Abstract
A portable toilet system includes a portable toilet that has a stand, a seat that is coupled to the stand and a container that is coupled to the seat. The seat is sat upon thereby facilitating the container to capture waste. A platform unit is provided and the platform unit is positioned on a support surface. The portable toilet is positioned on the platform unit. A rolling unit is provided and the rolling unit is coupled to the platform unit. Moreover, the rolling unit selectively rolls along the support surface. The rolling unit is selectively positioned in a raised position having the platform unit being spaced from the support surface. The rolling unit is selectively positioned in a lowered position having the platform unit resting on the support surface.

- The disclosure and prior art relates to toilet devices and more particularly pertains to a new toilet device for facilitating a disabled user to access a toilet without assistance.
- An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a portable toilet that has a stand, a seat that is coupled to the stand and a container that is coupled to the seat. The seat is sat upon thereby facilitating the container to capture waste. A platform unit is provided and the platform unit is positioned on a support surface. The portable toilet is positioned on the platform unit. A rolling unit is provided and the rolling unit is coupled to the platform unit. Moreover, the rolling unit selectively rolls along the support surface. The rolling unit is selectively positioned in a raised position having the platform unit being spaced from the support surface. The rolling unit is selectively positioned in a lowered position having the platform unit resting on the support surface.
- There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
- The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.
- The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:

FIG. 5 is a front view of an embodiment of the disclosure. - With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to
FIGS. 1 through 5 thereof, a new toilet device embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by thereference numeral 10 will be described. - As best illustrated in
FIGS. 1 through 5 , theportable toilet system 10 generally comprises aportable toilet 12 that has astand 14, aseat 16 and acontainer 18 that is coupled to theseat 16. Theseat 16 is sat upon thereby facilitating thecontainer 18 to capture waste. Theportable toilet 12 may be aportable toilet 12 of any conventional design. Additionally, theportable toilet 12 may be a hospital grade portable toilet and theportable toilet 12 may be employed by a physically disabled user. - A
platform unit 20 is provided and the platform is positioned on a support surface 21. The support surface 21 may be a floor or the like and theportable toilet 12 is positioned on theplatform unit 20. Theplatform unit 20 comprises apanel 22 has atop surface 24, abottom surface 26 and aperipheral edge 28 extending therebetween. Theperipheral edge 28 has a firstlateral side 30, a secondlateral side 32, afront side 34 and arear side 36. Theportable toilet 12 is positioned on thetop surface 24 and thebottom surface 26 selectively rests on the support surface 21. Thetop surface 24 is textured to enhance traction when thepanel 22 is mounted. - A
first wall 38 is coupled to and extends upwardly from thetop surface 24 of thepanel 22. Thefirst wall 38 is coextensive with the firstlateral side 30 of thepanel 22 and thefirst wall 38 has anupper edge 40 and an inwardly facingsurface 42. Asecond wall 44 is coupled to and extends upwardly from thetop surface 24 of thepanel 22. Thesecond wall 44 is coextensive with the secondlateral side 32 of thepanel 22 and thesecond wall 44 has anupper edge 46 and an inwardly facingsurface 48. - A
third wall 50 is coupled to and extends upwardly from thetop surface 24 of thepanel 22. Thethird wall 50 is coextensive with therear side 36 of thepanel 22 and thethird wall 50 has a rearwardly facingsurface 52. A plurality offirst supports 54 is provided and each of thefirst supports 54 is coupled to and extends upwardly from the upper edge of thefirst wall 38. Each of thefirst supports 54 has adistal end 56 with respect to thefirst wall 38. - A
first handle 58 is coupled to thedistal end 56 corresponding to each of thefirst supports 54. Thefirst handle 58 is gripped when theportable toilet 12 is mounted and thefirst handle 58 extends forwardly beyond thefirst wall 38. Afirst pad 60 is coupled around thefirst handle 58 and thefirst pad 60 is comprised of a resiliently compressible material. In this way thefirst pad 60 enhancesgrip 78 ping thefirst handle 58. - A plurality of
second supports 62 is provided and each of thesecond supports 62 is coupled to and extends upwardly from the upper edge of thesecond wall 44. Each of thesecond supports 62 has adistal end 64 with respect to thesecond wall 44. Asecond handle 66 is coupled to thedistal end 64 corresponding to each of thesecond supports 62. Thesecond handle 66 is gripped when theportable toilet 12 is mounted and thesecond handle 66 extends forwardly beyond thesecond wall 44. Asecond pad 68 is coupled around thesecond handle 66 and thesecond pad 68 is comprised of a resiliently compressible material. In this way thesecond pad 68 enhances gripping thesecond handle 66. - A
