side thereof the pipe'36 extending from the back of the casing,
In viewof the foregoing description taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings vit is believed that a clear understanding of the device will be quite apparent to those skilled 'in this art.' A more detailed description is accordingly deemed unnecessary.
`It is to be understood, however, that even' though there is hereinshown' andl described a preferred embodiment of theinvention the same is susceptible to certain changes fully comprehended by the spirit of the invention as herein described and the scope of the appended claims.
Having described the invention, what is claimed asnewis:
the straight ends of one group of bailies being spaced from and also centered in the curved ends of the opposite group of baflles to form a tortuous passage in the casing.

A heating stove comprising a sheet metal casing having a burner in its lower portion and an outlet for products of combustion from the burner in its upper portion, and a series of bai" fles in the casing between the burner and the outlet, said battles including groups of opposed substantially J-shaped sheet metal baffles having their. straight end portions.; arrangedin spaced parallel relation 'with respect to each-other, the curved ends of the bailies of each group abutting an adjacent correspondingly arranged baiile, and the straight ends of one group of baies being -fspaced vfrom and also centered in the curved ends 'ofthe' opposite group of baffles to form a tortuous passage, in the casing, and doors in the opposite sides of the casing at the edge portions of the baffles of an area to include both groups of baiiles.
