Abstract

A portable personal care system facilitates the carrying of lip balm, cosmetics or other topical substances. The system allows for a these objects to be inserted in a body and held in place while the user participates in physical activities such as exorcise or other situations where care and attention are needed to ensure the items remain with the user.

Description

    BACKGROUND 1. Field of the Invention
  • The present invention relates generally to toiletry casing devices, and more specifically, to a portable personal care system for transporting a topical treatment, cosmetic cream, paste, or the like without the need to carry a purse or handbag.
  • 2. Description of Related Art
  • Toiletry casing devices are well known in the art and are effective means to store, organize and items used for personal grooming. For example, FIG. 1 depicts a conventional handbag device 101 having a container 103 with handles 105 attached. During use, items 107 such as lip balm, a phone, keys, etc. are placed in the pouch 107 for transport and later use.
  • One of the problems commonly associated with system 101 is limited use. For example, when exercising the handbag 101 is difficult to carry because of its weight and size.
  • Accordingly, although great strides have been made in the area of handbag devices, many shortcomings remain.
  • DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • The novel features believed characteristic of the embodiments of the present application are set forth in the appended claims. However, the embodiments themselves, as well as a preferred mode of use, and further objectives and advantages thereof, will best be understood by reference to the following detailed description when read in conjunction with the accompanying drawings, wherein:
  • FIG. 1 is a cross-sectional side view of a common handbag device;
  • FIGS. 2A and 2B are side views of a portable personal care system in accordance with a preferred embodiment of the present application;
  • FIG. 3 is a cross-sectional side view of the holder of FIGS. 2A and 2B;
  • FIG. 4 is an alternative embodiment of the system of FIGS. 2A and 2B; and
  • FIG. 5 is a flowchart of the preferred method of use of the system of FIGS. 2A and 2B.
  • While the system and method of use of the present application is susceptible to various modifications and alternative forms, specific embodiments thereof have been shown by way of example in the drawings and are herein described in detail. It should be understood, however, that the description herein of specific embodiments is not intended to limit the invention to the particular embodiment disclosed, but on the contrary, the intention is to cover all modifications, equivalents, and alternatives falling within the spirit and scope of the present application as defined by the appended claims.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
  • Illustrative embodiments of the system and method of use of the present application are provided below. It will of course be appreciated that in the development of any actual embodiment, numerous implementation-specific decisions will be made to achieve the developer's specific goals, such as compliance with system-related and business-related constraints, which will vary from one implementation to another. Moreover, it will be appreciated that such a development effort might be complex and time-consuming, but would nevertheless be a routine undertaking for those of ordinary skill in the art having the benefit of this disclosure.
  • The system and method of use in accordance with the present application overcomes one or more of the above-discussed problems commonly associated with conventional filtration systems. Specifically, the system of the present invention enable the transport and use of a toiletry item during exercise or other situations where a handbag is not practical. This and other unique features of the system and method of use are discussed below and illustrated in the accompanying drawings.
  • The system and method of use will be understood, both as to its structure and operation, from the accompanying drawings, taken in conjunction with the accompanying description. Several embodiments of the system are presented herein. It should be understood that various components, parts, and features of the different embodiments may be combined together and/or interchanged with one another, all of which are within the scope of the present application, even though not all variations and particular embodiments are shown in the drawings. It should also be understood that the mixing and matching of features, elements, and/or functions between various embodiments is expressly contemplated herein so that one of ordinary skill in the art would appreciate from this disclosure that the features, elements, and/or functions of one embodiment may be incorporated into another embodiment as appropriate, unless described otherwise.
  • The preferred embodiment herein described is not intended to be exhaustive or to limit the invention to the precise form disclosed. It is chosen and described to explain the principles of the invention and its application and practical use to enable others skilled in the art to follow its teachings.
  • Referring now to the drawings wherein like reference characters identify corresponding or similar elements throughout the several views, FIGS. 2A and 2B depict a side views of a portable personal care system in accordance with a preferred embodiment of the present application. It will be appreciated that system 201 overcomes one of more of the above-listed problems commonly associated with conventional handbag devices.
  • In the contemplated embodiment, system 201 includes a body 203 open at a first end 205 and a second end 207. The body 203 configured to restrict around a tubular object 209. The body being attached to a securing device 211.
  • In use as, a tubular object 209 is inserted in the first end 205 and the body constricts to grasps the object 215. A second object 213 is inserted in the second end 207 and the body 203 constricts to grasp it. The system 201 is secured to a user or piece of equipment such as a bike, pole or the like and the user carries the system 201 with them.
  • It should be appreciated that one of the unique features believed characteristic of the present application is that securing device 211 facilitates the transport of toiletry items during physical activities or where carrying a bag is not convenient.
  • It will be appreciated that body 203 is configured to hold objects 209, 213 as depicted in FIG. 3. It will be understood that body 203 encloses a space 301 accessible via ends 205, 207. It is contemplated that body 203 also secures a lid 303 of object 209 so that when an applicator 305 of object 209 is removed lid 303 remains motionless with respect to body 203.
  • Referring now to FIG. 4 an alternative embodiment of the system 201 of FIGS. 2A and 2B is depicted. Embodiment 401 including a body 403 having a first end 405 radially larger than a second end 407. It will be appreciated that body 403 enables the storage of different sized objects 209, 213 and that an object could be inserted until the body 403 constricts to secure it in place.
  • It is contemplated and will be appreciated that the method of use depicted in FIG. 5 is exemplary of the intended use of the system 201. The method 501 including inserting a first object in a first opening of the body until secured by the constriction of the body 503, inserting a second object in a similar fashion 505, attaching the system to a part of the body of a user or piece of equipment 507, performing and activity without manually restraining the system 509 and using the treatment of either of the objects 511.
  • The particular embodiments disclosed above are illustrative only, as the embodiments may be modified and practiced in different but equivalent manners apparent to those skilled in the art having the benefit of the teachings herein. It is therefore evident that the particular embodiments disclosed above may be altered or modified, and all such variations are considered within the scope and spirit of the application. Accordingly, the protection sought herein is as set forth in the description. Although the present embodiments are shown above, they are not limited to just these embodiments, but are amenable to various changes and modifications without departing from the spirit thereof.

Claims (4)

What is claimed:
1. A portable personal care system comprising:
a body enclosing a space open at a first and second end; and
a securing device attached to the body;
wherein a first object is inserted in an open until the body constricts to secure the object with respect to the body;
wherein the system is attached to a user or piece of equipment via the securing device; and
wherein the objects are toiletries.
2. The system of claim 1 wherein the body and space are cylindrical;
3. The system of claim 1 where the first end and second end are not the same size.
4. A method of transporting personal care items given the system of claim 1, comprising:
inserting a first object in a first opening of the body until secured by the constriction of the body;
inserting a second object in a similar fashion;
attaching the system to a part of the body of a user or piece of equipment;
performing and activity without manually restraining the system; and
using the treatment of either of the objects.
