  • BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION (1) Field of the Invention
  • The disclosure relates to toilet basket devices and more particularly pertains to a new toilet basket device for enhancing cleanliness of a toilet. The device includes a paper basket with a pleated outer wall that can be positioned in a toilet which is installed in a recreational vehicle. The basket inhibits fecal matter from sticking to a bowl of the toilet when the toilet is flushed.
  • (2) Description of Related Art Including Information Disclosed Under 37 CFR 1.97 and 1.98
  • The prior art relates to toilet basket devices including a variety of paper baskets that can be positioned in a bowl of a toilet basket for assisting with flushing fecal matter in the toilet and a variety of paper guards that are positionable on a toilet. In no instance does the prior art disclose a paper basket that can be positioned in a toilet which is infused with a pleasing chemical scent.
  • BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a toilet that is positioned in a recreational vehicle to be employed for defecation and urination by occupants of the recreational vehicle. A basket is positionable in the toilet prior to the toilet is employed for defecation to inhibit fecal matter from sticking to the toilet when the toilet is flushed. The basket is comprised of a biodegradable material to be safe to flush into a sewage storage tank of the recreational vehicle. Additionally, the basket is infused with a chemical scent to mask the odor of feces when the basket is positioned in the toilet.
  • There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
  • The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF SEVERAL VIEWS OF THE DRAWING(S)
  • The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:
  • FIG. 1 is a top perspective view of a paper toilet basket device according to an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • FIG. 2 is a top view of an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • FIG. 3 is a front view of an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • FIG. 4 is a bottom view of an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • FIG. 5 is a bottom perspective view of an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • FIG. 6 is a perspective in-use view of an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to FIGS. 1 through 6 thereof, a new toilet basket device embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by the reference numeral 10 will be described.
  • As best illustrated in FIGS. 1 through 6 , the paper toilet basket device 10 generally comprises a toilet 12 that is positioned in a recreational vehicle 14, such as a class B motorhome, a tow behind camper, a boat with a cabin or any other type of recreational vehicle that has a functional water closet. In this way the toilet 12 can be employed for defecation and urination by occupants of the recreational vehicle 14. The toilet 12 has a bowl 16 and a throat 18 and the toilet 12 may be a recreational vehicle toilet of any conventional design. Furthermore, the toilet 12 may be plumbed to a sewage storage tank 20 of the recreational vehicle 14.
  • A basket 22 is provided and the basket 22 is positionable in the toilet 12 prior to the toilet 12 being employed for defecation. In this way the basket 22 can inhibit fecal matter from sticking to the toilet 12 when the toilet 12 is flushed. The basket 22 is comprised of a biodegradable material, including but not being limited to paper or compressed plant material, such that the basket 22 is safe to flush into the sewage storage tank 20 of the recreational vehicle 14. Furthermore, the basket 22 is infused with a chemical scent to mask the odor of feces when the basket 22 is positioned in the toilet 12. The chemical scent may be a lemon scent, a floral scent or any other scent that is commonly employed for masking odors associated with water closets.
  • The basket 22 has a bottom wall 24 and an outer wall 26 angling upwardly and outwardly from the bottom wall 24 and the outer wall 26 has a distal edge 28 with respect to the bottom wall 24 which defines an opening 30 into the basket 22. The outer wall 26 has a series of pleats 32 extending between the bottom wall 24 and the distal edge 28. The pleats 32 are evenly spaced apart from each other and are distributed around the outer wall 26. Additionally, the distal edge 28 is scalloped between each of the series of pleats 32.
  • The outer wall 26 is sloped with respect to the bottom wall 24 such that the opening 30 defined by the distal edge 28 of the outer wall 26 has a diameter that is greater than a diameter of the bottom wall 24. In this way the outer wall 26 can lie against an interior surface 34 of the bowl 16 of the toilet 12 having the bottom wall 24 covering the throat 18 when the basket 22 is positioned in the toilet 12. The bottom wall 24 may have a diameter ranging between approximately 7.0 cm and 13.0 cm and the outer wall 26 may have a height ranging between approximately 5.0 cm and 8.0 cm. Additionally, the opening 30 defined by the distal edge 28 may have a diameter ranging between approximately 25.0 cm and 30.0 cm. The outer wall 26 sticks to the bowl 16 of the toilet 12 when the outer wall 26 becomes wet and the bottom wall 24 sticks to a throat plate 36 in the toilet 12 when the bottom wall 24 becomes wet. In this way the basket 22 stays in place when the basket 22 is positioned in the bowl 16 of the toilet 12.
  • In use, the basket 22 is positioned in the bowl 16 of the toilet 12 prior to employing the toilet 12 for defecation. In this way the basket 22 captures the feces thereby inhibiting the feces from sticking to the bowl 16 of the toilet 12. Thus, the basket 22 facilitates the feces to be fully flushed through the throat 18 of the toilet 12 when the toilet 12 is flushed. Furthermore, the basket 22 inhibits the bowl 16 from becoming soiled with the feces when the toilet 12 is flushed. The basket 22 is flushed into the sewage storage tank 20 when the toilet 12 is flushed and the basket 22 begins to decay.
  • With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, device and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
