Description
- The present invention relates generally to the field of hygienic toilet seat cover devices and more specifically relates to a wearable, disposable, hygienic toilet seat barrier device comprising a U-shaped barrier with leg straps and an adhesive back patch. The barrier may have padding located on the inner side along with a non-porous perimeter. Two straps on each leg that fasten on the upper thigh as well as an adhesive back patch may secure the device to a user comfortably and securely. The device may be useful as a germ protection barrier that may protect the skin of a user from contamination while sitting on a toilet.
- A toilet seat is a hinged unit consisting of a round or oval open seat, and usually a lid, which is bolted onto the bowl of a toilet used in a sitting position (as opposed to a squat toilet). The seat can be either for a flush toilet or a dry toilet. A toilet seat consists of the seat itself, which may be contoured for the user to sit on, and the lid, which covers the toilet when it is not in use—the lid may be absent in some cases, particularly in public restrooms. When the lid is down, it can be used as a seat.
- A toilet seat cover or toilet sheet is a disposable piece of paper shaped like the toilet seat itself that can be placed on the seat by its user. Its purpose is to protect the toilet's user from germs that may be resting on the seat by creating a protective barrier. Unfortunately, toilet seat covers do not always stay in place on a toilet seat and have unwanted displacement. Therefore, a need exists for a toilet seat cover that provides a secure barrier between the skin of the user and the toilet seat to prevent direct contact with a toilet seat when used by the public.
- Various attempts have been made to solve problems found in toilet seat cover devices art. Among these are found in: U.S. Pat. No. 5,774,890 to Saroj Shah; U.S. Pat. No. 5,953,764 to Hsi Huang Lin; and U.S. Publication No. 2006/0123530 to Garey Smith. This prior art is representative of hygienic toilet seat cover devices. A need exists for a reliable Disposable Toilet Seat Cover with Leg Straps and an Adhesive Back Patch to avoid the above-mentioned problems.
- In view of the foregoing disadvantages inherent in the known art, the present invention provides a novel a Disposable Toilet Seat Cover with Leg Straps and an Adhesive Back Patch. The general purpose of the present invention, which will be described subsequently in greater detail, is to provide a secure, wearable, disposable, hygienic toilet seat barrier device comprising a U-shaped barrier with straps. The barrier may have padding located on the inner side along with a non-porous perimeter. The leg straps and adhesive back patch may secure the device to a user comfortably. The device may be useful as a germ protection barrier that may protect the skin of a user from contamination while sitting on a toilet. The features of the invention which are believed to be novel are particularly pointed out and distinctly claimed in the concluding portion of the specification. These and other features, aspects, and advantages of the present invention will become better understood with reference to the following drawings and detailed description.
- The FIGURES which accompany the written portion of this specification illustrate embodiments and method(s) of use for the present invention, a Disposable Toilet Seat Cover with Leg Straps and an Adhesive Back Patch, constructed and operative according to the teachings of the present invention.
-
FIGS. 1-4 shows a perspective view illustrating the Disposable Toilet Seat Cover with Leg Straps and an Adhesive Back Patch according to an embodiment of the present invention. - The various embodiments of the present invention will hereinafter be described in conjunction with the appended drawings.
- As discussed above, embodiments of the present invention relate to a hygienic toilet seat cover device and more particularly to the Disposable Toilet Seat Cover with Leg Straps and an Adhesive Back Patch.
- Referring now to the drawings
FIGS. 1-4 , the Disposable Toilet Seat Cover with Leg Straps and an Adhesive Back Patch is disclosed herein in a preferred embodiment comprising a secure, wearable, disposable hygienic toilet seat barrier device comprising a U-shaped barrier with straps and an adhesive back patch. The barrier may have padding located on the inner side along with a non-porous perimeter. Two straps on each leg, fastened on each upper thigh and an adhesive back patch applied to one's back, prior to sitting on a toilet seat may secure the device to a user comfortably and serves as a germ protection barrier that may protect the skin of a user from contamination while sitting on a toilet. The present invention can be easily removed by pealing of the adhesive back patch, unstrapping the leg straps for the toilet cover to fall off freely and ready for disposal. The present invention is manufactured from recyclable and/or biodegradable as well as disposable materials. - The embodiments of the invention described herein are exemplary and numerous modifications, variations and rearrangements can be readily envisioned to achieve substantially equivalent results, all of which are intended to be embraced within the spirit and scope of the invention. Further, the purpose of the foregoing abstract is to enable the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and the public generally, and especially the scientist, engineers and practitioners in the art who are not familiar with patent or legal terms or phraseology, to determine quickly from a cursory inspection the nature and essence of the technical disclosure of the application.
