Abstract

A shoe accessory attachment device that is configured to releasably secure to a shoe wherein the device of the present invention is operable to have decorative enamel pins releasably secured thereto. The present invention includes a central portion wherein the central portion has a first end and a second end with a consistent diameter therebetween. A first disc member is integrally formed on the first end of the central portion. A second disc member is integrally formed on the second end of the central portion. The first disc member and second disc member are annular in shape and have an equal diameter. A stem aperture is formed in the second disc member and is operable to receive a stem of a decorative enamel pin. A stem locking member is present adjacent the outer surface of the first disc member.

Description

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates generally to footwear, more specifically but not by way of limitation, a shoe accessory attachment device that facilitates an ability for an individual to secure enamel pins to various portions of a show for decorative purposes.

BACKGROUND

Footwear is well known in the art and there are numerous different types of shoes that include but are not limited to athletic shoes, formal shoes and many other types of shoes. Shoes ultimately can be part of a fashion appearance and can also serve to project a personality of other desired message for an individual. Various campaigns have occurred wherein specially decorated shoes are sold in limited edition to drive awareness for a cause of other social issue.
One type of shoe known commercially as Crocs®, is a popular type of casual shoe that are worn by millions of individuals. The structure of this type of shoe allows for individuals to releasably secure decorative elements that facilitate display of a multitude of expressions. While these are effective the existing technology is limited to a specific type of decorative element and cannot accommodate existing pins and the like which limits options to a user or requires the user to purchase the specific type of decorative element that can be releasably secured to the top of this style of shoe.
Accordingly, there is a need for an attachment device that can be secured to the top of a shoe wherein the attachment device is configured to have releasably secured thereto an enamel decorative pin so as to facilitate display of the pin on the shoe.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

It is the object of the present invention to provide an attachment device for a shoe wherein the device of the present invention includes a body manufactured from metal or other similar material.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a shoe accessory attachment device configured to facilitate attachment of a decorative enamel pin to a shoe wherein the body of the present invention includes a central portion that is cylindrical in shape having a first end and a second end.
A further object of the present invention is to provide an attachment device for a shoe wherein the device of the present invention wherein the body includes a first disc member integrally formed with the first end of the central portion.
Yet a further object of the present invention is to provide a shoe accessory attachment device configured to facilitate attachment of a decorative enamel pin to a shoe that further includes a second disc member integrally formed with the second end of the central portion.
Still another object of the present invention is to provide an attachment device for a shoe wherein the device of the present invention wherein the second disc member has a stem aperture bored therethrough operable to receive a stem of a decorative enamel pin.
An additional object of the present invention is to provide a shoe accessory attachment device configured to facilitate attachment of a decorative enamel pin to a shoe that further includes a stem locking member secured to the body adjacent the first disc member.
Yet a further object of the present invention is to provide an attachment device for a shoe wherein the device of the present invention wherein the first disc member and second disc member are annular and flat in shape extending outward from the central portion being perpendicular thereto.
To the accomplishment of the above and related objects the present invention may be embodied in the form illustrated in the accompanying drawings. Attention is called to the fact that the drawings are illustrative only. Variations are contemplated as being a part of the present invention, limited only by the scope of the claims.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

