This invention relates to revoking mechanisms for weft replenishing looms and it is the general object of the invention to provide a revoker which feels down through the top of the shuttle box.
The usual weft replenishing loom is provided with a shuttle position detector or shuttle feeler which is moved into the path of the shuttle whenever transfer is called. As heretofore made, these detectors have moved to a position in front of the shuttle to be rocked by the latter if misplaced too far to permit satisfactory transfer. Due to the location of the shuttle feeler it has been necessary to use a short shuttle binder which is of insuflicient'length to check the shuttle properly when looms are run at high speeds. It is an important object of my invention to provide a shuttle feeler which moves downwardly on its position detecting stroke along apath behind the shuttle binder, thereby permitting the latter to be of greater length than has been sible heretofore.
It is a further object of my present invention to cause the lay to give the shuttle feeler its detecting stroke. By this construction the detector proper remains above the shuttle path and an operating finger is lowered intothe path of the shuttle hinder or other part of the box front when the shuttle feeler moves to a detecting position. As the lay advances it engages the finger and causes the shuttle feeler to move downwardly across the shuttle path.
It is a further object ofmy present invention to construct a shuttle feeler in such a way that a misplaced shuttle becomes the temporary fulcrum of the shuttle feeler around which the latter is turned by the advancing lay to a sufficient extent to revoke transfer before the lay bunter can engage the transfer latch. The actual amount of upwardmotion, of the shuttle feeler will vary with th degree of misplacement of the shuttle, but the parts are so proportioned that a shuttle which is only slightlymisplaced will be able to effect revocation.
It is another object of my present invention to cause the lay by an initial engagement to turn the shuttle feeler to a position from which it may be reset after a normal transfer by a second engagement with the lay, the latter engagement to occur after the detecting stroke has been completed.
With these and other objects in view which will appear as the description proceeds, my invention resides in the combination and arrangement of parts hereinafter described and set forth.

Referring to the drawings, I have'shown a magazine M of the multicolor type including a frame 10 having a foot ll mounted on the loomside 12. The magazine includes a transferrer arm l3 pivoted as at I4 having a head l5 to engage the bobbin to b transferred. The transferrer arm is normally held in raised position by well-known spring means not shown and has pivoted at H5 at the lower part thereof a transferrer latch I1. The latter is normally down but can be raised to transfer position bya rod l9 passing under the latch and extending upwardly to be connected as at 20 to a lever 21 pivoted as at 22 to the magazine frame. Upwardly extending arm 23 of lever 21 has a slot 24 to receive a block 25 slidable in the slot and is urged toward the outer end of the slot by a compression spring 26 the lower endof which engages the arm 23. The block ispivoted on'an arm 28 secured to a shaft 29 journaled in the upper part of the magazine frame. Motion of the arm 28 in a counter-clockwise direction as viewed in Fig. 9 is limited by engagement of theiblock 25 with the upper end of slot 24, while movement of said arm in a clockwise direction is limited by a stop screw 30 mounted in the magazine frame for engagement of lever 2|.
The centers of the pivot 22 and shaft 29 are so placed that block 25 moves from one side to the other of a line joining the centers to hold the arm 28 and the lever 23 yieldingly in either of their two extreme positions. It is not necessary for an actuating force to move lever 28 the full distance to which it can be moved, inasmuch as the spring serves to complete a motion which carries the block across said line.
The shaft 29 has secured thereto the arm 35 pivoted a at 36 to a depending rod 31 which is 40 so that one or another of the latter may be raised to permit the dog 4| thereof to raise above a shelf 42 secured to the shaft 29. The color slide operates to depress a raised slide 40 to cause its dog to rock shaft 29 in a clockwise direction as viewed in Fig. 9.
The lay L is provided with a gang G of vertically shifting shuttle boxes the upper cell 45 of which will be occupied from time to time by a shuttle S. The gang has extending forwardly therefrom a hunter 45 positioned for engagement with the latch I! when the latter is raised. The box cell 45 may be of the type usually employed in shifting shuttle boxes and as set forth in Fig. 7 is provided with a shuttle binder 50 which extends toward the center of the loom to a point beyond the inner tip end of the shuttle when the latter is properly boxed. Except as noted hereinafter the mechanism herein described may be of the usual construction and operates in the ordinary manner. Latch I! will normally be down and the levers 23 and 28 will be in the full line position shown in Fig. 9 with the rod l9 down, while rod 31 will be held up by arm 35 on shaft 29. When a transfer is called by the lowering of a previously raised slide 40, shaft 29 will rock to raise rod I9 and lift the latch I! to transfer position, and also cause lowering of rod 37. The magazine is substantially the same as that setforth in prior Patent No. 1,030,748 to which reference may be had for furtheir details of construction and operation. It is thought sufficient for present purposes to state that when a transfer is called and the magazine is set for transfer rod 3! will be down and rod l9 will be up with the latch IT in the path of the advancing bunter 4'0.
