Abstract
Device for centerless round grinding of round, cylindrical work pieces, having a grinding wheel with an axis of rotation, a regulation wheel for pressing of the work piece against the grinding wheel with an axis of rotation, a workrest blade for putting on the work piece and/or a truing device for the grinding wheel and/or a truing device for the regulation wheel, arranged in such a way on a machine bed, in particular in an assembly surface inclined in the space, that the grinding wheel and the regulation wheel and the workrest blade touch the work piece at the moment of grinding,
- whereas the work piece is arranged in a grinding gap being formed by the adjoining regulation wheel, grinding wheel and workrest blade,
- whereas the grinding wheel and/or the regulation wheel and/or the truing device for the grinding wheel and/or the truing device for the regulation wheel respectively are arranged on a hydraulic and/or electromotive driven carriage,
- which is at least longitudinally adjustable along a longitudinal motion axis.
Description
- The invention is related to device for centerless round grinding of round, cylindrical work pieces, according to the general term of claim 1 and a method fur the use of one of the devices according to one of the claims 1 to 9, according to the general term of claim 10.
- Devices for centerless round grinding are known, where for different work pieces different machines have to be provided, which means that a big machine park has to be maintained.
- Object of the present invention it is to provide a device for centerless round grinding, that facilitate a simple, safe and low-maintenance operation.
- The problem is solved by a device for centerless round grinding of round, cylindrical work pieces, having a grinding wheel with an axis of rotation, a regulation wheel for pressing of the work piece against the grinding wheel with an axis of rotation, a workrest blade for putting on the work piece and/or a truing device for the grinding wheel and/or a truing device for the regulation wheel, in such a way arranged on a machine bed, in particular in an assembly surface inclined in the space, that the grinding wheel and the regulation wheel and the workrest blade touch the work piece at the moment of grinding, whereas the work piece is arranged in a grinding gap being formed by the adjoining regulation wheel, grinding wheel and workrest blade, whereas the grinding wheel and/or the regulation wheel and/or the truing device for the grinding wheel and/or the truing device for the regulation wheel respectively are arranged on a hydraulic and/or electromotive driven carriage, which is at least longitudinally adjustable along a longitudinal motion axis, where the longitudinal motion axis of the carriage of the grinding wheel and/or the longitudinal motion axis of the carriage of the regulation wheel and/or the longitudinal motion axis or the carriage of the truing device for the regulation wheel and/or the longitudinal motion axis of the carriage of the truing device for the grinding wheel is adjustable within the meaning of a rotational movement around a rotation axis of the longitudinal motion axis of the carriage of the grinding wheel and/or the rotation axis of the longitudinal motion axis of the carriage of the grinding wheel and/or the rotation axis of the longitudinal motion axis of the carriage of the truing device for the regulation wheel and/or the rotational axis of the longitudinal motion axis of the carriage of the truing device of the grinding wheel are arranged.
- The device is suitable for work pieces with rotationally symmetric longitudinal axis, that are arranged on a workrest blade and driven controlled by a regulation wheel with parallel or in space inclined rotational axis as well as machined by the grinding wheel with adjusted rotation axis, especially inclined. In the meaning of the invention carriage systems with traversing motion, which are individually adjustable for the respective work pieces and machining processes, are especially meant for the introduction of a forward movement for the machining, for the opening of a grinding gap for the loading and unloading, and for the configuring of the geometrie and precision. The carriage systems of the regulating wheel and the grinding wheel for example are able to be adjusted around a rotation axis respectively, that angles are formed respective to each other that in turn allows an angle to the work piece longitudinal axis. For the truing and profiling of abrasive grindings wheel sand regulating wheels truing devices with further carriage systems are provided. In the present invention the operating forces of the centerless round grinding process make it easy, especially by the combination of grinding process and gravity force, uncomplex and fast grinding of the work pieces. Further on especially by the arrangement of the rotating angle and adaption of the surfaces at the present invention arrangements for light and heavy as well as small and big work pieces are to be chosen customized. A further aspect is the simplified loading and unloading of the work pieces to and from a grinding gap, because it can happen in basically the same direction every time and therefor the loading devices and unloading devices don't have to be changed. This avoids, that different constructions are necessary respective to the size, weight and form of the work piece and the grinding task. Therefor an easy and quick optimization concerning precision and costs is possible.