first leg 70 extends forwardly from thefront side 34 of thepanel 22 and thefirst leg 70 has adistal end 72 with respect to thepanel 22. Asecond leg 74 extends forwardly from thefront side 34 of thepanel 22 and thesecond leg 74 has adistal end 76 with respect to thepanel 22. Agrip 78 is coupled to the rearwardly facingsurface 52 of thethird wall 50. Thegrip 78 is selectively manipulated thereby facilitating theplatform unit 20 to be urged on the support surface 21. - A
first light emitter 80 is coupled to theplatform unit 20 and thefirst light emitter 80 selectively illuminates theplatform unit 20. Thefirst light emitter 80 is positioned to the inwardly facingsurface 42 of thefirst wall 38. Asecond light emitter 82 is coupled to theplatform unit 20 and thesecond light emitter 82 selectively illuminates theplatform unit 20. Thesecond light emitter 82 is positioned on the inwardly facingsurface 48 of thesecond wall 44. Each of the first 80 and second 82 light emitters facilitates theportable toilet 12 to be mounted in a darkened environment. Additionally, each of the first 80 and second 82 light emitters may be an LED or the like. Moreover, each of the first 80 and second 82 light emitters may have self contained batteries. - A rolling
unit 84 is provided and the rollingunit 84 is coupled to theplatform unit 20 to roll along the support surface 21. The rollingunit 84 is selectively positioned in a raised position having theplatform unit 20 being configured to be spaced from the support surface 21. In this way theplatform unit 20 is positioned at a selected location on the support surface 21. The rollingunit 84 is selectively positioned in a lowered position having theplatform unit 20 resting on the support surface 21. In this way theplatform unit 20 is retained at the selected location on the support surface 21. - The rolling
unit 84 comprises a pair offirst rollers 86 and each of thefirst rollers 86 is coupled to the 72,76 corresponding to an associated one of thedistal end first leg 70 and thesecond leg 74. Each of thefirst rollers 86 rolls along the support surface 21. Moreover, each of thefirst rollers 86 may be an offset caster such that each of saidfirst rollers 86 is aligned with thebottom surface 26 of thepanel 22. - An
actuator 88 is coupled to therearwardly facing surface 52 of thethird wall 50. Theactuator 88 may be a hydraulic piston or the like. Additionally, theactuator 88 may have a lifting capacity ranging between 180.0 kg and 225.0 kg. Amember 90 is movably coupled to therearwardly facing surface 52 of thethird wall 50 and themember 90 has a downwardly facingsurface 92. Themember 90 is horizontally oriented and themember 90 is coupled to theactuator 88. Moreover, theactuator 88 selectively urges themember 90 upwardly and downwardly along thethird wall 50 and themember 90 is aligned with thepanel 22. Apedal 94 is hingedly coupled to theactuator 88 and thepedal 94 is selectively manipulated. Theactuator 88 urges themember 90 downwardly along thethird wall 50 when thepedal 94 is manipulated. - A pair of
second rollers 96 is provided and each of thesecond rollers 96 is coupled to the downwardly facingsurface 92 of themember 90. Each of thesecond rollers 96 engages the support surface 21 when thepedal 94 is manipulated thereby facilitating theplatform unit 20 to be rolled along the support surface 21. Each of thesecond rollers 96 is spaced from the support surface 21 when themember 90 is urged upwardly. In this way theplatform unit 20 rests on the support surface 21. - In use, the
pedal 94 is manipulated thereby facilitating theactuator 88 to lift thepanel 22 upwardly from the support surface 21. Theplatform unit 20 is subsequently positioned adjacent to a bed or other location to facilitate the physically disabled user to access theportable toilet 12 without assistance. Thepedal 94 is manipulated to facilitate theactuator 88 to lower thepanel 22 onto the support surface 21. - Each of the first 58 and second 66 handles is gripped and
panel 22 is mounted when thepanel 22 is resting on the support surface 21. Theportable toilet 12 is mounted and theportable toilet 12 is employed for the purposes of defecation and urination. Each of the first 80 and second 82 light emitters is selectively turned on to illuminate thepanel 22 at night. Thecontainer 18 is periodically removed from theportable toilet 12 and emptied. - With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, system and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
- Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
Claims (17)
1. A portable toilet system comprising:
a portable toilet having a stand, a seat being coupled to said stand and a container being coupled to said seat, said seat being configured to be sat upon thereby facilitating said container to capture waste;
a platform unit being configured to be positioned on a support surface, said portable toilet being positioned on said platform unit; and
a rolling unit being coupled to said platform unit wherein said rolling unit is configured to roll along the support surface, said rolling unit being selectively positioned in a raised position wherein said platform unit is configured to be spaced from the support surface, said rolling unit being selectively positioned in a lowered position wherein said platform unit is configured to rest on the support surface.
