  • FIG. 3 shows a partial sectional view of a preferred embodiment in the present invention.
  • FIG. 4 shows another partial sectional view of a preferred embodiment in the present invention.
  • FIG. 5 shows a cross-sectional view of another embodiment in the present invention.
  • FIG. 6 shows a partial sectional view of another embodiment in the present invention.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • FIGS. 1 and 2 illustrates an embodiment of the sports board in the present invention, which can be a recreational board for sports such as various surfboards, snowboards, grass boards, sandboards, etc., and can also serve as a rescue board or a buoy.
  • As shown in FIG. 1 , the sports board includes a foam core 1, a deck 2, and a bottom board 3. The foam core 1 is made of plastic foam materials such as expanded polystyrene (EPS), expanded polyethylene (EPE), expanded polypropylene (EPP), expanded ethylene polymer (EPO, co-polymerized with polystyrene and polyethylene, and foamed through cross-linking treatment), etc., and can be single-layer or multi-layered. The deck 2 and the bottom board 3 are made of plastic materials, are thinner than the foam core 1, and can be single-layer or multi-layered
  • The inner surface 20 of the deck 2 is integrally bonded to the entire top surface 11 of the foam core 1, and preferably further bonded to the entire peripheral surface 13 of the foam core board 1. As shown in FIG. 2 , the peripheral edge 201 of the deck 2 can extend to any position of the peripheral surface 13 of the foam core 1, but it will not exceed the bottom surface 12 of the foam core 1. Preferably, as shown in FIGS. 2 and 3 , the peripheral edge 201 of the deck 2 extends to the peripheral surface 13 of the foam core 1 and is flush with the bottom surface 12 of the foam core 1.
  • As shown in FIGS. 3 and 4 , the deck 2 preferably comprises a first top foam skin 21, a second top foam skin 22, and a non-foamed plastic layer 23 between them. The first top foam skin 21 and the second top foam skin 22 are made of plastic foam materials such as expanded polyethylene (EPE), expanded polypropylene (EPP), etc., with a thickness of approximately 2-4 mm. Preferably, the first top foam skin 21 and the second top foam skin 22 have the same thickness and material. The non-foamed plastic layer 23 can be made of plastic materials such as polyethylene, polypropylene, or nylon, with a thickness less than that of the first top foam skin 21 and the second top foam skin 22. The preferred thickness of the non-foamed plastic layer 23 is approximately 0.3-0.8 mm. The first top foam skin 21 is integrally bonded directly to the entire bottom surface of the non-foamed plastic layer 23, without any adhesive layer or other layer between them. The second top foam skin 22 is integrally bonded directly to the entire top surface of the non-foamed plastic layer 23, without any adhesive layer or other layer between them.
  • Preferably, the deck 2 further includes a non-foamed plastic film 24. The non-foamed plastic film 24 can be made of polyethylene, with a thickness of approximately 0.1-0.2 mm and may feature a printed pattern. The non-foamed plastic film 24 is integrally bonded directly to the entire top surface of the second top foam skin 22 by heat pressing, without any adhesive layer or other layer between them.
  • In one embodiment, the non-foamed plastic layer 23 is positioned between the first top foam skin 21 and the second top foam skin 22, and they are bonded together by heat pressing, without any adhesive layer between them.
  • In one embodiment, the entire deck 2 is bonded to the foam core 1 by heat pressing, without any adhesive layer between them.
  • In one embodiment, the thickness of the first top foam skin 21 may be thinner than that of the second top foam skin 22.
  • In one embodiment, the first top foam skin 21 is softer and more easily compressed than the second top foam skin 22.
  • Since the non-foamed plastic layer 23 of the present invention can cover only the entire top surface 11 of the foam core 1 or both the entire top surface 11 and the entire peripheral surface 13 of the foam core 1, as illustrated in FIG. 3 , the overall structure of the sports board is strengthened, allowing it to withstand greater impacts and more severe bending.
  • As shown in FIG. 3 , the bottom board 3 of the present invention is bonded to the foam core 1 by heat pressing, without any adhesive layer between them. Preferably, the bottom board 3 includes a non-foamed plastic plate 31 and a bottom foam skin 32. The non-foamed plastic plate 31 is directly bonded to the bottom foam skin 32 by heat pressing, without any adhesive layer or other layer between them. The inner surface 30 of the bottom board 3 is integrally bonded by heat pressing directly to the entire bottom surface 12 of the foam core 1, without any adhesive layer or other layer between them.
  • The non-foamed plastic plate 31, made of polyethylene with a thickness of approximately 0.3 to 1 mm, may feature printed patterns. It has a harder and more wear-resistant texture compared to the bottom foam skin 32, making it suitable for sliding on various surfaces such as water, snow, grass, or sand. Additionally, the thickness of the non-foamed plastic plate 31 is greater than that of the non-foamed plastic film 24 but less than that of the second top foam skin 22, and similar to the non-foamed plastic layer 23.
  • The bottom foam skin 32 is positioned between the non-foamed plastic plate 31 and the foam core 1, made of plastic foam materials such as expanded polyethylene (EPE), expanded polypropylene (EPP), and the like.
  • Moreover, before the bottom board 3 is bonded to the foam core 1, the thickness of the bottom foam skin 32 is approximately equivalent to that of the second top foam skin 22. However, after the bottom board 3 is bonded to the foam core 1, due to the pressure applied during bonding, the bottom foam skin 32 is compressed to be very thin, approximately only 0.3 to 0.5 mm (or even thinner). This results in the thickness of the bottom foam skin 32 being not only less than that of the second top foam skin 22 but also less than the thickness of the non-foamed plastic plate 31 and the non-foamed plastic layer 23.
  • As shown in FIGS. 5 and 6 , the entire peripheral edge 201 of the deck 2 is cut flush with the bottom surface 12 of the foam core 1. The entire peripheral edge 301 of the bottom board 3 not only extends outward beyond the bottom surface 12 of the foam core 1 but also bends upward to allow the part near the peripheral edge 301 of the bottom board 3 to be integrally attached to the deck 2. Therefore, water or fine impurities are less likely to penetrate the foam core 1.
  • According to FIG. 6 , although the bottom board 3 and the deck 2 overlap around the peripheral surface 13 of the foam core 1, the bottom board 3 is only bonded to the bottom surface 12 of the foam core 1 and not to the peripheral surface 13 of the foam core 1. Furthermore, although the peripheral edge 301 of the bottom board 3 bends upward, it does not exceed half of the vertical widths of the peripheral surface 13 of the foam core 1.