A lever 55 pivoted at 56 to the magazine frame is attached to an arm 57 which extends forwardly to be pivoted as at 58 to the lower end of rod 31. Arm 5"! is normally up, but when the magazine has been set for transfer the lowering of rod 31 will move the lever 55 andarm 5'! down to its transfer position. This part of the mechanism may operate the same as that shown in prior patent No. 1,030,077, and is similar to corresponding parts of shuttle feelers previously used on multicolor weft replenishing looms.
In carrying my'present invention into effect I pivot a shuttle feeler 60 on a stud 6| mounted on the forward end of arm 51. The shuttle feeler comprises an actuating finger 62 and a detecting nose 63 spaced therefrom. An upstanding horn 64 on the arm 5] provides support for the upper end of a light tension spring 65 the lower end of which is connected as at 66 to the nose 63 and tends normally to hold the nose up. A cam 61,- in the present instance, on the gang G, is shaped and positioned for-engagement with the finger 62. The relationship between springs 25 and 65 is such that the arm 51 will be held downwardly during pivotal movement of the shuttldfeeler'fiil around stud 5!- against the action of spring -65 because of the fact that the latter is weaker than spring 26. A stop on horn 64 limits motion of the shuttle feeler 60 in a clockwise direction'as viewed in Fig. 1 and locatesfinger 62 for engagement with cam 61.
In the operation of my invention the shuttle feeler will normally be raised above the path of the gang G and the cam 61 will therefore move backwardly and forwardly under the shuttle feeler without engaging the finger 62 which is gaged the misplaced shuttle.

The nose 63 is still above the shuttle box, and the advancing lay will cause engagement of cam 61 with finger 62 as indicated in full lines in Fig. 1. As the lay continues to move cam 61 will cause the shuttle feeler to rock on its pivot 6! against the action of the spring and move nose 63 downwardly along an arcuate path which is behind the binder 50 and front parts of the shuttle box but in front of the box back 5|. If the shuttle is properly boxed, nose (53 moves to the position shown in full lines in Fig. 2, and bunter 46 engages latch I! to effect transfer. As the lay continues to advance the back 5! of the shuttle box will engage the rear surface 15 of the nose 63' and cause the latter together with its arm 51 to move upwardly to the dotted position shown in Fig. 2 and the full line position shown in Fig. 3, at Which'point the block 25 will pass from one side to the other side of a line joining centers 22 and 29, after which spring 26 will continue the upward movement of arm 51 until the latter reaches the dotted line position shown in Fig. 3. A stop lug 16 on arm 51 engages finger 52 during this operation and holds surface 15 against the box back to cause upward motion of arm 51. It is to be understood that as the shuttle feeler rises rod 31 causes top shaft 29 to rock in such a direction as to lower rod l9, thus permitting latch H to fall to normal position as the lay recedes following completion of the transfer.
If the shuttle is not properly positioned for transfer and projects toward the center of the loom it willbe-engaged by the nose 63 when the latter descends and the point of engagement with the shuttle will become a temporary pivot and will arrest further downward motion of the nose. As cam 6'! continues to raise finger 62, therefore, the shuttle feeler as a whole is raised to lift stud SI and arm 51. If the shuttle is widely misplaced the nose will strike a relatively high part of the shuttle and the shuttle feeler will start to move upwardly comparatively early, but if the shuttle is only slightly misplaced the nose,will engage a lower part of the shuttle and upward motion of shuttle feeler will occur at a slightly later point in the advance of the lay. The parts are so proportioned that even though the nose strikes the tip of the shuttle the upward motion of the shuttle feeler will be sufficient to cause upward motion of rod 31 early enough to cause downward motion of rod l9 and latch l1 before the latter can be engaged by bunter 45.
