Abstract

A convertible hat comprising a cap portion comprising one or more panels; a liner directly opposite said cap portion wherein said liner is coupled to said cap portion thereby forming a storage compartment; a first band and a second band parallel said first band located alongside a portion of said cap portion; and a resealable opening on the cap portion to allow access to the storage compartment wherein the resealable opening is located between and below the first band and the second band such that the resealable opening is imperceptible.

CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS

This application claims priority to Provisional Patent Application No. 63/063,963, filed on Aug. 11, 2020, now pending, which is hereby incorporated by reference in its entirety.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

This invention relates to a convertible bag. More particularly, the invention relates to a convertible bag with imperceptible storage compartments useful in carrying personal belongings in a convenient and safe fashion.

2. Description of the Related Art

In markets today, there are very limited products offered for garment and wearables that allow a user to safely store valuables while out. While there is a great concern for the safety of a person's valuables, there is even a greater concern for the safety of a person's health due to the current pandemic of the virus Covid-19.
These safety concerns can be magnified when a person is travelling or exploring new places.
Very few products offered address those safety concerns while offering imperceptible storage compartments useful in carrying personal belongings in a convenient and safe fashion.
Other products offered for this are bags, backpacks or wallets, however, these are wearables are known for carrying valuables and can often render a person a target. In addition, these solutions do not address the convenience of wanting to travel and explore whereabouts in a light manner without being encumbered with multiple bags, wallets, personal belongings such as sunglasses, and even face masks.
Currently, there are no useful alternatives that effectively assist a user in carrying personal belongings in a safe, convenient and light manner. As will be disclosed below, the present disclosure addresses these needs and covers a convertible hat with storage compartments and a method to use the same to prevent these inconveniences and solve these issues. It would also be convenient if a hat, headwear, sports cap, or head covering could have the capacity to safely store objects, and aid in the protection of a person's health against the current Covid-19 virus crisis.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

