- The disclosure and prior art relates to takeout bag devices and more particularly pertains to a new takeout bag device combining a food takeout bag with a napkin.
- An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a bag for containing takeout food. A napkin is removably coupled to the bag for wiping a user's face and hands when eating the takeout food. The napkin is comprised of a fluid absorbent material and each of the napkin and bag may be disposed of when the takeout food is consumed.
- There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
- The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.
- The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:
-
FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a food takeout bag assembly according to an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 2 is a right side view of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 3 is an exploded perspective view of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 4 is a front view of an embodiment of the disclosure. - With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to
FIGS. 1 through 4 thereof, a new takeout bag device embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by thereference numeral 10 will be described. - As best illustrated in
FIGS. 1 through 4 , the foodtakeout bag assembly 10 generally comprises abag 12 for containing takeout food. The takeout food may be fast food such as is produced and sold by McDonalds, Burger King or other similar fast food restaurants, or takeout food prepared in a sit-down restaurant. Thebag 12 has abottom wall 14 and anouter wall 16 extending upwardly therefrom, and theouter wall 16 has adistal edge 18 with respect to thebottom wall 14. Thebag 12 may be comprised of paper or other deformable material commonly used in fast food restaurants. Alogo 19 may be printed on theouter wall 16 of thebag 12 and thelogo 19 may comprise a logo of a fast food restaurant or the like. - A
napkin 20 is removably coupled to thebag 12 and thenapkin 20 can be removed from thebag 12 for wiping a user's face and hands when eating the takeout food. Thenapkin 20 has atop edge 21 andbottom edge 22 and thebottom edge 22 is releasably attached to thedistal edge 18 of thebag 12 to define aconnection line 24 between thenapkin 20 and thebag 12. Theconnection line 24 extends around an entire perimeter of thedistal edge 18 of thebag 12 and thebottom edge 22 of thenapkin 20. Moreover, theconnection line 24 comprises a plurality offirst perforations 26. Thefirst perforations 26 can be torn by the user for removing thenapkin 20 from thebag 12. - The
napkin 20 is comprised of a fluid absorbent material. Additionally, thebottom edge 22 of thenapkin 20 is coextensive with thedistal edge 18 of thebag 12 thereby facilitating thenapkin 20 to define an upper portion of thebag 12. In this way thenapkin 20 serves the dual purpose of increasing the storage capacity of thebag 12 and facilitating the user to have access to anapkin 20 without requiring a napkin to be placed in thebag 12 by a server at the restaurant. Moreover, the user does not have to grab napkins when leaving with the takeout food. Thenapkin 20 has a plurality ofdivisions 28 each extending downwardly between thetop edge 21 and thebottom edge 22. Thedivisions 28 are spaced apart from each other and are distributed around thenapkin 20 to define a plurality ofsections 30 of thenapkin 20. Each of thedivisions 28 comprises a plurality ofsecond perforations 32 that can each be torn by the user for using each of thesections 30 of thenapkin 20 for wiping. The bag may be manufactured in a variety of sizes, with a height of approximately 11.0 inches and a width ranging between approximately 5.5 inches and 11.0 inches. - In use, the takeout food is positioned in the
bag 12 by a server when the user orders the takeout food. Thus, the user can carry the takeout food in the traditional convention of carrying takeout food. Thenapkin 20 can be torn from thebag 12 at any time that the user wants to use thenapkin 20. In this way the server does not have to remember to place napkins in thetakeout bag 12 and the user does not have to remember to grab napkins when leaving the restaurant. Additionally, each of thesections 30 of thenapkin 20 can be individually removed for wiping or the like. Each of thebag 12 and thenapkin 20 can be disposed of when the takeout food has been consumed. - With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
- Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