The action of revoking will be understood from an inspection of Figs. 4, 5 and 6. In Fig. 4 the shuttle. feeler is shown in full line positions at the instant of contact between the finger 62 and the cam 61. The dotted line position of the shuttle feeler indicates that the nose 63 has en- The full line position of Fig. 5 corresponds to the dotted line position of Fig. 4 and it will be seen that a substantial part of the finger 62 projects below the top of cam 6'1. As the latter continues to advance therefore the finger and also the shuttle feeler will be lifted, turning about the temporary contact between the nose 63 and shuttle as a center. The arm 51 wil be lifted to the dotted line position shown in Fig. 5 prior to engagement of the lay bunter with the transferrer latch. The dotted line position of Fig. 5 and the full line position of Fig. 6 show the shuttle feeler in the same position, that is, the position at which spring 26 starts to complete the upward movement of the arm 51. The dotted lines in Fig. 6 indicate the shuttle feeler and arm 51 to be completely reset to normal position without requiring engagement of surface 75 on the nose with the box back 5|.
In order that the nose and finger may be properly adjusted with respect to the box back 5| and cam 61, respectively, the arm 51 is slotted as at 80 to receive bolt 8|, see Fig. 8, which extends into the lever 55. By adjustment of the arm 51 relatively to the lever 55 and pivot 56 the shuttle feeler can be properly located. The spring 65 moves with the shuttle feeler in its various adjustments.
7 From the foregoing it will be seen that I have provided a shuttle feeler comprising a detecting nose which is moved downwardly into a shuttle box by a force derived from the advancing lay and that the nose moves along a path which is between the front and back walls of the shuttle box. It will also be seen that if the shuttle is properly positioned transfer can occur in the usual manner and the rear surface I5 of the nose 63 will be engaged by the rear wall 5| of the shuttle box to reset the magazine in the usual manner, this resetting beginning after the transfer latch I! has been engaged by the lay bunter 46. If, on the other hand, the shuttle is too widely misplaced for proper transfer the descending nose will engage it and continued turning of the shuttle feeler about the point of contact .with the shuttle by a force derived from a cam 61 will raise the shuttle feeler and therefore rod 31 early enough inthe advance of the lay to permit the transfer latch -to fall out of the path of the advancing lay bunter. In order that the upward motion of the shuttle feeler may be magnified I connect the lower end of rod 31 to the arm 51 at a point relatively remote from the pivot 56. It will also be seen that the movement of the shuttle detecting nose 63 is along such a path as will permit the use of along binder desirable in looms operating at high speed, permitting the location of the protector finger 90 between the shuttle feeler and the cloth. The longer binder contributes to better boxing of the shuttle and therefore reduces the number of revocations of transfer. While the part 61 has been described as'a cam on the shuttle box, I am not necessarily limited to a cam nor to its location as set forth herein.
Having thus described my invention it will be seen that changes and modifications may be made therein by those skilled in the art without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention and I do not wish to be limited to the details herein disclosed, but what I claim is:
1. In a weft replenishing loom having transfer mechanism normally in non-transferring position, a member connected to the transfer mechanism and movable therewith from normal to transfer position preparatory to a replenishing operation of the loom, movement of the member in a reverse direction back to normal position causing the transfer mechanism to move to nontransferring position, a backwardly and forwardly reciprocating shuttle box having front and back walls between which is located a shuttle to be replenished, a shuttle feeler having a shuttle position detecting nose normally above and intermediate the ends of the front wall and having also an operating finger normally above the shuttle box, and means connecting the mem-' her to the shuttle feeler to lower the latter and place the operating finger in the path of a part of the shuttle box whenthe member moves to transfer position, forward motion of the shuttle box causing said part to engage the operating finger and move the shuttle position detecting nose downwardly along a path between the front and back walls of the shuttle box and intermediate the ends of the front wall to detect the position of the shuttle in the shuttle box, a misplaced shuttle in engagement with the nose cooperating with said part of the shuttle box and said operating finger to lift the shuttle feeler and cause said means tomove the member in a direction to move the transfer mechanism to non-transferring position.