In one aspect, the present invention is embodied as a convertible hat which includes a cap portion with one or more panels, a liner directly opposite the cap portion and coupled the cap portion thereby forming a storage compartment. Here, the convertible hat is reversible and either the cap portion or the liner can be worn outwardly.
The convertible hat can also include a first band and a second band parallel to one another alongside a portion of the cap portion, and a resealable opening on the cap portion to allow access to the storage compartment where the resealable opening is located between and below the first band and the second band such that the resealable opening is imperceptible.
In one embodiment, the present disclosure is embodied as convertible hat with one or more eyelets adapted to receive a pull tab, an attachment, a tooth, a hook, a tab and/or a protrusion such that a user can attach belongings to the convertible hat in addition to storing belongings within the storage compartment. In some embodiments, the hat includes a drawstring attached to the eyelets or hat thereby rendering the convertible hat wearable along a person's shoulder, back or waist like a backpack.
In another embodiment, both the cap portion and the liner are made of a resilient material such that the convertible hat is reversible and such that either the cap portion or the liner can be worn as an outer and top portion of the convertible hat. In other embodiments, the liner is made of a resilient material to ensure that a user's belongings remain stable within the storage compartment and don't create a bulge inside the hat.
In yet another embodiment, the disclosure is embodied as a headwear where the cap portion and said liner are coupled alongside a peripheral bottom outer edge of the convertible hat, and alongside a peripheral bottom outer edge of both the cap portion and the liner thereby allowing for a maximum storage compartment within the convertible hat. In one embodiment, by having the liner and the cap portion only coupled along the outer peripheral edge and perimeter of both, a maximum storage compartment is created. In other embodiments, the liner and cap portion are sewn along a smaller portion thereby creating a smaller storage compartment.
In another embodiment, the convertible hat includes a sweat band alongside the bottom outer edge of the convertible hat, the cap portion and the liner. Here, the sweatband serves as an absorption line for a user's sweat but also serves as a structural reinforcement of the coupling between the liner and cap portion along the outer periphery of the convertible hat.
In one embodiment, the convertible hat has a resealable opening which can be of a zipper, a hook and loop (Velcro®), a plurality of complementary magnets, and a plurality of complementary hooks and eyes. The complementary magnets, strips of hook and loop or hook and eyes are the resealable means of the resealable opening of the storage compartment.
In some embodiments, the convertible hat also includes sewn taping on the liner for additional structural integrity, while in other embodiments, the liner also includes a pocket adapted to receive a user's belongings such as currency, bills, card and thin objects. The convertible hat can also include a visor.
The convertible hat can also include a pull tab terminating in a magnet and extending between the cap portion and a top portion of the visor, such that a user can secure a belonging between the visor and the cap portion and attach the belonging by connecting the pull tab magnet with a magnet located alongside the cap portion. In some cases, magnets are within the bands, alongside the cap portion or can connect with a magnet on the opposite end of the pull tab. Here, the pull tab's other end can be accessed through the resealable opening of the storage compartment.
In one particular embodiment, the convertible hat has a visor which includes an opening, such that the opening is a handle making the convertible hat portable. In other embodiments, the hat also includes a front tag coupled to a front end of the first band and the second band, further adapted to render the resealable opening imperceptible.
In an alternative embodiment, the convertible hat includes a resealable opening located alongside a diameter of the cap portion and between the first band, said second band which are also along a diameter of the hat.
In another embodiment, the convertible hat includes a cap portion with one or more panels, a liner directly opposite the cap portion where the liner is coupled to the cap portion alongside an outer edge of both the cap portion and the liner form a storage compartment, a resealable opening alongside a diameter of the cap portion and such that the resealable opening is imperceptible; and a visor.
In some embodiments, the cap portion includes a first half portion and a second half portion where the first half portion and the second half portion are joined at a top of the cap portion and where the first half portion and the second half portion terminate in two resilient flaps and bands forming an imperceptible gap wherein the resealable opening is located under the two resilient flaps. In one embodiments, this convertible hat includes one or more eyelets within either the cap portion, the visor portion, and/or both the cap and visor sections. They eyelets can receive one or more attachments such that a user can secure a belonging along a surface of the cap portion, a surface of the visor, or a surface of the cap portion and a surface of the visor portion.
In one embodiment, the cap portion of the convertible hat includes a first half portion and a second half portion wherein the first half portion and the second half portion are joined at a top of the cap portion and wherein the first half portion and the second half portion terminate in two reinforced bands forming an imperceptible gap wherein the resealable opening is located under the two reinforced bands.
In another embodiment, the convertible hat includes a visor, one or more eyelets within part of the cap portion and the visor portion, where the eyelets are adapted to receive one or more attachments such that a user can secure a belonging along a surface of the cap portion, a surface of the visor, or a surface of the cap portion and a surface of the visor portion.
