Description
- The present invention relates to luggage technology and more particularly, to a vertical double-deck luggage made of fabric and can be towed while walking and can also be opened when it is held in vertical.
- One of the most common luggage configurations today, such as shown in U.S. Patent Publication No. U.S. Pat. No. 8,636,123 and Publication No. US20120247898, is the use of a flexible outer fabric cover with a frame mounted within the flexible outer fabric cover. The frame supports the flexible outer fabric cover in shape, forming a rectangular hollow box body. Further, two or four wheel assemblies are provided at the bottom side of the box body. Further, a rectangular handle is provided at the back panel of the box body so that the user can drag the luggage. Further, front side of the aforesaid luggage design is an opening. Further, a front cover is connected with its one lateral side to one lateral side of the opening of the front side of the luggage so that the front cover can close the opening.
- However, since the front side of the aforesaid prior art luggage design is an opening, the luggage must be placed on the floor in horizontal before opening the front cover. Therefore, when the user goes out and wishes to temporarily put personal items in the luggage or to take a storage item out the luggage, it will cause a lot of trouble, for example, unable to find a right place to lay the luggage, or all storage personal items will be exposed to the outside when opens the front cover. Further, the user may need to bring a suit for a business trip or for use in certain situations. However, the aforesaid prior art luggage design must be laid down in horizontal so that the user can put the suit bag in the luggage or take the suit bag out of the luggage, leading to storing and removing inconvenience. Therefore, it is desirable to provide a luggage that eliminates the aforesaid problems.
- The present invention has been accomplished under the circumstances in view. It is the main object of the present invention to provide a vertical double-deck luggage, which comprises a luggage body that comprises an upper accommodation chamber and a lower accommodation chamber defined therein at different elevations, an upper opening and a lower opening located on a front panel thereof and respectively disposed in communication with the upper accommodation chamber and the lower accommodation chamber, a flip-down luggage cover with a bottom side thereof connected to the bottom side of the upper opening and the other sides thereof detachably fastenable to the other sides of the upper opening by a zipper, and a side-opening luggage cover with one lateral side thereof connected to one lateral side of the lower opening and the other sides thereof detachably fastenable to the other sides of the lower opening by a zipper. Thus, when the vertical double-deck luggage stands still, the user can conveniently open the flip-down luggage cover to access to the upper accommodation chamber for storing personal items and taking storage personal items.
- According to another aspect of the present invention, the vertical double-deck luggage further comprises a tri-fold board stitched to a bottom edge of the flip-down luggage cover and fixedly mounted in the fabric luggage body to separate the upper accommodation chamber and the lower accommodation chamber.
- According to still another aspect of the present invention, the fabric luggage body further comprises an arched flap connected between the top panel and the front panel. Further, the upper opening is a substantially rectangular opening extending upwardly from the front panel to the arched flap. Further, the flip-down luggage cover is substantially a rectangular fabric cover fitting the configuration of the upper opening, comprising an arched surface portion configured to match the arched flap. Thus, when the user downwardly opens the flip-down luggage cover, the user can see the inside of the upper accommodation chamber from the top side of arched flap, facilitating storing personal items or taking out storage personal items while keeping the luggage in vertical.
- According to still another aspect of the present invention, two net bags are respectively arranged on the inner side of the flip-down luggage cover and the inner side of the side-opening luggage cover. Each net bag defines therein mezzanine space for storing small items.
- According to still another aspect of the present invention, two rectangular storage boxes detachably mounted in the lower accommodation chamber and abutted against each other side by side for storing classified items.
- Other advantages and features of the present invention will be fully understood by reference to the following specification in junction with the accompanying drawings, in which like reference signs denote like components of structure.
-