- It is advantageous, if at least one of the longitudinal motion axis of the carriages of the grinding wheel and/or the regulation wheel and/or the truing device for the regulation wheel and/or the truing device for the grinding wheel at least in the machine mounting plane is arranged inclined to at least one of the other longitudinal motion axis of the carriages of the grinding wheel and/or regulating wheel and/or truing device for the regulation wheel and/or the truing device for the grinding wheel.
- It is advantageous, if the truing device for the grinding wheel and/or the truing device for the regulation wheel has a truing device grinding wheel with a rotation axis and/or a sharpening angle.
- It is advantageous, if respectively arranged are at least the rotation axis of the grinding wheel and/or of the regulation wheel and/or of the truing devices inclined against at least the longitudinal motion axis of the carriages of the grinding wheel and/or the regulation wheel and/or the truing device for the regulation wheel and/or the truing device for the grinding wheel.
- It is advantageous, if that the assembly surface of the machine bed is inclined in space, especially in that way, that the inserted work piece is to be moved by a gravity impact.
- It is advantageous, if the rotation axis of the grinding wheel and the rotation axis of the regulation wheel are installed inclined to each other, especially that the rotation axis of the grinding wheel and the rotation axis of the regulation wheel aim at each other in the direction of an inclined sloping machine bed.
- It is advantageous, if one of the rotation axes is set up horizontal in relation to a inclined sloping machine bed and the other rotation axis is set up inclined sloping to the horizontal rotation axis.
- It is advantageous, if the rotation axis of the truing wheel is installed parallel to the rotation axis of the regulation wheel and/or the grinding wheel.
- It is advantageous, if the relative height position of the rotation axes and/or the longitudinal motion axis and/or the work piece is adjustable, especially by adjustment of the height position of the workrest blade of the work piece.
- The problem is solved as well by a method for use of one of the devices according to one of the claims 1 to 9, whereas a grinding wheel with a rotation axis, a regulation wheel with a rotation axis, a workrest blade for putting on the work piece and/or a truing device for the grinding wheel and/or a truing device for the regulation wheel, in such a way arranged on a machine bed, in particular in an assembly surface, that the grinding wheel and the regulation wheel and the workrest blade touch the work piece at the moment of grinding, whereas the grinding wheel and/or the regulation wheel and/or the truing device for the grinding wheel and/or the truing device for the regulation wheel respectively are arranged on a hydraulic and/or electromotive driven carriage, which is at least longitudinally adjustable along a longitudinal motion axis, whereas the longitudinal motion axis of the carriage of the grinding wheel and/or the longitudinal motion axis of the carriage of the regulation wheel and/or the longitudinal motion axis or the carriage of the truing device for the regulation wheel and/or the longitudinal motion axis of the carriage of the truing device for the grinding wheel are adjusted by a rotational movement around a respective rotation axis of the longitudinal motion axis of the carriage of the grinding wheel and/or the longitudinal motion axis of the carriage of the grinding wheel and/or the longitudinal motion axis of the carriage of the regulating wheel and/or of the longitudinal motion axis of the carriage of the truing device for the regulation wheel and/or of the longitudinal motion axis of the carriage of the truing device of the grinding wheel.
- Further features and advantages of the invention result from the claims and the following description, in which the examples of construction of the object of the invention are further discussed in combination with the figures.