In one embodiment, the convertible hat includes a visor and a cap cover coupled to an outer periphery of the cap portion and adapted to cover an entirety of the cap portion.
In accordance with one form of this disclosure, there is provided a method for using a convertible hat including the steps of locating a resealable opening within the convertible hat, opening the resealable opening and accessing a storage compartment; placing a user's belongings within the storage compartment; sealing the resealable opening; and wearing said convertible hat. The method can also include the steps of securing a user's belonging on the surface of the convertible hat using an attachment, a hook, a closeable pull tab and/or a protrusion.
Before explaining the various embodiments of the invention in detail, it is to be understood that the invention is not limited in its application to the details of construction and to the arrangements of the components set forth in the following description or illustrated in the drawings. Rather, the invention is capable of other embodiments and of being practiced and carried out in various ways. Also, it is to be understood that the terminology employed herein is for the purpose of description and should not be regarded as limiting.
As such, those skilled in the art will appreciate that the conception, upon which this disclosure is based, may readily be utilized as a basis for the designing of other structures, methods and systems for carrying out the several purposes of the present invention. It is important, therefore, that the claims be regarded as including such equivalent constructions insofar as they do not depart from the spirit and scope of the present invention.
Further, the purpose of the foregoing abstract is to enable the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and the public generally, and especially the scientists, engineers and practitioners in the art who are not familiar with patent or legal terms or phraseology, to determine quickly from a cursory inspection the nature and essence of the technical disclosure of the application. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The embodiment and various embodiments can now be better understood by turning to the following detailed description of the embodiments, which are presented as illustrated examples of the embodiment defined in the claims. It is expressly understood that the embodiment as defined by the claims may be broader than the illustrated embodiments described below. Many alterations and modifications may be made by those having ordinary skill in the art without departing from the spirit and scope of the embodiments.
Referring now to the drawings and the characters of reference marked thereon, FIGS. 1 and 2 show a first embodiment of the convertible hat with storage compartment. Here, the convertible hat 100 includes a cap portion 110 and one or more panels 112. A liner 120 is located directly opposite the cap portion 110. The liner 120 is coupled to the cap portion 110 and together, they form a storage compartment 130.
As shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, in one embodiment, a first band 113 and a second band 114 are parallel to one another and are located alongside a portion of the cap portion 110. A resealable opening 140 is located on the cap portion 110 to allow access to the storage compartment 130 where the resealable opening is located between and below the first band and the second band and makes the resealable opening imperceptible as shown in FIG. 1 and the dashed lines of FIG. 3.
FIG. 5 is an exploded view of one embodiment of the present disclosure and convertible hat 100. Here, the convertible hat 100 of may comprise a variety of eyelets or openings 150 adapted to receive a variety of attachments 152. The attachments 152 in question may be a hook, a tab, and/or a protrusion. Here, these attachments 152 can allow a user to attach personal belongings 200 on the convertible hat's surface as shown in FIGS. 12, 13 and 14. In other embodiments, the attachment 152 may be a buckle such that a user can connect the convertible hat 100 to a belt thanks to the buckle attachment.
In some embodiments as shown in FIGS. 16, 17, 18 and 19, a drawstring, cord, shoelace, chain, rope, string or equivalent 160 can be attached to either the eyelets 150 or attachment 152 or other parts of the convertible hat 100 thereby turning the convertible hat a wearable hat which can be worn along a person's shoulder, back or waist.
In some embodiments, the convertible hat 100 is reversible such that either the cap portion 110 or the liner 120 can be worn outwardly as an outer portion of the convertible hat. In some embodiments, the cap portion, liner or both can be made of a resilient and reinforced material or flexible and durable material. In a particular embodiment as shown in FIG. 6, the cap portion 110 and the liner 120 are coupled alongside a bottom outer edge of the convertible hat 117, and alongside a bottom outer edge of both the cap portion and the liner thereby allowing for a maximum storage compartment 130 within the convertible hat.
FIG. 6 also shows an embodiment of the convertible hat 100 which includes a sweat band 170 alongside the bottom outer edge of the convertible hat 100, the cap portion 110 and the liner 120.
While FIG. 5 shows the resealable opening 140 being a zipper, the resealable opening may be a hook and loop, a plurality of complementary magnets, and/or a plurality of complementary hooks and eyes or equivalent which allows a user to open and close the opening and have access to the storage compartment 130.
FIG. 6 shows a liner 120 which includes sewn taping 121 for additional structural integrity. 121 can be any material, fabric or metal reinforcement to further increase the convertible hat's structural integrity.
In one particular embodiment as shown in FIG. 6, the liner 120 further comprises an inner pocket 125 adapted to receive a user's belongings such as currency, bills, card and thin objects.
FIG. 8 also shows a reinforced strip 115 along said first band and said second band for structural integrity. Here, the convertible hat may also include a visor 180.
