Description

    FIELD OF THE INVENTION
  • This invention relates to carries cases and bags, and more particularly relates to baby travel bag having several pockets and compartments for organizing and accessibility.
  • BACKGROUND Description of the Related Art
  • Simple baby travel bags are well-known in the art. It is an object of the present invention to provide a multifunction baby travel bag suitable for carrying diapers, sanitary product and other baby accessories, which bag includes compartments and pockets needed for accessibility. Other objects will in part be obvious and will in part appear hereinafter.
  • Mothers and baby caretakers typically must haul many items for care of babies and infants when traveling even briefly from home. Typically, these items are jumbled loosely in one or more carrying bags, including clothing, diapers, blankets, food, milk, bottles, toys, bibs, lotions, powders and other items.
  • Many of these items are misplaced or forgotten because of the unorganized manner in which they are assembled and ported. It is difficult to easily locate any particular item jumbled together with the others in the travel bag, particularly in exigent circumstances often facing mothers, including crying babies, babies needing changing, and the like.
  • Accordingly, a baby travel bag is desirable which provides ample compartment and storage for the numerous assorted items needed when traveling with babies and infants.
  • SUMMARY
  • From the foregoing discussion, it should be apparent that a need exists for a multifunction travel bag. Beneficially, such a device would overcome inefficiencies with the prior art by providing a baby travel bag with easily accessible essential accessories.
  • The present invention has been developed in response to the present state of the art, and in particular, in response to the problems and needs in the art that have not yet been fully solved by currently available apparti. Accordingly, the present invention has been developed to provide a baby travel bag comprising: a front panel and a back panel forming a receptacle for porting baby accessories forming an open top end, wherein the back panel forms an open rectangular recess for facilitating access to sanitary wipes housed within an interior pocket; a flap affixed along an upper edge to the back panel hanging over the open rectangular recess, wherein the flap detachably affixes along a lower edge to the back panel using one of magnets and Velcro®; a flap affixed along an upper edge to the back panel hanging over the open rectangular recess, wherein the flap detachably affixes along a lower edge to the back panel using one of magnets and Velcro®; an interior, resealable polymeric watertight pocket adhered to an interior surface of the travel bag; and two or more interior pockets having open top ends for receiving baby accessories.
  • The flap and back panel may be formed as a single integrated piece. The travel bag may further comprise two or more D-rings for detachably affixing to a shoulder strap. The travel bag may further comprise two or more D-rings for detachably affixing to a shoulder strap.
  • The travel bag, in some embodiments, may further comprise a zipper for zipping closed the open top end. The travel bag may further comprise a wrist strap affixed at one end to the travel bag using one or more snaps.
  • The interior polymeric pocket may be adapted to house a removable folded baby changing mat. The baby accessories may comprise one or more of a bottle, a cellular phone, a folded mat, diapers, sanitary wipes, snacks, keys and toys.
  • The travel bag may further comprise a ribbon key hang having two snaps.
  • A second baby travel bag is provided comprising: a front panel and a back panel forming a receptacle for porting baby accessories forming an open top end, wherein the back panel forms an open rectangular recess for facilitating access to sanitary wipes housed within an interior pocket; a flap affixed along an upper edge to the back panel hanging over the open rectangular recess, wherein the flap detachably affixes along a lower edge to the back panel using one of magnets and Velcro®; a flap affixed along an upper edge to the back panel hanging over the open rectangular recess, wherein the flap detachably affixes along a lower edge to the back panel using one of magnets and Velcro®; an interior, resealable polymeric watertight pocket adhered to an interior surface of the travel bag; two or more interior pockets having open top ends for receiving baby accessories; a ribbon key hang having two snaps; and a zipper for zipping closed the open top end.
