Abstract
Description
- The present invention relates to a bed, and more particularly to a headboard.
- Most of the headboards on the market are integral board structures. In general, the front of a headboard has a soft cushion so that the user can lean on the headboard comfortably. The soft cushion is installed in the headboard. This headboard is large in size and heavy in weight. It is inconvenient to disassemble, assemble and transport the headboard. In particular, it takes up a lot of space during transportation, and the logistics cost is high. In addition, in order to avoid the increase of materials due to the large volume and the increased space occupied in transportation, the height of the headboard is often limited. The height of the corresponding soft cushion is also fixed. The soft cushion is generally short. The installation of the headboard is fixed and cannot be changed according to the height of the bed frame or use requirements, which results in limitations in use.
- Accordingly, the inventor of the present invention has devoted himself based on his many years of practical experiences to solve these problems.
- The primary object of the present invention is to provide a headboard, which has a simple structure, can be flexibly installed in use, and can be rolled up to be small in size for packaging and transportation.
- In order to achieve the above object, the present invention adopts the following technical solutions:
- A headboard is capable of being compressed and rolled up. The headboard comprises a soft cushion and a cloth cover. The soft cushion is placed inside the cloth cover. A bed body is located in front of a fixed surface. The headboard is movably arranged on the fixed surface and located at one end of the bed body.
- Preferably, the fixed surface is a wall.
- Preferably, the soft cushion is a sponge cushion, and the cloth cover has an opening for the soft cushion to be placed into the cloth cover.
- Preferably, the headboard is supported between the fixed surface and the bed body.
- Preferably, a bottom of the headboard has at least two support feet.
- Alternatively, a bottom of the headboard is supported on at least two support members. The support members each include a support base and two bracing plates that are oppositely disposed on the support base. The bracing plates are inclined inwardly. The bottom of the headboard is sandwiched between the two bracing plates.
- Preferably, the headboard is detachably connected to the fixed surface.
- Preferably, a back of the headboard is detachably connected to the fixed surface through hook-and-loop fasteners.
- Preferably, a back of the cloth cover is formed with a fabric strip covered with tiny loops, and the fixed surface has a plurality of fabric strips covered with tiny hooks corresponding to the fabric strip on the back of the cloth cover.
- Alternatively, at least one hanging handle is provided on a top of the headboard, and a hook corresponding to the hanging handle is provided on the fixed surface.
- With the above structure, the headboard of the present invention is directly formed with the soft cushion placed into the cloth cover. The structure is simple and portable. When in use, the headboard can be directly placed and secured between the fixed surface and the bed body, or it can be detachably connected to the fixed surface. The height of the headboard can be adjusted according to the height of the bed body or the needs of use. It is flexible and convenient to use the headboard. In addition, the headboard is small in size and light in weight after being compressed and rolled up, which can reduce the cost of packaging and transportation greatly.

FIG. 13 is a partial enlarged view of circle A inFIG. 12 (showing the connection between the headboard and the fixed surface). - Embodiments of the present invention will now be described, by way of example only, with reference to the accompanying drawings.
- Referring to
FIG. 1 throughFIG. 4 , the present invention discloses aheadboard 1. Theheadboard 1 comprises asoft cushion 11 and acloth cover 12. Thesoft cushion 11 is placed inside thecloth cover 12. When in use, theheadboard 1 cooperates with one end of abed body 2. Thebed body 2 is located in front of afixed surface 3. Theheadboard 1 is movably arranged on the fixedsurface 3 and located at one end of thebed body 2 to form an end soft cushion. - The
fixed surface 3 is a wall. Thebed body 2 is located in front of the wall. Thebed body 2 may include amattress 22 placed on abed frame 21. Thesoft cushion 11 in theheadboard 1 can be rolled up when not in use. Thesoft cushion 11 may be a sponge cushion. In the embodiment shown inFIG. 2 , thesoft cushion 11 is a square cushion. Thesoft cushion 11 may be designed in different shapes and sizes according to different use requirements. Thecloth cover 12 corresponds in shape to thesoft cushion 11. The style of the cloth cover can be customized. Thecloth cover 12 has anopening 121 for thesoft cushion 11 to be placed into thecloth cover 12. Theopening 121 is provided with a coveringportion 122. The coveringportion 122 can be opened and closed relative to thecloth cover 12 through a zipper, so that thesoft cushion 11 can be placed into thecloth cover 12 easily. - When the