FIG. 14 shows a convertible hat 100 which also includes a pull tab 151 terminating in a magnet 151 and extending between the cap portion 110 and a top portion of the visor 180. Here, a user can secure a belonging between the visor and the cap portion and attach the belonging by connecting the pull tab magnet with a magnet located alongside the cap portion like the sunglasses shown in this FIG. 14. In other embodiment, the attachment and pull tab 151 can terminate in a hook and eye, or hook and loop, or the pull tab itself might be a circular pull tab attachable to a hook or attachment on the hat.
FIG. 15 shows a convertible hat 100 with a visor 180, where the visor includes an opening where the opening acts as a handle 182 rendering the convertible hat portable. FIG. 16 shows the handle 182 b as a openable and closeable flap 182 a that serves as a handle, whereas in other embodiment, the opening is clear and not closable.
In some embodiments as shown in FIG. 14, the convertible 100 includes a front tag 116 attached to a front end of the resealable opening 140. In other embodiments where the resealable opening 140 is hidden under 2 parallel bands, and attached to a front end of the first band 113 and the second band 114, further adapted to render the resealable opening 140 imperceptible. In other embodiments, the first band 113, the second band 114 and the resealable opening 140 are located alongside a diameter 117 of the cap portion.
In one embodiment, the convertible hat 100 includes a cap portion 110 which includes one or more panels 112 as shown in FIG. 4. The convertible hat also includes a liner 120 directly opposite the cap portion 112 where the liner 120 is coupled to the cap portion 110 alongside an outer edge of both the cap portion and the liner thereby forming a storage compartment 130. A resealable opening 140 allows access to the storage compartment 130. In some embodiments, the liner and cap portion are sewn together, whereas in other embodiments, they can be heat bonded.
In one particular embodiments, the resealable opening 140 is located alongside a diameter of the cap portion. In other embodiments the convertible hat has the cap portion 110 and the liner 120 coupled around the outer perimeter of the cap portion and liner portion thereby maximizing the storage compartment.
FIG. 3 shows a cap portion 110 including a first half portion and a second half portion where the first half portion and the second half portion are joined at a top of the cap portion and where the first half portion and the second half portion terminate in two reinforced bands forming an imperceptible gap wherein the resealable opening is located under the two reinforced bands. Here, the convertible hat 100 can also include a visor 180 and one or more eyelets 150 within either the cap portion 110 and/or the visor 180, and where the eyelets or opening 150 are adapted to receive one or more attachments 152 such that a user can secure a belonging 200 along a surface of the cap portion, a surface of the visor, or a surface of the cap portion and a surface of the visor portion.
As shown in FIG. 20, the convertible hat 100 includes a visor 180 and a cap cover 190 coupled to an outer periphery of the cap portion 110 and adapted to cover an entirety of the cap portion.
In some embodiments, the present disclosure is a method of using a convertible hat including the steps of locating a resealable opening within said convertible hat; opening said resealable opening and accessing a storage compartment; placing a user's belongings within said storage compartment; sealing the resealable opening; and wearing said convertible hat. In other embodiments, the method also includes the steps of securing a user's belonging on the surface of the convertible hat using at least one of an attachment, a hook, a closeable pull tab and a protrusion.
In one aspect, the present invention is embodied as a convertible hat which includes a cap portion with one or more panels, a liner directly opposite the cap portion and coupled the cap portion thereby forming a storage compartment. The convertible hat also includes a first band and a second band parallel to one another alongside a portion of the cap portion, and a resealable opening on the cap portion to allow access to the storage compartment where the resealable opening is located between and below the first band and the second band such that the resealable opening is imperceptible.
FIG. 5 shows a convertible hat 100 with one or more eyelets 151 adapted to receive a pull tab 151, an attachment 152 being a tooth, a hook, a tab and/or a protrusion such that a user can attach belongings 200 to the convertible hat in addition to storing belongings within the storage compartment. In some embodiments, the hat includes a drawstring attached to the eyelets or hat thereby rendering the convertible hat wearable along a person's shoulder, back or waist like a backpack.
In another embodiment, both the cap portion and the liner are made of a resilient material such that the convertible hat is reversible and such that either the cap portion or the liner can be worn as an outer and top portion of the convertible hat. In other embodiments, the liner is made of a resilient material to ensure that a user's belongings remain stable within the storage compartment and don't create a bulge inside the hat.
FIG. 6 shows a headwear where the cap portion 110 and said liner 120 are coupled alongside a peripheral bottom outer edge of the convertible hat, and alongside a peripheral bottom outer edge of both the cap portion and the liner thereby allowing for a maximum storage compartment within the convertible hat. In one embodiment, by having the liner and the cap portion only coupled along the outer peripheral edge and perimeter of both, a maximum storage compartment is created. In other embodiments, the liner and cap portion are sewn along a smaller portion thereby creating a smaller storage compartment.
In another embodiment, the convertible hat includes a sweatband 170 alongside the bottom outer edge of the convertible hat, the cap portion and the liner. Here, the sweatband serves as an absorption line for a user's sweat but also serves as a structural reinforcement of the coupling between the liner and cap portion along the outer periphery of the convertible hat.
In one embodiment, the convertible hat has a resealable opening which can be of a zipper, a hook and loop (Velcro®), a plurality of complementary magnets, and a plurality of complementary hooks and eyes. The complementary magnets, strips of hook and loop or hook and eyes are the resealable means of the resealable opening of the storage compartment.
