The present invention relates to improvements in the art of fishing equipment and refers more particularly to devices or covers designed for fish-hooks and provides a device of this char- 5 acter-wherein a neatly formed case or pocket composed preferably of stainless steel is provided, or it may be made of a plastic material or the like.
It is a prime object of the invention to provide 10 a suitable guard or cover whereby the individual hook is entirely concealed, and whereby the barbof the hook is shielded or prevented from contacting any object while being thus protected, objects such as clothing and the flesh of human beings and animals alike.
It is obvious that unprotected fish-hooks have frequently caused very serious wounds because of the fact that the particular shape of the fishhook renders them extremely difficult to remove from the object to which it is engaged. In fact the fish-hook is designed so as to become rigidly fixed within the fishs mouth making it effective for the purpose, which is all the more reason why it should be protected from engagement with r objects other than what it is intended for.
With the foregoing in mind, it will become readily apparent that the invention possesses further advantages, all of which will be clearly revealed during the course of the following detailed description, illustrated throughout the accompanying drawing, and more fully pointed out in the appended claims.
With reference to the drawing:

Figure 6 is an elevation of a conventional type key ring showing a plurality of the devices acapart relation, and space 2 intermediate said walls is thereby provided so as to slidably receive barbed end B of fish-hook C, and likewise release said hook at will.
Referring now to Figure 2, each of walls. I has semi-circular lower portion 4, and said portions rising vertically and terminating to obliquely disposed doubled-back portion 5 as indicated.
In conclusion it is obvious that the device is preferably composed of a relatively thin material, such as steel, plastic or the like and formed from a single blank as indicated in Figure 1, however it may be casted of suitable metal or otherwise, and it should be further understood that the invention is not restricted to the geometrical proportions as outline in Figure 1, however any departure from these lines would of course fall within the scope of the claims.
Having thus fully described my invention, what I claim as new is:
1. In a fish-hook cover composed of a blank, said blank being deflected and doubled over through the vertical center thereof and forming thereby a pair of spaced apart walls, each of said walls being substantially semi-circular at the lower portion thereof and this portion rising vertically therefrom and terminating to an obliquely doubled over portion.
2. In a fish-hook cover composed of a single blank, said blank being deflected in a manner so as to form a pair of walls of uniform proportions, and the space intermediate said walls being adapted to detaphably receive a fish-hook, each of said walls having an aperture therein and effecting an uninterrupted passage transversely through the device, said passage being adapted n permit the device to engage a key ring.
3. In a fish-hook cover, a unitary structure comprising a pair of walls. disposed in spaced apart relation, the space intermediate said walls being adapted to slidably receive a fish-hook, each of said walls being arcuate at the lower end thereof and rising vertically therefrom and terminating to an obliquely disposed doubled over portion, also each of said walls having an aperture therein, said apertures being in axial alignment with respect to each other so as to admit the passage of a key ring therethrough.
