Abstract
A thermal and cold insulation bottle structure is disclosed herein, comprising: a bottle body having an integrally formed stainless steel double wall, an opening, an interior space, and a base portion, wherein the opening having an inner wall disposed with a female thread; a lid having a male thread corresponding to the female thread to screw on the opening of the bottle body; and a removable bottom cover having an expandable plug, a screw secured to the center of the expandable plug, a nut engaged with the screw, and a lever connected to the nut, so as to allow the removable bottom cover to be accommodated in the base portion of the interior space of the bottle body.
Description
- The present invention relates to a thermal and cold insulation bottle structure. It mainly comprises a bottle body and a special removable bottom cover for fittingly accommodating various beverage bottles with different heights, e.g. beer bottles and soft drink bottles, so as to prevent arbitrary movements of the beverage bottle in the thermal and cold insulation bottle structure and to keep beverage inside the beverage bottles cold or hot during drinking without the need of taking out the beverage bottles from the thermal and cold insulation bottle structure.
- In order to maintain an original flavor and an icy cold taste of beverage, e.g. beer or soft drink, various beverage housings, containers or receptacles have been designed to directly accommodate the beverage bottle in its internal space for continuously keeping the beverage cold or hot without pouring out the liquid from the beverage bottle. For instance, the U.S. Pat. No. 8,534,345 B1, issued on 17 Sep. 2013, disclosed an insulated beverage housing with temperature maintenance. The U.S. Pat. Nos. 8,448,810 B2 and 9,161,661 B2, issued on 28 May 2013 and 20 Oct. 2015, respectively, disclosed a double walled beverage container and method of making same. Specifically, an outer insulating shell or container of the double walled beverage container is secured to the inner container that holds the beverage, and an air gap is provided between the outer container and inner container for insulating most beverages. An apparatus for insulating and/or carrying a beverage container disclosed by the U.S. Pat. No. 20140209559 A1, published on 31 Jul. 2014, disclosed an insulated beverage container for beer bottles, more particularly to sustain a temperature gradient for chilled liquids from the ambient over a significant time frame. Accordingly, the beverage or beer can be maintained at a desired temperature while users drink it. However, the abovementioned structures do not cover the beverage bottle completely, so that the effect of thermal and cold insulation is still limited.
- A conventional cold insulated bottle structure for accommodating a glass beverage bottle generally comprises a lid, a single layer stainless steel bottle body having an interior space, and a bottom cover. Furthermore, an inner wall of an opening of the bottle body is provided with a first female thread for allowing a first male thread disposed on a lid to screw thereon, and an outer wall of a base portion of the bottle body is provided with a second male thread for screwing on a second female thread disposed on the bottom cover. The stainless steel is lined with a neoprene lining to keep an enclosed glass beverage bottle substantially cold. Even though the abovementioned structure can form a sealed state and accommodate a glass beverage bottle therein, it is only applicable to hold a glass beverage bottle with the same size as the capacity of the interior space of the bottle body. Namely, if the cold insulated bottle structure holds a glass beverage bottle with a smaller bottle size than the interior space of the bottle body, the glass beverage bottle may arbitrarily move in the interior space of the cold insulated bottle structure. Moreover, in drinking the beverage, users must take the glass beverage bottle out of the interior space of the cold insulated bottle structure; in such a case, the beverage inside the beverage bottle cannot be kept cold continuously.
- In view of the above-mentioned problems, the object of the present invention is to provide a thermal and cold insulation bottle structure for holding beer bottles, soft drink bottles, and the like. It comprises a removable bottom cover disposed on the base portion of an interior space of a bottle body so as to position the beverage bottles, prevent arbitrary movements of the beverage bottles in the thermal and cold insulation bottle structure, and to keep beverage inside the beverage bottles cold or hot during drinking without the need of taking out the beverage bottles from the thermal and cold insulation bottle structure.
- Disclosed herein is a thermal and cold insulation bottle structure, comprising: a bottle body having an integrally formed stainless steel double wall, an opening, an interior space, and a base portion, wherein the opening having an inner wall disposed with a female thread; a lid having a male thread corresponding to the female thread to screw on the opening of the bottle body; and a removable bottom cover having an expandable plug, a screw secured to the center of the expandable plug, a nut engaged with the screw, and a lever connected to the nut, so as to allow the removable bottom cover to be accommodated in the base portion of the interior space of the bottle body.
- According to an embodiment of the present invention, the removable bottom cover contacts a bottom of a beverage bottle accommodated in the interior space, pushes the beverage bottle toward the opening of the bottle body by pulling the lever, and further positions the beverage bottle in the interior space by pulling back the lever.
