  • BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a wrist band that is wearable around a user's wrist. The wrist band is matable to itself thereby forming a closed loop of an adjustable diameter thereby facilitating the wrist band to accommodate a variety of sizes of user's wrists. A plurality of test tube holders is each disposed on the wrist band thereby facilitating each of the test tube holders to insertably receive a respective one of a plurality of test tubes for temporarily storing the test tubes. An elastomeric strap is coupled to the wrist band thereby facilitating the elastomeric strap to be stretched over gauze pads for temporarily storing the gauze pads.
  • There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
  • The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF SEVERAL VIEWS OF THE DRAWING(S)
  • The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:
  • FIG. 1 is a top perspective view of a test tube holder assembly according to an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • FIG. 2 is a top view of an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • FIG. 3 is a bottom view of an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • FIG. 4 is a bottom perspective in-use view of an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • FIG. 5 is a top perspective in-use view of an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to FIGS. 1 through 5 thereof, a new test tube device embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by the reference numeral 10 will be described.
  • As best illustrated in FIGS. 1 through 5 , the test tube holder assembly 10 generally comprises a wrist band 12 that is wearable around a user's wrist 14. The wrist band 12 is matable to itself thereby forming a closed loop of an adjustable diameter thereby facilitating the wrist band 12 to accommodate a variety of sizes of user's wrists 14. A first mating member 16 is coupled to a top surface 18 of the wrist band 12 and the first mating member 16 is positioned adjacent to a first end 20 of the wrist band 12. A second mating member 22 is coupled to a bottom surface 24 of the wrist band 12 and the second mating member 22 is positioned adjacent to a second end 26 of the wrist band 12. Additionally, the first mating member 16 releasably engages the second mating member 22 when the wrist band 12 is formed into the closed loop. A plurality of test tube holders 28 is provided and each of the test tube holders 28 is disposed on the wrist band 12 thereby facilitating each of the test tube holders 28 to insertably receive a respective one of a plurality of test tubes 30 for temporarily storing the test tubes 30. The test tubes 30 may be blood sample tubes, for example, and the user may be a phlebotomist that is collecting blood samples.
  • The plurality of test tube holders 28 comprise an elastomeric band 32 that has a primary end 34 and secondary end 36 which are each coupled to the top surface 18 of the wrist band 12. The elastomeric band 32 is oriented to extend substantially between the first end 20 and the second end 26 of the wrist band 12. The elastomeric band 32 is attached to the wrist band 12 at a plurality of connection points 38 that are spaced apart from each other and are distributed between the primary end 34 and the secondary end 36. The elastomeric band 32 curves upwardly from the wrist band 12 between a respective pair of the connection points 38 to define each of the test tube holders 28 that are positioned between each of the respective pair of connection points 38.
  • An elastomeric strap 40 is coupled to the wrist band 12 thereby facilitating the elastomeric strap 40 to be stretched over gauze pads 42 for temporarily storing the gauze pads 42. In this way the gauze pads 42 are constantly available to the phlebotomist while the phlebotomist is collecting the blood samples. The elastomeric strap 40 is positioned on the top surface 18 of the wrist band 12 and the elastomeric strap 40 is positioned between the secondary end 36 of the elastomeric band 32 and the second end 26 of the wrist band 12. The elastomeric strap 40 is oriented to extend along a line that is perpendicularly oriented with the axis extending between the first end 20 and the second end 26 of the wrist band 12.
  • In use, the wrist band 12 is wrapped around the user's wrist 14 such that the first mating member 16 engages the second mating member 22. Each of the test tubes 30 is inserted into a respective one of the test tube holders 28 and the gauze pads 42 are positioned beneath the elastomeric strap 40. In this way the test tubes 30 and the gauze pads 42 are continually available during the collection of blood samples. Additionally, the test tubes 30 and gauze pads 42 are stored in a hands-manner to facilitate the user to efficiently perform their tasks.
  • With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