FIG. 1 shows a device 1 according to the invention for centerless round grinding ofcylindrical work pieces 2 with exemplified positioned axes. The device 1 shows agrinding wheel 3 on arotation axis 4, a regulating wheel 5 for pressing of the work piece to the grinding wheel with arotation axis 6, a workrest blade 7 for positioning of the work piece, a truing device 8 for the grinding wheel and a truing device 9 for the regulating wheel. The devices are positioned on a machine bed 10, especially in a assemblingsurface 23 inclined in space, so that the grinding and the regulating wheel and the workrest blade contact the work piece in the moment of grinding, whereas the work piece is positioned in a grinding gap built by the adjacent regulating wheel, grinding wheel and workrest blade. The grinding wheel and/or the regulating wheel and/or the truing device for the grinding wheel and/or the truing device for the regulating wheel are each positioned on a hydraulic and/or electromotive driven carriage, at least movable along a longitudinal motion axis. Thelongitudinal motion axis 11 of thecarriage 12, especially of a carriage system with CNC axis, of the regulating wheel and or the longitudinal motion axis 24 of the carriage 25, especially a carriage system with CNC axis as well, of the regulating wheel and/or thelongitudinal motion axis 13 of thecarriage 14 of the truing device for the regulating wheel and/or the longitudinal motion axis 15 of the carriage 16 of the truing device for the grinding wheel are adjusted according to a rotation movement around arotation axis 17 of thelongitudinal motion axis 11 of thecarriage 12 of thegrinding wheel 3 and/or therotational axis 19 of the longitudinal motion axis of the carriage of the truing device for the grinding wheel. - The present invention therefor allows an individually adjustable askew grinding.
- The work piece with rotationally symmetrical longitudinal axis is positioned on the workrest blade and is controlled driven by the regulating wheel with rotation axis parallel or inclined in space as well as machined by the grinding wheel with respectively positioned inclined spindle axis. For implementing a forward movement for the machining, for the opening of the grinding gap for loading and unloading, and for adjusting of the geometrie and preciseness the present inventive carriage systems with procedure movement are provided. For truing an shaping of abrasive grinding wheels and/or regulating wheels further carriage systems an provided. Both carriage systems of the regulating wheel and the grinding wheel can be adjusted in that way, that an angle to each other is formed, which itself allows an angle to the longitudinal axis of the work piece. Herewith an askew grinding to the work piece is reached. Further inclinations of the axes of grinding spindle, regulating spindle and work piece into further space planes are of importance for the implementation of the centerless round grinding process. The height position of the work piece relative to the regulating wheel and the grinding wheel is configurable respectively. On the machine bed a carriage system with CNC transverse axis can be adjusted beside the grinding wheel and the regulating wheel with optional truing devices, for example single diamond and others, but especially a truing grinding wheel, especially a diamond roll, with rotation axis 22. The truing of the grinding wheel and the regulating wheel can be made respectively by CNC line controlled via carriage system axis. Further inclination of the longitudinal axes of the diamond roll and the truing device for the regulating wheel in further space planes are of importance for the adjustment of the grinding process. Additionally to the askew grinding on the work piece the rotation axis of the grinding wheel on the carriage system is swivelable around the rotation axis, which not has to be done in the plane, as well as the rotation axis of the regulating wheel. The orientation of the axes in the space are shown in the figures exemplarily. These can be arbitrary to each other, for offering the optimal position of work piece and grinding wheels and regulating wheels to each other. Claims (10)
1. Device (1) for centerless round grinding of round, cylindrical work pieces (2), having a grinding wheel (3) with an axis of rotation (4), a regulation wheel (5) for pressing of the work piece against the grinding wheel with an axis of rotation (6), a workrest blade (7) for putting on the work piece and/or a truing device (8) for the grinding wheel and/or a truing device (9) for the regulation wheel, in such a way arranged on a machine bed (10), in particular in an assembly surface (23) inclined in the space, that the grinding wheel and the regulation wheel and the workrest blade touch the work piece at the moment of grinding, whereas the work piece is arranged in a grinding gap being formed by the adjoining regulation wheel, grinding wheel and workrest blade, whereas the grinding wheel and/or the regulation wheel and/or the truing device for the grinding wheel and/or the truing device for the regulation wheel respectively are arranged on a hydraulic and/or electromotive driven carriage, which is at least longitudinally adjustable along a longitudinal motion axis, whereas the longitudinal motion axis (11) of the carriage (12) of the grinding wheel and/or the longitudinal motion axis (24) of the carriage (25) of the regulation wheel and/or the longitudinal motion axis (13) or the carriage (14) of the truing device for the regulation wheel and/or the longitudinal motion axis (15) of the carriage (16) of the truing device for the grinding wheel is adjustable within the meaning of a rotational movement around a rotation axis (17) of the longitudinal motion axis (11) of the carriage (12) of the grinding wheel (3) and/or the rotation axis (18) of the longitudinal motion axis of the carriage of the grinding wheel and/or the rotation axis (19) of the longitudinal motion axis of the carriage of the truing device for the regulation wheel and/or the rotational axis (20) of the longitudinal motion axis of the carriage of the truing device of the grinding wheel are arranged.
