- The disclosure and prior art relates to necktie devices and more particularly pertains to a new necktie device for facilitating a necktie to be worn and taken off without having to tie and untie a knot.
- An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a necktie that has a front apron, a knot and a pair of straps. The front apron extends downwardly along a user's chest and the knot is positioned below the user's neck when the necktie is worn. Each of the straps is extended around opposite sides of the user's neck when the necktie is worn. A first belt is worn around the user's neck and the first belt releasably engages a selected one of the straps. A second belt is worn around the user's neck and the second belt is slidably coupled to the first belt. The second belt releasably engages a selected one of the straps. In this way each of the first belt and the second belt are retained around the user's neck when the necktie is worn.
- There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
- The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.
- The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:
-
FIG. 1 is a front view of a snap-on necktie assembly according to an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 2 is an exploded front view of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 3 is a back perspective view of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 4 is a back view of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 5 is a cross sectional view taken along line 5-5 ofFIG. 3 of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 6 is a perspective in-use view of an embodiment of the disclosure. - With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to
FIGS. 1 through 6 thereof, a new necktie device embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by thereference numeral 10 will be described. - As best illustrated in
FIGS. 1 through 6 , the snap-onnecktie assembly 10 generally comprises anecktie 12 that has afront apron 14 and aknot 16. Theknot 16 has atop side 18 and abottom side 20 and thefront apron 14 extends downwardly from thebottom side 20. Thefront apron 14 extends downwardly along a user'schest 22 and theknot 16 is positioned below the user'sneck 24 when thenecktie 12 is worn. Theknot 16 may have the appearance of a Half Windsor knot, a Double Windsor knot or any other type of necktie knot. - The
necktie 12 includes a pair ofstraps 26 and each of thestraps 26 extends away from thetop side 18 of theknot 16. Thestraps 26 are spaced apart from each other and each of thestraps 26 has adistal end 28 with respect to theknot 16. Each of thestraps 26 angles outwardly from a vertical center line of theknot 16. Moreover, each of thestraps 26 extends around opposite sides of the user'sneck 24 when thenecktie 12 is worn. A pair offirst fasteners 30 is provided and each of thefirst fasteners 30 is coupled to an associated one of thestraps 26. Each of thefirst fasteners 30 is positioned closer to thedistal end 28 of the associated strap than theknot 16. Each of thefirst fasteners 30 may comprise a snap or other mechanical fastener. - A
first belt 32 is provided and thefirst belt 32 is worn around the user'sneck 24 when thenecktie 12 is worn. Thefirst belt 32 has afirst end 34 and asecond end 36, thesecond end 36 is open and thefirst belt 32 is substantially hollow. Thefirst belt 32 has anelastic portion 38 such that thefirst belt 32 is stretchable to a selected length to accommodate a variety of neck sizes. Theelastic portion 38 may be centrally positioned between thefirst end 34 and thesecond end 36. - A
second fastener 40 is provided and thesecond fastener 40 is coupled to thefirst belt 32. Thesecond fastener 40 is positioned closer to thefirst end 34 than thesecond end 36. Thesecond fastener 40 releasably engages thefirst fastener 30 on a selected one of thestraps 26. Additionally, thesecond fastener 40 may be a snap or other mechanical fastener. - A
second belt 42 is provided and thesecond belt 42 is worn around the user'sneck 24 when thenecktie 12 is worn. Thesecond belt 42 has aprimary end 44 and asecondary end 46. Thesecond end 36 of thefirst belt 32 insertably receives theprimary end 44 of thesecond belt 42 such that thesecond belt 42 is slidably coupled to thefirst belt 32. Astop 48 is coupled to theprimary end 44 of thesecond belt 42 such that thestop 48 is positioned within thefirst belt 32. Thestop 48 has a height that is greater than a height of thesecond end 36. In this way thestop 48 inhibits thesecond belt 42 from being removed from thefirst belt 32. - A
third fastener 50 is provided and thethird fastener 50 is coupled to thesecond belt 42. Thethird fastener 50 is positioned closer to thesecondary end 46 than theprimary end 44. Thethird fastener 50 releasably engages thefirst fastener 30 on a selected one of thestraps 26. Thus, thefirst belt 32 and thesecond belt 42 are retained around the user'sneck 24 when thenecktie 12 is worn. Each of thenecktie 12, thefirst belt 32 and thesecond belt 42 may be manufactured in a variety of colors and patterns. - In use, each of the
first belt 32 and thesecond belt 42 are positioned around the user'sneck 24. Thesecond fastener 40 is coupled to thefirst fastener 30 on a selectedstrap 26 and thethird fastener 50 is coupled to thefirst fastener 30 on a selectedstrap 26. In this way theknot 16 and thefront apron 14 are worn in the convention of neckties. Each of thenecktie 12,first belt 32 andsecond belt 42 facilitate thenecktie 12 to be worn without having to tie the knot thereby saving time while getting dressed. Additionally, thenecktie 12, thefirst belt 32 and thesecond belt 42 facilitate a consistent appearance of theknot 16 andfront apron 14 with respect to manually tying theknot 16 and adjusting a length of thefront apron 14. Each of thefirst belt 32 and thesecond belt 42 are adjusted to comfortably extend around the user'sneck 24. Each of thefirst belt 32 and thesecond belt 42 are uncoupled from thestraps 26 to remove thenecktie 12. - With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
- Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