2. In a weft replenishing loom having a back wardly and forwardly reciprocating lay provided with a shuttle box having front and back walls between which is located a shuttle to be replenished, transfermechanism normally in nontransferring position, a member connected to the transfer mechanism and movable therewith from normal to transferring position preparatory to a replenishing operation of the loom, movement of said member in a reverse direction to normal position resulting in movement of the transfer mechanism to non-transferring posipart with the operating finger causing motion of the shuttle position detecting nose downwardly along a path behind the front wall of the shuttle box and intermediate the ends thereof, a misplaced shuttle lying in the path of the detecting nose stopping downward motion of the latter and cooperating with said part of the lay and the operating finger to cause upward motion of the shuttle feeler to give said member a reverse motion by a force transmitted through said connections to effect movement of the transfer mechanism to non-transferring position.
3. In a weft replenishing loom having a backwardly and forwardly reciprocating lay provided with a shuttle box having front and back walls between which is located a shuttle to be replenished, transfer mechanism normally in nontransfer ring position, a member connected to the transfer mechanism and movable therewith from normal to transferring position preparatory to a replenishing operation of the loom, movement of said member in a reverse direction to normal position resulting in movement of the transfer mechanism to non-transferring position, a normally raised carrier connected to the member and movable vertically therewith to be lowered thereby when said member moves to transfer position, and a shuttle feeler pivoted to the carrier and having an operating finger and a shuttle position detecting nose normally above the shuttle box and intermediate the ends of the front wall, said operating finger being moved into the path of a part of the lay when the member moves to transfer position to cause said part of the lay to rock the shuttle feeler pivotally and cause the noseto move downwardly along a path behind the front wall of the'box and intermediate the ends thereof, engagement of the nose with a misplaced shuttle arresting downward motion of said nose and said shuttle and: nose cooperating with saidpart of the lay and-operating finger to raise the-shuttle feeler as the lay continues to advance and thereby elevate said;carrier to cause the member to have a reverse motion and effect movement of the transfermechanism to non-transferring position,
4. In a Weft replenishing loom having a backwardly and forwardly. reciprocating lay provided with a shuttle box having therein a shuttle to be replenished, transfer mechanism normally in non-transferring position, a member movable with the transfer mechanism from normal to transferring position preparatory to a replenishing operation of the loom, movement of said member in a reverse direction to normal position resulting in movement of the transfer mechanism to non-transferringposition, a carrier, connections between thecarrier and the member to cause said carrier and member to move together vertically and effective to hold the carrier normally in raised position when the member is in normal position, a shuttle feeler pivoted to the carrier and having an operating finger and a shuttle position detecting nose both of which are above the shuttle box when said carrier is raised, movement of the member to transferring position acting through said connections to lower the carrier and place the operating finger in the path of an advancing part of the lay to cause pivotal motion of theshuttle feeler relatively to the carrier and move the shuttle position detecting nose downwardly, a misplaced shuttle engaging and arresting downward motion of said nose and cooperating with said part of the lay and the operating finger to effect upward motion of the shuttle feeler during continued forward motion of the lay and thereby raise the carrier to cause a reverse motion of said member and effect movement of the transfer mechanism to non-transferring position.
5. Ina weft replenishing loom having a backwardly and forwardly reciprocating lay provided with a shuttle box having front and back walls between which is located a shuttle to be replenished, transfer mechanism normally in non-transferring position, a member connected to the transfer mechanism and movable therewith from normal to transferring position preparatory to a replenishing operation of the loom, movement of said member in a reverse direction resulting in movement of the transfer mechanism to non-transferring position, a carrier normally in raised position, connections between'the carrier and the member to cause said carrier and member to move together vertically and hold the carrier raised when the member is in normal position, a shuttle feeler pivoted to the carrier and having an operating finger and a shuttle position detecting nose located intermediate the ends of the front wall, resilient means to hold the nose in elevated position relatively to the carrier, said operating finger and nose being above the path of the shuttle box when the carrier is raised, and an actuating element carried by and movable forwardly with the lay and normally moving in the path below the operating finger, the member when moving to transferring position acting to lower the carrier and place the operating fingers in the path of said element, forward motion of said element with the lay causing angular lmotion oil the shuttle feeler relatively to the carrier and against the action of said resilient means to cause said nose to move downwardly along a path behind the front wall of the shuttle box, a misplaced shuttle'engaging said nose to arrest downward motion thereof and cooperating with said element and operating finger to raise the shuttle feeler as a whole to elevate the carrier and cause said connections to give the member a reverse motion to effect movement of the transfer'mechanism to non-transferring position.
