The present invention relates to sliding clasp to a clasping fastenings and more particularly and locking device for fastenings of this kind.

It is to be understood that the internal mechanism of the lock 0 may be of any desired suitable construction and thus does not require further description.
Iclaim:
A locking means for the operating slider of a separable fastener meansfor the opening in a bag or other receptacle; comprising a lockable member rigidly projecting from said slider in the direction of the closing movement thereof, and a lock mounted at the end of the opening, comprising a casing having an aperture adapted to receive the projecting member, upon the opera! tion of the interlocking fastener by the slider to completely close said opening, whereby said slider may be automatically locked in closing position.
