- The disclosure relates to retaining devices and more particularly pertains to a new retaining device for fastening a vaporizer to a user. The present invention discloses a retaining device for a vaporizer comprising a line, which can be hung around a neck of a user, and to which a resilient band is engaged. The resilient band secures a vaporizer to the line.
- The prior art relates to retaining devices. Prior art retaining devices for vaporizers may comprise holed cradles, clamps, or sleeves engaged to lanyards. What is lacking in the prior art is a retaining device for a vaporizer comprising a line, which can be hung around a neck of a user, and to which a resilient band is engaged. The resilient band secures a vaporizer to the line.
- An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a line and a band. The line has opposed ends, which are mutually engaged so that the line defines a loop. The loop is configured for insertion of a head of a user so that the line is positioned around a neck of the user. The band, which is resiliently stretchable, is engaged to the line. The band is configured to be selectively stretched to position it around a vaporizer. The band is configured to rebound to removably engage the vaporizer so that the vaporizer is removably engaged to the line.
- There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
- The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.
- The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:
-
FIG. 1 is a kit view of a vaporizer retaining device according to an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 2 is an in-use view of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 3 is an in-use view of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 4 is an in-use view of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 5 is an in-use view of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 6 is an in-use view of an embodiment of the disclosure. - With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to
FIGS. 1 through 6 thereof, a new retaining device embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by thereference numeral 10 will be described. - As best illustrated in
FIGS. 1 through 6 , thevaporizer retaining device 10 generally comprises aline 12 and aband 14. Theline 12 has opposedends 16, which are mutually engaged so that theline 12 defines aloop 18. Theloop 18 is configured for insertion of a head of a user so that theline 12 is positioned around a neck of the user. Theline 12 may comprise strings, wires, chains, straps, and the like. The present invention also anticipates a pair offirst rings 20 and asecond ring 22. Thefirst rings 20 are engaged singly to theopposed ends 16 of theline 12. Thesecond ring 22 is loopedly engaged to the pair offirst rings 20 so that theline 12 defines theloop 18. - The
band 14, which comprises rubber, silicone, or elastomer, is resiliently stretchable and is engaged to theline 12. Theband 14 is configured to be selectively stretched to position it around avaporizer 24. Theband 14 is configured to rebound to removably engage thevaporizer 24 so that thevaporizer 24 is removably engaged to theline 12. - The
vaporizer retaining device 10 also may comprise afastener 26, which is selectively engageable to theband 14 so that theband 14 defines a pair ofsubloops 28, as shown inFIG. 2 . Thefastener 26 is selectively positionable on theband 14 so that thesubloops 28 are selectively sizeable. Thus, arespective subloop 28 is sizeable to a selectedvaporizer 24, as shown inFIG. 3 . Thefastener 26 may comprise acinch bead 30, or other fastening means, such as, but not limited to, cinch sleeves, clips, and the like. - The
vaporizer retaining device 10 also may comprise aconnector 32, which is engaged to theline 12 and is selectively engageable to theband 14. As shown inFIG. 1 , theconnector 32 is engaged to thesecond ring 22 so that theconnector 32 is engaged to theline 12. Theconnector 32 may comprise alobster clasp 34, or other connecting means, such as, but not limited to, clips, clamps, and the like. Somevaporizers 24 are equipped with an integral ring (not shown) to which thelobster clasp 34 can be engaged. - The
vaporizer retaining device 10 also may comprise asplit ring 36, which is engaged to theband 14 and is selectively engageable to theconnector 32. Thevaporizer retaining device 10 also may comprise a plurality ofbeads 38, which is engaged to theline 12 as shown inFIG. 1 . - The
band 14 may be one of a plurality ofbands 14, with eachband 14 having arespective circumference 40 so that the plurality ofbands 14 comprisesbands 14 having a variety ofcircumferences 40.Vaporizers 24 are available in a variety of configurations. Having a plurality ofbands 14 with a variety ofcircumferences 40 renders the vaporizer retainingdevice 10 compatible with a variety ofvaporizers 24. Arespective band 14 having acircumference 40 complementary to a selectedvaporizer 24 is configured to be selectively stretched to position it around theselected vaporizer 24. Therespective band 14 is configured to rebound to removably engage it to the selectedvaporizer 24 so that theselected vaporizer 24 is removably engaged to theline 12. - The present invention anticipates the
line 12 and the plurality ofbands 14 being configured as akit 42. A pair offirst rings 20 engaged singly to the opposed ends 16 of theline 12 of thekit 42. Asecond ring 22 is loopedly engaged to the pair offirst rings 20 so that theline 12 defines theloop 18. Alobster clasp 34 is engaged to thesecond ring 22. Each of a plurality of split rings 36 is engaged to arespective band 14. Thekit 42 also may comprise afastener 26, such as acinch bead 30. - In use, a
respective band 14 having acircumference 40 complementary to a selectedvaporizer 24 is selected from the plurality ofbands 14. Therespective band 14 is stretched to position it around the selectedvaporizer 24 and is allowed to rebound to removably engage therespective band 14 to the selectedvaporizer 24. The user then engages thelobster clasp 34 to thesplit ring 36, which is engaged to therespective band 14, so that thevaporizer 24 is engaged to theline 12. - With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
- Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
