The invention aims to provide an exceptionally simple, inexpensive, and convenient coaster upon which a person may comfortably kneel and readily move from place to place while scrubbing, painting, waxing, or otherwise working upon a floor.

In carrying out the above end, a further aim is to provide a coaster upon which various necessities for performing one job or another on a floor, may be carried and kept readily accessible.

A preferred construction has been illustrated and will be specifically described, with the understanding, however, that within the scope of the invention as claimed, variations may be made.

The major portion of the coaster may Well be formed from a single blank of metal, plastic, wood or other materials, as shown in Figure 8, and to facilitate a better understanding of the construction, the portions of said blank from which various elements of the device are formed, will be given the same reference characters, as said elements, plus the exponent 41.

The device includes a horizontal platform III which is preferably about fifteen inches by thirtysix inches, giving ample room for a person to kneel and have by his or her side a scrubbing bucket, a paint bucket, a can of Wax, etc. Two parallel longitudinal side walls II are secured to and project upwardly from the platform I0, and the upper edges of said walls are provided with outwardly projecting horizontal flanges I2 extending throughout the lengths of said edges. A front Wall I3 is also secured to the platform I0 and projects upwardly therefrom, the ends I4 of said front wall being extended beyond the side walls II. These extended wall ends I4 are preferably welded at I5 (Fig. 3) to the front ends of the flanges I2, and if desired, said extended ends Iii may also be welded to the front ends of the side walls II. Vertical anges I B are secured to the rear ends of the side walls II and project outwardly therefrom, these flanges I6 being secured to the rear ends of the flanges I2,

preferably by welding II (Figs. 1 and 3).

The construction so far described provides an effective kneeling tray upon which a suitable pad may of course be placed upon which the user may kneel, and this tray also is of sufficient size to carry necessities for one oor job or another.

The flanges I2 are provided with appropriate casters I8 upon which they are suitably mounted, and due to the manner in which these flanges are connected with other parts of the device, they are.

stably held in place. Moreover, it will be seen that the front wall I3 effectively reinforces the front portion of the platform I against appreciable downward springing.

At the left side of the platform III (or at the right side if desired), is a rack I9 for holding various implements needed in performing one job or another. This rack is preferably formed from a'single blank of metal, plastic, wood, or other materials and comprises a tcp plate 2li and two side walls 2| supporting said top plate above the platform I0 and resting upon the latter. One of the side walls 2| contacts with the inner side of one or the other of the side walls I I, and the entire rack is fastened to the contacting side wall by means of bolts or the like 22. 20 is formed with a plurality of openings 23 of suitable sizes and shapes for holding implements commonly used when working upon floors, such as scrubbing brushes, a scraper, paint brushes, scrubbing rags, etc., the various implements and the like being thus accessible to the person using the coaster.

From the foregoing, taken in connection with the accompanying drawings, it will be seen that novel and advantageous provision has been made for carrying out the objects of the invention, and while preferences have been illustrated, attention is again invited to the possibility of making variations within the scope of the invention as claimed.

I claim:

1. A floor coaster comprising a platform, side walls secured to and projecting upwardly from said platform, horizontal flanges secured to the upper edges of said side walls and projecting outwardly therefrom, a front wall secured to and projecting upwardly from said platform, said front wall projecting laterally beyond said side Walls and being secured to the front ends of said horizontal flanges, and casters upon which said flanges are mounted.