2. The system according to claim 1 , further comprising said platform unit comprises a panel having a top surface, a bottom surface and a peripheral edge extending therebetween, said peripheral edge having a first lateral side, a second lateral side, a front side and a rear side, said portable toilet being positioned on said top surface, said bottom surface being configured to rest on the support surface, said top surface being textured wherein said top surface is configured to enhance traction when said panel is mounted.
3. The system according to claim 2 , further comprising a first wall being coupled to and extending upwardly from said top surface of said panel, said first wall being coextensive with said first lateral side of said panel, said first wall having an upper edge and an inwardly facing surface.
4. The system according to claim 3 , further comprising a second wall being coupled to and extending upwardly from said top surface of said panel, said second wall being coextensive with said second lateral side of said panel, said second wall having an upper edge and an inwardly facing surface.
5. The system according to claim 4 , further comprising a third wall being coupled to and extending upwardly from said top surface of said panel, said third wall being coextensive with said rear side of said panel, said third wall having a rearwardly facing surface.
6. The system according to claim 4 , further comprising:
a plurality of first supports, each of said first supports being coupled to and extending upwardly from said upper edge of said first wall, each of said first supports having a distal end with respect to said first wall; and
a first handle being coupled to said distal end corresponding to each of said first supports wherein said first handle is configured to be gripped when said portable toilet is mounted, said first handle extending forwardly beyond said first wall.
7. The system according to claim 6 , further comprising:
a plurality of second supports, each of said second supports being coupled to and extending upwardly from said upper edge of said second wall, each of said second supports having a distal end with respect to said second wall; and
a second handle being coupled to said distal end corresponding to each of said second supports wherein said second handle is configured to be gripped when said portable toilet is mounted, said second handle extending forwardly beyond said second wall.
8. The system according to claim 2 , further comprising:
a first leg extending forwardly from said front side of said panel, said first leg having a distal end with respect to said panel; and
a second leg extending forwardly from said front side of said panel, said second leg having a distal end with respect to said panel.
9. The system according to claim 5 , further comprising a grip being coupled to said rearwardly facing surface of said third wall wherein said grip is configured to be manipulated thereby facilitating said platform unit to be urged on the support surface.
10. The system according to claim 4 , further comprising a first light emitter being coupled to said platform unit wherein said first light emitter is configured to selectively illuminate said platform unit, said first light emitter being positioned to said inwardly facing surface of said first wall.
11. The system according to claim 10 , further comprising a second light emitter being coupled to said platform unit wherein said second light emitter is configured to selectively illuminate said platform unit, said second light emitter being positioned on said inwardly facing surface of said second wall.
12. The system according to claim 8 , further comprising said rolling unit comprises a pair of first rollers, each of said first rollers being coupled to said distal end corresponding to an associated one of said first leg and said second leg, each of said first rollers being configured to roll along the support surface.
13. The system according to claim 5 , further comprising an actuator being coupled to said rearwardly facing surface of said third wall.
14. The system according to claim 13 , further comprising a member being movably coupled to said rearwardly facing surface of said third wall, said member having a downwardly facing surface, said member being horizontally oriented, said member being coupled to said actuator such that said actuator selectively urges said member upwardly and downwardly along said third wall, said member being aligned with said platform.
