- A portion of the disclosure of this patent document contains material which is subject to copyright protection. - The invention relates to a snowboard backpack, and more particularly, to a snow backpack that is easily accessed and packed, easy to carry, and multi-functional.
- Many outdoor sports lovers longing for healthy and exciting activities are fascinated with snowboarding because it makes people adrenaline pump in the falling snow, and gives people truly experience what a snowboarding has to offer. Especially, the beautiful scenery of the place can be fully appreciated. Also, filming the moment of snowboarding is an important part of the event. Unfortunately, besides the heavy snowboard, there are a lot of articles that a snowboarder may have to carry with. For example, those who love filming will also bring their cell phones, cameras, and other camera accessories. In addition, power banks or extra batteries could also be necessary for short battery life in the cold weather. These devices take up space in the pants and snow jacket pockets and they are not easy to access therein. Moreover, a snowboarder may have to carry other essential articles like dollar notes, coins, room key cards, energy snacks, hand warmers, snowboards, even a helmet and gloves, and more, which are useful but miscellaneous. Therefore, snowboarders need a total solution to pack, organize, and carry their belongings.
- Nevertheless, some conventional snowboarding backpacks are usually huge, while others are small but not easy to carry with during snowboarding. As a result, sometimes people have to carry their snowboards in hand. For example, from the B&B to the ski places, to the gondola lift, by bus or driving, they will have to carry the snowboard for quite a long time. Not to mention a female snowboarder, it is suffering for an average girl with her luggage. Thus, a snowboard backpack with suitable size that frees people's hands can be a total solution for the above issues. Accordingly, a backpack designed for packing and organizing a snowboard, its accessories, as well as other small articles has become a big issue to be solved.
- As mentioned above, conventional snowboard backpacks available in the market usually have the following problems:
- I. Some are rigid but difficult to carry.
- II. Some are good to carry but the snowboard is carried in an upright manner that can hit the snowboarder's calves.
- III. Some are made for easy carry but do not have spare space or pocket for any other articles.
- IV. Some of the backpacks are not easy to carry or to pack after unloading the snowboard.
- V. A snowboard-specific backpack is usually huge, which can be a burden for people who are not going to back country snowboarding.
- VI. A snowboard carry system is mounted with the snowboard. A snowboarder needs to dismount the back before unloading the snowboard.
- VII. It is difficult to access items in the two-strap bags. Some even have a side zipper. All in all, they are not quite so handy in the snow place for snowboarders putting on a snow jacket.
- Hence, how to solve the above problems has a common aspiration for snowboarding lovers and manufacturer.
-
FIG. 1 is a general snowboard carrying system made for a sole purpose of carrying a snowboard. Such conventional product usually has straps that fasten the snowboard in an upright manner rendering the snowboard hits the snowboarder's calves easily. On top of it, it is not possible to store other items, and those items can become a burden when snowboarding. - To deal with the issues mentioned above, the inventor has collected relative information and conduct a careful evaluation. With hands on experience and years of industry knowledge, the inventor has designed and implemented several prototypes so as to come out with the present invention.
- According to the present invention, the snowboard-specific backpack includes a backpack with at least a storage pouch arranged therein, an under storage having a first hook and loop fastener provided thereon, and an upper storage having a second hook and loop fastener provided thereon, so as to allow the under storage and the upper storage to overlappingly and movably secure a snowboard therebetween through movably attaching the first hook and loop fastener with the second hook and loop fastener.
- The backpack has one piece strap on the side thereof. The strap has a wide end and a narrow end. On the side of the under storage there is a side release buckle. The backpack can have more than one extra pouches if necessary. The backpack can have a top mount strap, and a side strap. The backpack can have more than one zipper for the storage if necessary. The backpack has more than one side release buckles, including a female buckle and male buckle to fasten the snowboard between the under storage and the upper storage. The storage pouch can have more than one insulated bag which is made of tinfoil, serving as storage.
- In sum, the present invention has many advantages and is able to provide a total solution for the above issues comparing with conventional technology.
-
FIG. 1 is PRIOR ART showing a conventional snowboard backpack. -
FIG. 2 illustrated a way that the snowboard-specific backpack according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention is turned from a front carrying mode into a back carrying mode. -
FIG. 3 illustrated a way to wrap and mount a snowboard on the snowboard-specific backpack according to the above preferred embodiment of the present invention. -
FIG. 4 illustrated the side buckles and the extra pouch of the snowboard-specific backpack according to the above preferred embodiment of the present invention. -
FIG. 5 illustrated detailed views of the snowboard-specific backpack and a partially enlarged view of the male and female buckles of the snowboard-specific backpack according to the above preferred embodiment of the present invention. -
FIG. 6 is a perspective view illustrated the storage pouch with an insulated bag of the snowboard-specific backpack according to the above preferred embodiment of the present invention. - Referring to