In some embodiments, the convertible hat also includes sewn taping on the liner for additional structural integrity, while in other embodiments, the liner also includes a pocket adapted to receive a user's belongings such as currency, bills, card and thin objects. The convertible hat can also include a visor.
As shown in FIG. 14, the convertible hat can also include a pull tab 151 terminating in a magnet 151 a and extending between the cap portion and a top portion of the visor, such that a user can secure a belonging between the visor and the cap portion and attach the belonging by connecting the pull tab magnet with a magnet located alongside the cap portion. In some cases, magnets are within the bands, alongside the cap portion or can connect with a magnet on the opposite end of the pull tab. Here, the pull tab's other end can be accessed through the resealable opening of the storage compartment.
In one particular embodiment, the convertible hat has a visor which includes an opening, such that the opening is a handle making the convertible hat portable. In other embodiments, the hat also includes a front tag coupled to a front end of the first band and the second band, further adapted to render the resealable opening imperceptible.
In an alternative embodiment, the convertible hat includes a resealable opening located alongside a diameter of the cap portion and between the first band, said second band which are also along a diameter of the hat.
In another embodiment, the convertible hat includes a cap portion with one or more panels, a liner directly opposite the cap portion where the liner is coupled to the cap portion alongside an outer edge of both the cap portion and the liner form a storage compartment, a resealable opening alongside a diameter of the cap portion and such that the resealable opening is imperceptible; and a visor.
In some embodiments, the cap portion includes a first half portion and a second half portion where the first half portion and the second half portion are joined at a top of the cap portion and where the first half portion and the second half portion terminate in two resilient flaps and bands forming an imperceptible gap wherein the resealable opening is located under the two resilient flaps. In one embodiments, this convertible hat includes one or more eyelets within either the cap portion, the visor portion, and/or both the cap and visor sections. They eyelets can receive one or more attachments such that a user can secure a belonging along a surface of the cap portion, a surface of the visor, or a surface of the cap portion and a surface of the visor portion.
In accordance with one form of this disclosure, there is provided a method for using a convertible hat including the steps of locating a resealable opening within the convertible hat, opening the resealable opening and accessing a storage compartment; placing a user's belongings within the storage compartment; sealing the resealable opening; and wearing said convertible hat. The method can also include the steps of securing a user's belonging on the surface of the convertible hat using an attachment, a hook, a closeable pull tab and/or a protrusion.
In some embodiments, the first band and second band 114 and 115 are flaps covering the resealable opening 140.
In some embodiments, the resealable opening 140 on the cap portion 110 to allow access to the storage compartment 130 can be a zipper, a hook and loop, Velcro®, magnets, and/or decorative element alongside the zipper so that the opening is imperceptible or equivalent. In one embodiment, the first and second parallel band are raised with a resealable opening in between and slightly below the bands. Here, designs along the zipper can render the opening imperceptible. The addition of a front tab 116 can also help hide the zipper or resealable opening.
In some embodiments, the cap portion 110 may include one or more panels 112. The cap portion can also be made of reinforced material for structural integrity, resilient material, waterproof material, recycled and/or moisture wicking material.
In some embodiments, the cap portion and liner are reversible such that either one can face outwardly when worn or used as a hat. In other embodiments, the resealable opening can be located on either the cap portion or the liner. Other embodiments include reinforcing tape or reinforcing strips coupled to either the cap portion and/or the liner.
In some embodiments, the liner coupled to the cap portion can be attached alongside a perimeter for maximum storage compartment. The attachment between the cap portion and the liner can be reinforced with taping for additional structural integrity, or a sweatband 170.
In some embodiments, the liner is made of strong reinforced material so it can act as a cap or liner and where the hat is reversible. In other cases, the hat is reversible even when the material forming either the liner or cap portion is not resilient and reinforced. In some embodiments, an 8 shaped flexible wire can be included inside the storage compartment to help include more belongings within the storage compartment.
In some embodiments, the cap portion and/or liner may include tape for reinforcement, metal strips, reinforcing strips or other for pull tab attachment and additional structural integrity.
In other embodiments as shown in FIGS. 16 through 19, the convertible hat can further include strings to carry the hat, drawstrings to render the convertible hat 100 a backpack, a cord, a shoelace flat, a cord attachment to render the hat portable and wearable around a person's body.
In one embodiment, the convertible hat 100 includes additional pockets 125 on the liner and opening for additional storage. In other embodiments, the convertible hat 100 includes a 3 layered hat with a cap cover 190 as shown in FIG. 20. Here the cap cover 190 is attached to the cap portion and includes a zipper or equivalent to access to the actual hat. The attachment of the cap cover 190 and cap portion 110 can be along the perimeter of the hat.
As mentioned above, other embodiments and configurations may be devised without departing from the spirit of the invention and the scope of the appended claims.