- According to an embodiment of the present invention, the expandable plug consists of an upper cover, an O-ring and a lower cover. Specifically, the upper cover and lower cover are separated from each other and forming a gap for accommodating the O-ring to allow the removable bottom cover to move in the interior space of the bottle body as the lever is pulled, whereas the upper cover is tightly compressed with the lower cover resulting in an outward protrusion of the O-ring to allow the removable bottom cover to position the beverage bottle in the interior space of the bottle body as the lever is pulled back.
- According to an embodiment of the present invention, the lid, or the removable bottom cover, or both can be made of a plastic material, and the male thread of the lid is made of a flexible plastic material, e.g. silicone, rubber, foam material, injecting soft material and the like. In such a case, the tightness of the whole structure can be increased when the removable bottom cover and the lid are respectively locked on the base portion and the opening of the bottle body, so as to enhance the thermal or cold insulation.
- Accordingly, the prevent can prevent arbitrary movements of the beverage bottles in the thermal and cold insulation bottle structure, and to keep beverage inside the beverage bottles cold or hot during drinking without the need of taking out the beverage bottles from the thermal and cold insulation bottle structure.

FIG. 5 is a sectional view of a first embodiment showing a lever being pulled to push a removable bottom cover and a beverage bottle toward an opening of a bottle body; -
FIG. 6 is a sectional view of a first embodiment showing a lever being pulled back to position a removable bottom cover and a beverage bottle in the interior space of a bottle body; -
FIG. 7 is a sectional view of a first embodiment showing a beverage bottle held in a thermal and cold insulation bottle structure in a state of drinking. - As showed in
FIGS. 1-3 , a perspective exploded view and a stereogram showing a thermal and cold insulation bottle structure according to the present invention are disclosed. The thermal and cold insulation bottle structure, comprising: - a bottle body (1) having an integrally formed stainless steel double wall, an opening (11), an interior space (12), and a base portion (13), wherein the opening (11) having an inner wall disposed with a female thread (111);
- a lid (2) having a male thread (21) corresponding to the female thread (111) to screw on the opening (11) of the bottle body (1); and
- a removable bottom cover (3) having an expandable plug (31), a screw (32) secured to the center of the expandable plug (31), a nut (33) engaged with the screw (32), and a lever (34) connected to the nut (33), so as to allow the removable bottom cover (3) to be accommodated in the base portion (13) of the interior space (12) of the bottle body (1). The interior space (12) is for holding a beverage bottle (4), and the removable bottom cover (3) contacts a bottom (42) of the beverage bottle (4) accommodated in the interior space (12). The beverage bottle (4) is pushed toward the opening (11) of the bottle body (1) as the lever (34) is pulled, and further positioned in the interior space (12) as the lever (34) pulled back.
- Preferentially, the lid (2), or the removable bottom cover (3), or both can be made of a plastic material, and the male thread (21) of the lid (2) is made of a flexible plastic material, e.g. silicone, rubber, foam material, injecting soft material and the like. In such a case, the tightness of the whole structure can be increased when the lid (2) and the removable bottom cover (3) are respectively locked on the opening (11) and the base portion (13) of the bottle body (1), so as to enhance the thermal or cold insulation.
- Hereinafter, an exemplary embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.
- Referring to
FIGS. 1-2 , a bottle body (1) of a thermal and cold insulation bottle structure is an integrally formed stainless steel double wall including an inner wall and an outer wall. A removable bottom cover (3) is disposed on a base portion (13) of the interior space (12) of the bottle body (1), which comprises an expandable plug (31), a screw (32) secured to the center of the expandable plug (31), a nut (33) engaged with the screw (32), and a lever (34). The expandable plug (31) consists of an upper cover (311), an O-ring (312) and a lower cover (313). - In use of the thermal and cold insulation bottle structure for accommodating a beverage bottle (4), a lid (2) having a male thread (21) is first screwed on a female thread (111) disposed on an inner wall of the opening (11) of the bottle body (1), as shown in
FIG. 3 , and then, as shown inFIG. 4 , the beverage bottle (4), e.g. a beer bottle or a soft drink bottle, is placed in an interior space (12) of the base portion (13) of the bottle body (1) and pushed toward the opening (11) of the bottle body (1) until a top (41) of the beverage bottle (4) contacts the lid (2) of the thermal and cold insulation bottle structure. - Referring to
FIGS. 5-6 , the base portion (13) of the thermal and cold insulation bottle structure is provided with a removable bottom cover (3) comprising an expandable plug (31), a screw (32) secured to the center of the expandable plug (31), a nut (33) engaged with the screw (32), and a lever (34), so that the removable bottom cover (3) and the beverage bottle (4) it contacting with can be pushed toward the opening (11) of the bottle body (1) as the lever (34) is pulled and further positioned in the interior space (12) as the lever (34) is pulled back. Accordingly, the thermal and cold insulation bottle structure can prevent arbitrary movements of the beverage bottle (4) in its interior space (12) and fittingly accommodate various beverage bottles (4) with different heights. - Specifically, the expandable plug (31) consists of an upper cover (311), an O-ring (312) and a lower cover (313). The upper cover (311) and lower cover (313) are separated from each other and forming a gap for accommodating the O-ring (312) to allow the removable bottom cover (3) to move in the interior space (12) of the bottle body (1) as the lever (34) is pulled, whereas the upper cover (311) is tightly compressed with the lower cover (313) resulting in an outward protrusion of the O-ring (312) and an increased friction between the O-ring (312) and the inner wall of the bottle body (1) to allow the removable bottom cover (3) to position the beverage bottle (4) in the interior space (12) of the bottle body (1) as the lever (34) is pulled back.