Referring now to the drawings submitted herewith, wherein various elements depicted therein are not necessarily drawn to scale and wherein through the views and figures like elements are referenced with identical reference numerals, there is illustrated a shoe accessory attachment device 100 constructed according to the principles of the present invention.
An embodiment of the present invention is discussed herein with reference to the figures submitted herewith. Those skilled in the art will understand that the detailed description herein with respect to these figures is for explanatory purposes and that it is contemplated within the scope of the present invention that alternative embodiments are plausible. By way of example but not by way of limitation, those having skill in the art in light of the present teachings of the present invention will recognize a plurality of alternate and suitable approaches dependent upon the needs of the particular application to implement the functionality of any given detail described herein, beyond that of the particular implementation choices in the embodiment described herein. Various modifications and embodiments are within the scope of the present invention.
It is to be further understood that the present invention is not limited to the particular methodology, materials, uses and applications described herein, as these may vary. Furthermore, it is also to be understood that the terminology used herein is used for the purpose of describing particular embodiments only, and is not intended to limit the scope of the present invention. Referring in particular to the Figures submitted herewith, the shoe accessory attachment device 100 includes a body wherein the body is manufactured from metal or other similar durable material. The body is formed having a central portion 10, first disc member 20 and second disc member 30. The central portion 10 is cylindrical in shape having a first end 11 and second end 12. The central portion 10 has a consistent diameter intermediate the first end 11 and second end 12. In a preferred embodiment the central portion 10 has a length of 4.3 mm but it should be understood within the scope of the present invention that the central portion 10 could be manufactured in alternate lengths.
The first end 11 has integrally formed therewith a first disc member 20. The first disc member 20 is annular in shape being planar in manner and is perpendicular to the central portion 10 extending outward therefrom. The first disc member 20 has a diameter of 12.5 mm but it should be understood within the scope of the present invention that the first disc member 20 could be provided in alternate diameters. The first disc member 20 has contiguously formed therewith the stem locking member 40. Stem locking member 40 includes plate member 41 and stem mount 42. Stem locking member 40 is movable in an inwards/outwards direction in order to facilitate securing of a stem of a decorative enamel pin (not illustrated herein) that has been journaled into stem aperture 50 further discussed herein. It is contemplated within the scope of the present invention that the stem locking member 40 could be constructed in alternate manners and achieve the desired objective discussed herein.
A second disc member 30 is integrally formed with the second end 12 of the central portion 10. The second disc member 30 is annular in shape and is perpendicular to the central portion 10 extending outward therefrom. The second disc member 30 is planar in manner and a preferred diameter thereof is 12.5 mm. It is contemplated within the scope of the present invention that the second disc member 30 could be provided in alternate diameters. The second disc member 30 has formed therein a stem aperture 50 wherein the stem aperture 50 is located in the center of the second disc member 50. The stem aperture 50 provides access to a passage wherein the passage is configured to receive a stem of a decorative enamel pin (not illustrated herein). It should be understood within the scope of the present invention that the stem aperture 50 could be provided in alternate diameters in order to receive therein different size stems of decorative enamel pins.
In the preceding detailed description, reference has been made to the accompanying drawings that form a part hereof, and in which are shown by way of illustration specific embodiments in which the invention may be practiced. These embodiments, and certain variants thereof, have been described in sufficient detail to enable those skilled in the art to practice the invention. Claims

What is claimed is:

1. A shoe accessory attachment device configured to releasably secure to a shoe and releasably receive decorative enamel pins wherein the shoe accessory attachment device comprises:

a central portion, said central portion being cylindrical in shape, said central portion having a first end and a second end, said central portion having a consistent diameter intermediate the first end and the second end;

a first disc member, said first disc member being integrally formed on the first end of the central portion, said first disc member being annular in shape, said first disc member being perpendicular to the central portion, said first disc member having an outer surface opposite said central portion;

a second disc member, said second disc member being integrally formed on the second end of the central portion, said second disc member being annular in shape, said second disc member being perpendicular to the central portion, said second disc member having a stem aperture journaled thereinto on an outer surface thereof distal to the central portion, said stem aperture configured to receive a stem of the decorative enamel pin;

a stem locking member, said stem locking member being adjacent said outer surface of said first disc member.

2. The shoe accessory attachment device configured to releasably secure to a shoe and releasably receive decorative enamel pins as recited in claim 1, wherein said stem locking member further includes a plate member and a stem mount.

3. The shoe accessory attachment device configured to releasably secure to a shoe and releasably receive decorative enamel pins as recited in claim 2, wherein said first disc member has a diameter of 12.5 mm.

4. The shoe accessory attachment device configured to releasably secure to a shoe and releasably receive decorative enamel pins as recited in claim 3, wherein said second disc member has a diameter of 12.5 mm.

5. The shoe accessory attachment device configured to releasably secure to a shoe and releasably receive decorative enamel pins as recited in claim 4, wherein the central portion has a length of 4.3 mm.

6. The shoe accessory attachment device configured to releasably secure to a shoe and releasably receive decorative enamel pins as recited in claim 5, wherein the shoe accessory attachment device is manufactured from metal.