Claims

1. A convertible hat comprising:

a) a cap portion comprising one or more panels;

b) a liner directly opposite said cap portion wherein said liner is coupled to said cap portion thereby forming a storage compartment;

c) a first band and a second band parallel said first band located alongside a portion of said cap portion; and

d) a resealable opening on the cap portion to allow access to the storage compartment wherein the resealable opening is located between and below the first band and the second band such that the resealable opening is imperceptible.

2. The convertible hat of claim 1 further comprising one or more eyelets adapted to receive at least one of a pull tab, a hook, a tab, a buckle and a protrusion adapted to attach an external object to the convertible hat.

3. The convertible hat of claim 2 further comprising a drawstring attached to the one or more eyelets thereby rendering the convertible hat wearable along a person's shoulder, back or waist.

4. The convertible hat of claim 1 wherein the convertible hat is reversible such that either the cap portion or the liner can be worn outwardly as an outer portion of the convertible hat.

5. The convertible hat of claim 1 wherein said cap portion and said liner are coupled alongside a bottom outer edge of the convertible hat, and alongside the bottom outer edge of both the cap portion and the liner thereby allowing for a maximum storage compartment within the convertible hat.

6. The convertible hat of claim 5 further comprising a sweat band alongside the bottom outer edge of the convertible hat, the cap portion and the liner.

7. The convertible hat of claim 1 wherein the resealable opening is at least one of a zipper, a hook and loop, a plurality of complementary magnets, and a plurality of complementary hooks and eyes.

8. The convertible hat of claim 1 wherein the liner further comprises sewn taping for additional structural integrity.

9. The convertible hat of claim 1 wherein the liner further comprises an inner pocket adapted to receive a user's belongings such as currency, bills, card and thin objects.

10. The convertible hat of claim 1 further comprising a reinforced strip along said first band and said second band for structural integrity.

11. The convertible hat of claim 1 further comprising a visor and a pull tab terminating in a magnet and extending between said cap portion and a top portion of the visor, wherein a user can secure a belonging between the visor and the cap portion and attach said belonging by connecting the pull tab magnet with the magnet located alongside the cap portion.

12. The convertible hat of claim 1 further comprising a visor wherein the visor further includes an opening such that the opening is a handle rendering the convertible hat portable.

13. The convertible hat of claim 1 comprising a front tag coupled to a front end of the first band and the second band, further adapted to render the resealable opening imperceptible.

14. The convertible hat of claim 1 wherein said first band, said second band and the resealable opening are located alongside a diameter of the cap portion.

15. A convertible hat comprising:

a) a cap portion comprising one or more panels;

b) a liner directly opposite said cap portion wherein said liner is coupled to said cap portion alongside an outer edge of both the cap portion and the liner thereby forming a storage compartment; and

c) a resealable opening allowing access to the storage compartment.

16. The convertible hat of claim 15 wherein said resealable opening is located alongside a diameter of the cap portion.

17. The convertible hat of claim 15 wherein the cap portion and the liner are coupled around an outer perimeter of the cap portion and liner portion thereby maximizing the storage compartment.

18. The convertible hat of claim 15 wherein said cap portion includes a first half portion and a second half portion wherein the first half portion and the second half portion are joined at a top of the cap portion and wherein the first half portion and the second half portion terminate in two reinforced bands forming an imperceptible gap wherein the resealable opening is located under the two reinforced bands.

19. The convertible hat of claim 15 further comprising:

a) a visor; and

b) one or more eyelets within at least one of the cap portion and the visor portion, wherein the eyelets are adapted to receive one or more attachments such that a user can secure a belonging along a surface of the cap portion, a surface of the visor, or a surface of the cap portion and a surface of the visor portion.

20. The convertible hat of claim 15 further comprising:

a) a visor; and

b) a cap cover coupled to an outer periphery of the cap portion and adapted to cover an entirety of the cap portion.