- Referring to
FIG. 7 , in a state of drinking, a lid (2) having a male thread (21) is unscrewed from an opening (11) having a female thread (111), and then the removable bottom cover (3) together with the beverage bottle (4) are pushed toward the opening (11) of the bottle body (1) until a top (41) of the beverage bottle (4) is protrude from the opening (11) and a neck (43) of the beverage bottle (4) is positioned in the opening (11) of the bottle body (1). In such a case, beverage inside the beverage bottle (4) can be kept cold or hot without the need of taking out the beverage bottle (4) from the thermal and cold insulation bottle structure. - Compared with the technique available now, the present invention has the following advantages:
- 1. The present invention can directly accommodate a beverage bottle and keep an enclosed beverage bottle substantially cold or hot without the need of pouring out the beverage from the beverage bottle. Moreover, the bottle body consists of an integrally formed stainless steel double wall which prevents the use of neoprene lining.
- 2. Compared to a conventional structure of screwing a bottom cover on an outer wall of a base portion of a bottle body, the present invention is provided with a removable bottom cover inside the interior space to decrease or increase a friction between the inner wall and itself by pulling or pulling back the lever and to position the beverage bottle in the interior space. Therefore, the present invention not only prevents arbitrary movements of the beverage bottle therein but also has advantage of fittingly accommodating various beverage bottles with different heights.
- 3. The removable bottom cover of the present invention allows a beverage bottle accommodated in the interior space to move toward an opening of the bottle body by contacting a bottom of the beverage bottle, making a top of the beverage bottle protruded from the opening of the bottle body and positioned by its neck in the opening of the bottle body. Therefore, beverage inside the beverage bottle are kept cold or hot during drinking without the need of taking out the beverage bottle from the thermal and cold insulation bottle structure.
Claims (8)
1. A thermal and cold insulation bottle structure, comprising:
a bottle body having an integrally formed stainless steel double wall, an opening, an interior space, and a base portion, wherein the opening having an inner wall disposed with a female thread;
a lid having a male thread corresponding to the female thread to screw on the opening of the bottle body; and
a removable bottom cover having an expandable plug, a screw secured to the center of the expandable plug, a nut engaged with the screw, and a lever connected to the nut, so as to allow the removable bottom cover to be accommodated in the base portion of the interior space of the bottle body.
2. As the thermal and cold insulation bottle structure claimed in claim 1 , wherein the removable bottom cover contacts a bottom of a beverage bottle accommodated in the interior space, pushes the beverage bottle toward the opening of the bottle body by pulling the lever, and further positions the beverage bottle in the interior space by pulling back the lever.
3. As the thermal and cold insulation bottle structure claimed in claim 1 , wherein the expandable plug consists of an upper cover, an O-ring and a lower cover.

As the thermal and cold insulation bottle structure claimed in claim 3 , wherein the upper cover and the lower cover are separated from each other and forming a gap for accommodating the O-ring to allow the removable bottom cover to move in the interior space of the bottle body as the lever is pulled.
5. As the thermal and cold insulation bottle structure claimed in claim 3 , wherein the upper cover is tightly compressed with the lower cover resulting in an outward protrusion of the O-ring to allow the removable bottom cover to position the beverage bottle in the interior space of the bottle body as the lever is pulled back.
6. As the thermal and cold insulation bottle structure claimed in claim 1 , wherein the removable bottom cover is made of a plastic material.
7. As the thermal and cold insulation bottle structure claimed in claim 1 , wherein the lid is made of a plastic material.
8. As the thermal and cold insulation bottle structure claimed in claim 7 , wherein the male thread of the lid is made of a flexible plastic material.