headboard 1 of the present invention is to be packaged and transported, theheadboard 1 can be compressed and rolled up, as shown inFIG. 3 . Thewhole headboard 1 can be packaged to be small in size and light in weight, so that the cost of packaging and transportation can be reduced greatly. In use, after theheadboard 1 is unfolded, theheadboard 1 can be directly supported between thefixed surface 3 and thebed body 2, or can be detachably connected to the fixedsurface 3, so as to form a headboard at one end of thebed body 2. - As shown in
FIG. 4 , theheadboard 1 is directly supported between thefixed surface 3 and thebed body 2, so as to secure theheadboard 1. A space for theheadboard 1 to be placed is defined between thebed body 2 and the fixingsurface 3, so that theheadboard 1 can be directly secured and supported at one end of thebed body 2. - Further, the bottom of the
headboard 1 has at least twosupport feet 13 to increase the height of theheadboard 1, so that theheadboard 1 can match with thebed bodies 2 of different heights and provide a moisture resistance function. Besides, the volume of theheadboard 1 can be appropriately reduced. In this embodiment, theheadboard 1 with thesupport feet 13 can be directly placed and secured between thefixed surface 3 and thebed body 2. As shown inFIG. 5 andFIG. 6 , in this embodiment, both sides of the bottom of theheadboard 1 have thesupport feet 13, respectively. Thesupport feet 13 are directly placed on the ground to form a support. The bottom of thesoft cushion 11 is directly formed with the support feet. For example, the support feet are integrally formed with the soft cushion, or the support feet are formed by cutting the soft cushion. The cloth cover corresponds in shape to the soft cushion. The soft cushion is placed into the cloth cover, thereby forming a headboard structure with support feet. - As shown in
FIGS. 7 to 9 , theheadboard 1 in this embodiment may be directly placed and secured between thefixed surface 3 and thebed body 2. The bottom of theheadboard 1 is supported on at least twosupport members 4. Thesupport members 4 are placed on the ground, so that theheadboard 1 is supported at a certain height from the ground. As shown inFIG. 9 , thesupport member 4 includes asupport base 41 and two bracingplates 42 that are oppositely disposed on thesupport base 41. The bracingplates 42 are inclined inwardly. The opening between the two bracingplates 42 is narrow, forming a certain elastic bracing force, so that thesupport members 4 can be adapted for headboards of different thicknesses. The bottom of theheadboard 1 is sandwiched between the two bracingplates 42. - As shown in
FIG. 10 andFIG. 11 , in this embodiment, the back of thecloth cover 12 of theheadboard 1 is detachably connected to the fixedsurface 3 through hook-and-loop fasteners. The back of thecloth cover 12 is formed with afabric strip 123 covered with tiny loops. The back of thecloth cover 12 may be directly made of a fabric covered with tiny loops, so as to adhere to a fabric strip covered with tiny hooks provided on the fixedsurface 3. The fixedsurface 3 has at least onefabric strip 31 covered with tiny hooks corresponding to the fabric strip covered with tiny loops on the back of thecloth cover 12. In this embodiment, the fixedsurface 3 has threefabric strips 31 covered with tiny hooks. Through the hook-and-loop fasteners, theheadboard 1 can be movably connected to the fixedsurface 3 with ease. The assembly and disassembly of the headboard are easy. The installation position of theheadboard 1 can be adjusted. - As shown in
FIG. 12 andFIG. 13 , in this embodiment, theheadboard 1 is hung and secured on the fixedsurface 3. At least one hanginghandle 124 is provided on the top of thecloth cover 12 of theheadboard 1. Preferably at least two hanginghandles 124 are provided on the top of thecloth cover 12 of theheadboard 1. Ahook 32 corresponding to the hanginghandle 124 is provided on the fixedsurface 3. When the headboard needs to be installed, the hanginghandle 124 of theheadboard 1 is directly hooked on thehook 32. It is convenient to install and use theheadboard 1. - With the above structure, the headboard of the present invention is directly formed with the soft cushion placed into the cloth cover. The structure is simple and portable. When in use, the headboard can be directly placed and secured between the fixed surface and the bed body, or it can be detachably connected to the fixed surface. The height of the headboard can be adjusted according to the height of the bed body or the needs of use. It is flexible and convenient to use the headboard. In addition, the headboard is small in size and light in weight after being compressed and rolled up, which can reduce the cost of packaging and transportation greatly.
- Although particular embodiments of the present invention have been described in detail for purposes of illustration, various modifications and enhancements may be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the present invention. Accordingly, the present invention is not to be limited except as by the appended claims.
