  • FIG. 4 is a perspective in-use view of an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to FIGS. 1 through 4 thereof, a new stacking game embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by the reference numeral 10 will be described.
  • As best illustrated in FIGS. 1 through 4 , the block stacking game 10 generally comprises a plurality of blocks 12 that is each elongated. The plurality of blocks 12 is stackable upon each other to define a tower 14 in a manner that is similar to the game of Jenga as marketed by Hasbro Inc, 1027 Newport Avenue, Pawtucket, R.I. 02862. Each of the blocks 12 has a respective one of a plurality of colors and each of the blocks 12 has command indicia 16 printed thereon. The plurality of blocks 12 includes a set of first blocks 18, a set of second blocks 20, a set of third blocks 22 and a set of fourth blocks 24. Each of the first blocks 18, the second blocks 20, the third blocks 22 and the fourth blocks 24 has a unique color with respect to each other. In this way each of the first blocks 18, the second blocks 20, the third blocks 22 and the fourth blocks 24 is visually identifiable by players.
  • Respective ones of the first blocks 18 have first command indicia 26 printed thereon comprising words to communicate a command for a player to obey. The first command indicia 26 may comprise the words “win $100”. Respective ones of the second blocks 20 have second command indicia 28 printed thereon comprising words to communicate a command for a player to obey. The second command indicia 28 may comprise the words “one free pull”. Respective ones of the third blocks 22 have third command indicia 30 printed thereon comprising words to communicate a command for a player to obey. The third command indicia 30 may comprise the words “lose a turn”. Respective ones of the fourth blocks 24 have fourth command indicia 32 printed thereon comprising words to communicate a command for a player to obey. The fourth command indicia 32 may comprise the words “lose $100”.
  • Each of the blocks 12 has a first end 34, a second end 36 and an outer surface 38 extending between the first end 34 and the second end 36, and each of the blocks 12 is elongated between the first end 34 and the second end 36. The outer surface 38 has a top side 40, a bottom side 42 and a first lateral side 44, the plurality of blocks 12 is stackable such that the top side 40 and the bottom side 42 of the outer surface 38 of each of the blocks 12 engages each other. The first command indicia 26 are printed on the first lateral side 44 corresponding to respective ones of the first blocks 18 such that the first command indicia 26 are concealed from the players when the blocks 12 are stacked. Additionally, the second command indicia 28 are printed on the first lateral side 44 corresponding to respective ones of the second blocks 20 such that the second command indicia 28 are concealed from the players when the blocks 12 are stacked. The third command indicia 30 are printed on the first lateral side 44 corresponding to respective ones of the third blocks 22 such that the third command indicia 30 are concealed from the players when the blocks 12 are stacked. Furthermore, the fourth command indicia 32 are printed on the first lateral side 44 corresponding to respective ones of the fourth blocks 24 such that the fourth command indicia 32 are concealed from the players when the blocks 12 are stacked.
  • A plurality of playing cards 46 and each of the playing cards 46 has a unique color with respect to each other which corresponds to the color of respective ones of the blocks 12. The playing cards 46 are randomly shuffled such that each of the playing cards 46 can be sequentially drawn by a player. A selected one of the blocks 12 which has a color corresponding to the color of the playing card 46 that is drawn by the player is removable from the tower 14. Moreover, the command indicia 16 on the block 12 that is removed from the tower 14 instructs a player to perform game play that is articulated by the command indicia 16 on the block 12 that is removed from the tower 14.
  • The plurality of playing cards 46 includes a set of first playing cards 48, a set of second playing cards 50, a set of third playing cards 52 and a set of fourth playing cards 54. Each of the first playing cards 46 has a color that corresponds to the color of each of the first blocks 18 and each of the second playing cards 50 has a color that corresponds to the color of each of the second blocks 20. Furthermore, each of the third playing cards 52 has a color that corresponds to the color of each of the third blocks 22 and each of the fourth playing cards 54 has a color that corresponds to the color of each of the fourth blocks 24.
  • A plurality of currency notes 56 is provided and value indicia 58 are printed on the currency notes 56. The value indicia 58 may be $100.00 or other predetermined value of currency. A pre-determined number of the currency notes 56 are distributed to each of the players at the beginning of game play. Furthermore, the currency notes 56 assigned to each of the players is relinquished or earned in accordance with the command indicia 16 on the block that is removed from the tower 14.
  • In use, the plurality of blocks 12 is stacked into the tower 14 and $300.00 worth of currency notes 56 are distributed to each of the players. Each player draws a playing card 48 and subsequently removes a block 12 from the tower 14 that has a color which corresponds to the color of the player card 48 that the player draws. The player then must obey whatever the command indicia 16 on the block 12 that was drawn from the tower 14 articulates to the player. The player deposits a currency note 56 into a communal collection of currency notes 56 when the command indicia 16 instructs the player to do so, and the player receives a currency note 56 from the communal collection of currency notes 56 when the command indicia 16 instructs the player to do so. Furthermore, the player performs whatever game play that the command indicia 16 instruct the player to do. The game progresses until such time that the tower 14 collapses from having blocks 12 removed from the tower 14, and the player that has the greatest amount of currency notes 56 is deemed the winner.
  • With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, game and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