2. Device according to claim 1 , characterized by the fact that at least one of the longitudinal motion axis of the carriages of the grinding wheel and/or the regulation wheel and/or the truing device for the regulation wheel and/or the truing device for the grinding wheel at least in the machine mounting plane is arranged inclined to at least one of the other longitudinal motion axis of the carriages of the grinding wheel and/or regulating wheel and/or truing device for the regulation wheel and/or the truing device for the grinding wheel.
3. Device according to claim 1 , characterized by the fact that the truing device (8) for the grinding wheel and/or the truing device (9) for the regulation wheel has a truing device grinding wheel (21) with a rotation axis (22) and/or a sharpening angle (26).

Device according to claim 1 , characterized by the fact that respectively arranged are at least the rotation axis of the grinding wheel and/or of the regulation wheel and/or of the truing devices inclined against at least the longitudinal motion axis of the carriages of the grinding wheel and/or the regulation wheel and/or the truing device for the regulation wheel and/or the truing device for the grinding wheel.
5. Device according to claim 1 , characterized by the fact that the assembly surface (23) of the machine bed (10) is inclined in space, especially in that way, that the inserted work piece is to be moved by a gravity impact.
6. Device according to claim 1 , characterized by the fact that the rotation axis of the grinding wheel and the rotation axis of the regulation wheel are installed inclined to each other, especially that the rotation axis of the grinding wheel and the rotation axis of the regulation wheel aim at each other in the direction of an inclined sloping machine bed (10).
7. Device according to claim 1 , characterized by the fact that one of the rotation axes is set up horizontal in relation to a inclined sloping machine bed and the other rotation axis is set up inclined sloping to the horizontal rotation axis.
8. Device according to claim 1 , characterized by the fact that the rotation axis of the truing wheel is installed parallel to the rotation axis of the regulation wheel and/or the grinding wheel.
9. Device according to claim 1 , characterized by the fact that the relative height position of the rotation axes and/or the longitudinal motion axis and/or the work piece is adjustable, especially by adjustment of the height position of the workrest blade of the work piece.
10. Method for use of one of the devices according to claim 1 , whereas a grinding wheel with a rotation axis, a regulation wheel with a rotation axis,
a workrest blade for putting on the work piece and/or a truing device for the grinding wheel and/or a truing device for the regulation wheel, in such a way arranged on a machine bed, in particular in an assembly surface, that the grinding wheel and the regulation wheel and the workrest blade touch the work piece at the moment of grinding, whereas the grinding wheel and/or the regulation wheel and/or the truing device for the grinding wheel and/or the truing device for the regulation wheel respectively are arranged on a hydraulic and/or electromotive driven carriage, which is at least longitudinally adjustable along a longitudinal motion axis, whereas the longitudinal motion axis of the carriage of the grinding wheel and/or the longitudinal motion axis of the carriage of the regulation wheel and/or the longitudinal motion axis or the carriage of the truing device for the regulation wheel and/or the longitudinal motion axis of the carriage of the truing device for the grinding wheel are adjusted by a rotational movement around a respective rotation axis of the longitudinal motion axis of the carriage of the grinding wheel (3) and/or the longitudinal motion axis of the carriage of the grinding wheel and/or the longitudinal motion axis of the carriage of the regulating wheel and/or of the longitudinal motion axis of the carriage of the truing device for the regulation wheel and/or of the longitudinal motion axis of the carriage of the truing device of the grinding wheel.
