This' invention relates to improvements in combination rain coats formed-with separate cooperating blouse and skirt portions.

lAn object of the invention is to'provide an improved combination garment including separate blouse and skirt portions which may be worn separately, or connected together to form a full length rain coat.

Another object of the invention is to Vprovide a jacket'and skirt adapted to be worn separately, andsaid jacket being formed with a doublevwaist band whereby the use of buttons along the adjacentffrontnedges of the jacket is eliminated, together with cooperating means on the adjacent bottom of said jacket and top of said skirt whereby said parts may be securedtogether to form a full length rain coat.

A further object of the invention is to provide an improved combination garment including a jacket or blouse and a skirt which may be worn separately or joinedtogether to form a full length rain coat, said garment Vbeing highly efflcient and durable in use, and relatively inexpensive tomanufacture and produce. v

Figure 1 is a front elevation of the garment having its cooperating parts secured together to be worn as a full length rain coat;

Figure 3 is a front inside view of the skirt spread open showing the zipper at the top and cooperating buttons and button holes along the opposite sides of the skirt;

Figure 4 is a front outside view of the skirt spread open showing the pockets and waist band adjusting means for the skirt;

Figure 5 is a sectional view taken on the line 5-5 of Figure 1;

Figure 6 is an enlarged top plan view ofthe skirt waist band adjusting means, and

Figure 7 is a front view of the skirt waist band adjusting means shown in Figure 6.

The skirt I5y is provided with a slide fastener element I6 along its -upper edge for cooperative@ Ilocking engagement with thefelement 1 on the bottom of the blouse I when' the two garments@ are to be connected together and worn as a full length rain coat. Buttons II will be secured at spaced intervals along a side of the skirt I5, and cooperating button holes I8 will be arranged in spaced relation along the opposite side of the skirt, for the reception of said buttons I'I.

Pockets I9 are provided at the opposite sides of the front portion of the skirt I5, and are formed with buttoned closure flaps 20.

Adjusting tabs 2| are formed at the opposite sides of the top of the skirt I5, and are provided with button holes 22, which may be engaged by the buttons 24 attached to the waist band of the skirt I5 to draw in the same to provide a snug fit when the skirt is to be worn as such. When the skirt is to be connected to the blouse or jacket I and the garment is to be worn as a full length rain coat, the buttons 24 will be left unbuttoned to provide a full skirt eifect. A snap fastener 25 may also be secured to the tabs 2I if desired.

From the foregoing description, it will be apparent that due to the double waist band construction of the blouse or jacket, the opposite sides of edges of the same will be drawn tightly about the body of the wearer in overlapping closed position, making the use of the usual buttons along the edges o1 a coat or blouse unnecessary.