6. In a weft replenishing loom having a backwardly and forwardly reciprocating lay provided with a shuttle box having front and back walls between which i located a shuttle to be replenished, transfer mechanism normally in nontransferring position, a member connected to and movable with the transfer mechanism from normal to transfer position and back to normal position, a carrier normally in raised position, connections between the carrier and the member to cause said member to lower the carrier when the member moves to transferring position, a shuttle feeler pivoted to the carrier and adding an operating finger and a shuttle position detecting nose located intermediate the ends of the front wall, resilient means to hold the nose in raised position relatively. to the carrier, an operating element movable forwardly with the lay along the path below the operating finger when said carrier is raised, and a pivotal connection between the carrier and the shuttlefeel'er located above the lay and 'in front of said nose, the member when moving to transferring position acting through said connections to lower the carrier and place the operating finger in the path of said element, forward motion of' the element causing the latter to engage the operating finger and rock the shuttle feeler about said pivotal connection to lower the nose along a forwardly and downwardly directed arcuate path behind the front wall of the shuttle box, a misplaced shuttle engaging the descending nose to arrest downward motion thereof and cooperate with said element andthe operating finger to raise the shuttle feeler and the pivotal connection to elevate the carrier and cause said connections to give the member a reverse motion tonormal position and thereby effect movement of the transfer mechanism tonon-transferring position.
7'. In a weft replenishing loom having a backwardly and forwardly reciprocating lay provided with a shuttle box having a back wall and a shuttle binder between which and the back wall is located a shuttle to be replenished, a transfer mechanism normally in non-transferring position, a member normally in raised non-transferring position and movable to transferring position preparatory to a replenishing operation of the loom and effective to move the transferring mechanism to transferring position, said member to have a reverse motion back to normal position and effect movement of the transfer mechanism to non-transferring position, a shuttle feeler normally in raised position and having an operating finger and a shuttle position detecting nose located intermediate the ends of the binder, a pivotal supportfor the shuttle feeler connected to said member and movable vertically therewith, and an actuating element movable forwardly with the lay along a path normally below the operating finger when the latter is in normal raised position, movement of the member to transferring position effecting downward motion of the shuttle feeler toposition the operating feeler in the path of said element and the latter engaging saidoperating finger during forward motion of the lay to rock the shuttle feeler about said pivotal connection and effect downward motion of the nose along a path behind and intermediate the ends of the binder, a misplaced shuttle arresting downward motion of the nose and cooperating with said element and operating finger to raise the shuttle feeler by continued forward motion of said element and thereby elevate the pivotal connection to give the member a reverse motion to effect movement of the transferring mechanism to non-transferring position.
8. In a weft replenishing loom operating with a backwardly and forwardly reciprocating lay having a shuttle box provided with a back Wall and a shuttle binder between which and the back wall lies a shuttle to be replenished, transferring mechanism normally in non-transferring position, a member normally in raised position and movable downwardly to transfer position preparatory to a replenishing operation of the loom, said member connected to the transferring mechanism to move the latter to transferring position when said member moves to transferring position and said member efiective by a reverse motion from transferring to normal position to move the transferrer mechanism from transferring position to non-transferring position, an actuating element moving forwardly with the lay along a given path, a shuttle position detector normally in raised position, a carrier normally in raised position, a pivotal connection between the carrier and the shuttle position detector around which said detector is movable in a place intermediate the ends of the shuttle binder, and means connecting the shuttle position detector and the member and holding the latter normally above said given path, said means causing part of the shuttle position detector below said pivotal connection to move into said given path when the member moves from normal to transferring position, said element and means cooperating to move the shuttle position detector downwardly along a path behind and intermediate the ends of the shuttle binder, the arresting of downward motion of the shuttle position detector by a misplaced shuttle causing the element to cooperate with said part of the shuttle position detector to lift the latter and give the member a reverse motion.
