' y5 claims. (01.312-73) My invention relates generally to display containers, and in particular it relates to a container Within which commodities of various kinds maybe disposed and secured in position for ready removal from the container as'desired.

The main object of my invention is the provision of a container having a display carriage therewithin. Y

rAnother object of my invention is the provision of a container having a display carriage therewithin 4 shiftable vertically within the carriage. v

Another object of my invention is the provision of a container having a display carriage vertically'shiftable therewithin when the container is turned through 180 degrees. y

Still another object of my invention is the provision of a'casing having a closure-thereon, the closure pivoting away from andover onto the casing when the casing is turnedthrough 180 degrees. v n

Still another object of my invention is the provision of a casing having a display carriage therewithin and a closure pivotally mounted thereon, the carriage being vertically shiftable within the casing and the ycover pivoting, so that as controlling'means in the casing is in one position, the closure is away from the opening and the carriage approaches the opening, and' as the controlling means is in the opposite position, the closure overlies and covers the casing opening and the carriage is remote from the opening.

Still another object of my invention is the provision of a casing having a plurality of chambers therewithin, a display carriage in one chambena control means in another, a connection between the control means and carriage whereby they shift in opposite directions.

Still another object of my invention is the provision of a casing having a pair offchambersy therewithin, a closure pivotally secured tothe casing, a display carriage in one chamber, vertically shiftable therewithin, a control means in another chamber, a-connection between the control means and the closure and another connection between the control means and the carriage so that as the control means is in one position, the closure is pivoted away from the opening and the carriage proximates the said opening, and as the control means is in its other position, the closure overlies the opening in the casing and the carriage is remote from the opening.

Still another object of my invention is the provision. of a device of the character described in which the casing closure and carriage are that the scope of my invention is to be limited only by the claims appended hereto.

The device of my invention is indicated generally by reference numeral I0, and comprises a generally rectangular casing of any suitable material, as metal, wood, plastics or the like either solid or of built-up layers of such material. The container is formed with an opening at the top thereof. Aninterior wall or septum I2 is disposed within the hollow interior of casing III, extending lengthwise of the casing, vand dividing same into two compartments I4, I6. Compartment I4 is preferably smaller than compartment I6, for within compartment I 6 I dispose a display carriage I8. Carriage I8 is formed as by casting, molding or otherwise, of plastic material, wood or any suitable metallic'material, and has a` plurality of article receiving recesses 20, 20 therein.
