(01. 70-68) My invention relates to slide fasteners, and parform of a circular disk having one or more lockticularly to an improved slider lock to prevent ing pins l extending downwardly through suitv pilfering orunauthorized use of bags equipped able openings Ii in the slider body, and movable with slide fasteners. into a position between the interlocking members,

used to someextent on cash bags, brief cases, key l8 has a suitable finger engaging portion and 10 and the like. In many of the locks heretofore a stem extendinginto the housing through the used and proposed, the lock mechanism was atslot ill in the locking member. The cross arm tached to the bag or other article and the slider of the key is adapted to pass through the slot carried a pivoted hasp or similar means for enwhen the key is inserted and when the key isgaging in the lock. There was a flexible connecturned, it rides up over the inclined surfaces 2| tion between the actual lock mechanism and the 'of the locking member and preferably rests in slider, which afiorded an opportunity for slipping notches 22; In this operation, the locking mem the fastener stringers through the slider and alher is lifted to unlocked position and the key lowingunauthorized opening of the fastener. snaps into the notches 22. It can then be used as According to my invention, a lock mechanism is a pull for operating the slider along the fastener 20 rigidly secured directly to the slider body so that stringers. It is more or less steadied by resting the slider itself is directly locked to the fastener in the notches 22 but it can be easily moved out members inside the slider channel. This gives no of these notches by twisting the key when it is opportunity for. any kind of manipulation exdesired to lock the slider, and remove the ky. It will be understood that I have illustrated 25 In the accompanying drawing, I have shown for only one simple typeof lock mechanism and that purposes of illustration, one embodiment which any suitable locking mechanism may be substimy invention may assume in practice.- In this tuted therefor.