9. In a weft replenishing loom operating with a backwardly and forwardly reciprocating lay having a shuttle box provided with a back wall and a shuttle binder between which and the back wall lies a shuttle to be replenished, transferring mechanism normally in non-transferring position, a member normally in raised position and movable downwardly to transfer position preparatory to a replenishing operation of the loom, said member connected to the transferring mechanism to move the latter to transferring position when said member moves to transferring position and said member effective by a reverse motion from transferring to normal position to move the transferrer mechanism from transferring position to non-transferring position, a carrier normally in raised position, connections between the carrier and the member to lower the carrier when the member moves to transfer position and give the member a reverse motion when the carnose, an element movable forwardlywith the lay along a path below the operating finger when the carrier is in normal raised position,- movement of the member from normal to transferring position acting through said connections and 'car-. rier to lower the operating finger in the path of the element and the latter during forward motion thereof engaging the finger to turn the shuttle feeler and cause said nose to move downwardly along a pathbehind and intermediate the ends ofthe shuttle binder, a misplaced shuttle engaging the nose to arrest downward motion thereof and cooperating with the element and the operating finger during continued forward motion of the element to raise the shuttle feeler and carrier and move the member from transferring to normal position and thereby effect movement of the transferring mechanism from transferring to non-transferring position.
10. In a weft replenishing loom having a backwardly and forwardly reciprocating lay carrying a shuttle to be replenished and having also transfer mechanism and a controlmember therefor both movable from normal non-transferring position to transferring position preparatory to a replenishing operation of the loom and movable from transferring back to normal non-transferring position by a reverse motion of the member when a replenishing operation of the loom is to be prevented, a carrier normally in non-transferring position, connections between the carrier and the member to move the carrier to transferring position when said member moves from normal to transferring position and said connections also causing the member to move to nontransferring position by a reverse motion when the carrier moves from transferring toward normal non-transferring position, a shuttle feeler pivoted to the carrier and having an operating finger and a shuttle position detecting nose, and an element for operating the finger mounted on the lay and normally out of operating position relatively to the finger, movement of the carrier to transfer position moving the operating finger into the path of the element to cause the latter to rock the shuttle feeler relaively to the carrier as the lay advances and move the shuttle position detecting nose toward the path of the shuttle, a misplaced shuttle engaging and arresting movement of the nose and cooperating with the element and the operating finger to move the carrier from transferring toward normal non-transferring position to eifect a reverse motion of said member.
11. In a weft replenishing loom having a backwardly and forwardly reciprocating lay carrying a shuttle to be replenished and having also transfer mechanism and a control member therefor both movable from normal non-transferring position to transferring position preparatory to a replenishing operation of the loom and movable from transferring back to normal non-transferring position by a reverse motion of the member when a replenishing operation of the loom is to be prevented, a carrier normally in non-transferring position and connected to the member to be moved to transfer position when said member moves to transferring position, movement of the carrier from transferring to normal non-transferring position causing motion of the member from transferring to non-transferring position, a shuttle feeler having an operating finger and a shuttle position detecting nose, a pivotal connection between the shuttle feeler and the carrier located above the finger and in front of the nose, and an element for operating the finger movingwith the lay in a path below the normal position of the finger, movement of the member to transfer position causing the carrier to move the finger into the path of the; element and the latter thereupon moving the finger forwardly and the nose downwardly'around said pivotal connection toward the path of the shuttle, a misplaced shuttle engaging and arresting downward motion of the nose and cooperating with the element and the finger to move the carrier from transferring to non-transferring position and efiect motion of said member from transferring to normal nontransferring position and prevent a replenishing operation of the loom.
12. In a weft replenishing loom having a backwardly and forwardly reciprocating lay provided with a shuttle to be replenished and operating with a transfer mechanism movable from normal non-transferring position to transferring position preparatory to a replenishing operation of the loom and movable also from transferring to nontransferring position to prevent a replenishing operation of the loom, a carrier movable from normal non-transferring to transferring position,
connections between the carrier and the transfer mechanism to cause said carrier to move to transferring position when the transfer mechanism moves to transferring position and also effective when the carrier moves from transferring to non-transferring position to move the transfer mechanism from transferring to non-transferring position, a shuttle feeler pivoted on the carrier and having an operating finger and a shuttle position detecting nose, and an element on the lay for operating the finger and normally missing the latter when the carrier is in normal non-transferring position, movement of the carrier to transferring position moving the finger into the path of the element and the latter thereupon rocking the shuttle feeler relatively to the carrier as the lay advances to move the shuttle position detecting nose toward the path of the shuttle, a misplaced shuttle arresting motion of the nose and cooperating with the element and the finger to move the carrier from transferring toward non-transferring position to prevent a replenishing operation of the loom when the nose engages a shuttle.