15. The system according to claim 14 , further comprising a pedal being hingedly coupled to said actuator wherein said pedal is configured to be manipulated, said actuator urging said member downwardly along said third wall when said pedal is manipulated.
16. The system according to claim 15 , further comprising a pair of second rollers, each of said second rollers being coupled to said downwardly facing surface of said member, each of said second rollers being configured to engage the support surface when said pedal is manipulated thereby facilitating said platform unit to be rolled along the support surface, each of said second rollers being spaced from the support surface when said member is urged upwardly wherein said platform unit is configured to rest on the support surface.
17. A portable toilet system comprising:
a portable toilet having a stand, a seat being coupled to said stand and a container being coupled to said seat, said seat being configured to be sat upon thereby facilitating said container to capture waste;
a platform unit being configured to be positioned on a support surface, said portable toilet being positioned on said platform unit, said platform unit comprising:
a panel having a top surface, a bottom surface and a peripheral edge extending therebetween, said peripheral edge having a first lateral side, a second lateral side, a front side and a rear side, said portable toilet being positioned on said top surface, said bottom surface being configured to rest on the support surface, said top surface being textured wherein said top surface is configured to enhance traction when said panel is mounted; and
a first wall being coupled to and extending upwardly from said top surface of said panel, said first wall being coextensive with said first lateral side of said panel, said first wall having an upper edge and an inwardly facing surface,
a second wall being coupled to and extending upwardly from said top surface of said panel, said second wall being coextensive with said second lateral side of said panel, said second wall having an upper edge and an inwardly facing surface,
a third wall being coupled to and extending upwardly from said top surface of said panel, said third wall being coextensive with said rear side of said panel, said third wall having a rearwardly facing surface,
a plurality of first supports, each of said first supports being coupled to and extending upwardly from said upper edge of said first wall, each of said first supports having a distal end with respect to said first wall,
a first handle being coupled to said distal end corresponding to each of said first supports wherein said first handle is configured to be gripped when said portable toilet is mounted, said first handle extending forwardly beyond said first wall,
a plurality of second supports, each of said second supports being coupled to and extending upwardly from said upper edge of said second wall, each of said second supports having a distal end with respect to said second wall,
a second handle being coupled to said distal end corresponding to each of said second supports wherein said second handle is configured to be gripped when said portable toilet is mounted, said second handle extending forwardly beyond said second wall,
a first leg extending forwardly from said front side of said panel, said first leg having a distal end with respect to said panel,
a second leg extending forwardly from said front side of said panel, said second leg having a distal end with respect to said panel, and
a grip being coupled to said rearwardly facing surface of said third wall wherein said grip is configured to be manipulated thereby facilitating said platform unit to be urged on the support surface;
a first light emitter being coupled to said platform unit wherein said first light emitter is configured to selectively illuminate said platform unit, said first light emitter being positioned to said inwardly facing surface of said first wall;
a second light emitter being coupled to said platform unit wherein said second light emitter is configured to selectively illuminate said platform unit, said second light emitter being positioned on said inwardly facing surface of said second wall; and
a rolling unit being coupled to said platform unit wherein said rolling unit is configured to roll along the support surface, said rolling unit being selectively positioned in a raised position wherein said platform unit is configured to be spaced from the support surface, said rolling unit being selectively positioned in a lowered position wherein said platform unit is configured to rest on the support surface, said rolling unit comprising:
a pair of first rollers, each of said first rollers being coupled to said distal end corresponding to an associated one of said first leg and said second leg, each of said first rollers being configured to roll along the support surface,
an actuator being coupled to said rearwardly facing surface of said third wall,
a member being movably coupled to said rearwardly facing surface of said third wall, said member having a downwardly facing surface, said member being horizontally oriented, said member being coupled to said actuator such that said actuator selectively urges said member upwardly and downwardly along said third wall, said member being aligned with said platform,
a pedal being hingedly coupled to said actuator wherein said pedal is configured to be manipulated, said actuator urging said member downwardly along said third wall when said pedal is manipulated, and
a pair of second rollers, each of said second rollers being coupled to said downwardly facing surface of said member, each of said second rollers being configured to engage the support surface when said pedal is manipulated thereby facilitating said platform unit to be rolled along the support surface, each of said second rollers being spaced from the support surface when said member is urged upwardly wherein said platform unit is configured to rest on the support surface.
