Abstract

The current invention is a bath toy holder that will hold and organized a child's bath toys. It is designed to keep children's toys organized after they play with them in the tub, and to keep toys free of the slime and mildew they collect when they cannot properly air dry. The holder has a base with handles, a drainage panel at the bottom of the chamber and a removable water reservoir that will collect water from the drying toys. The upper chamber and the reservoir are made of a clear plastic so that the toys and water level can easily be seen.

    • BACKGROUND 1. Field of the Invention
  • This invention relates to bath toy holder and storage unit and in particularly one that allows the proper drying of the toys after use.
    • 2. Description of Prior Art
  • Kids like their bath toys but it is difficult to keep children's toys organized after they play with them in the tub. They get wet and do not properly dry leading to the growth of slime and mildew when they cannot properly air dry.
  • Many current holders do not let the toys dry and they are not easy to clean.
  • There is still room for improvement in the art.
    • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • The current invention is a bath toy holder that will hold and organized a child's bath toys. It is designed to keep children's toys organized after they play with them in the tub, and to keep toys free of the slime and mildew they collect when they cannot properly air dry.
  • The holder has a rounded base forming an upper chamber, handles, a drainage panel and a removable water reservoir that will collect water from the drying toys. The upper chamber and the reservoir are made of a clear plastic so that the toys and water level can easily be seen.
  • The holder attaches to the wall, to keep out of the reach of children.
  • The removable parts are dishwasher safe and easy to clean.
  • The current invention is an improvement over the prior art.

    •  DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
  • There are a number of significant design features and improvements incorporated within the invention.
  • The current invention is an innovative bath toy holder as shown in FIGS. 1 through 7.
  • The device 1 will hold and organized a child's bath toys. It is designed to keep children's toys organized after they play with them in the tub, and to keep toys free of the slime and mildew they collect when they cannot properly air dry.
  • The holder device 1 has a rounded base 10 forming an upper chamber 50. It has a handle 20 on each side. The device 1 has a drainage panel 40 and a removable water reservoir 30 on the bottom that will collect water from the drying toys 100.
  • The base 10 is rectangular in shape with rounded corners so as to not have any sharp edges. The base 10 is opened on the top and the bottom and tapered from the top to the bottoms so that the opening on the top 50 is larger than the one on the bottom. The inside of the base 10 forms the upper chamber 50. It is this chamber 50 the holds the bath toys 100 as shown in FIG. 3. At the bottom sides of the base 10 in the preferred embodiment are connection means to connect the base 10 with the drainage basin 30. In this embodiment, it is a pair of latches 70 on the bottom sides of the base 10. A depressible button 60 is located on the corresponding top sides of the basin 30. When the depressible button 60 is depressed the basin 30 can be removed from the base 10. When extended the button 60 holds the basin 10 in place. The top edge of the basin 10 fits into the bottom edge of the base 10 to form a seal.
  • The basin 30 has is open on top and has a flat bottom so that the holder 1 can be placed on a flat surface. The basin 30 is also tapered so the top is larger than the bottom.
  • The drainage panel 40 will fit between the base 10 and the basin 30. The drainage panel 40 will fit into the bottom of the base 10 where if fits into the top of the basin 30. It will have a number of drainage holes 45 which will let the water flow from the base 10 to the basin 30. The drainage holes 45 will small enough so that the toys 100 will not go through them. Thus, holding the toys while letting the water flow through.
  • The holder 1 attaches to the wall using an attachment means like a mount 80 as shown in FIG. 2, to keep out of the reach of children.
  • The preferred dimensions are that the holder 1 is 10 inches wide at the top tapering to 8 inches at the bottom. The holder 1 would be 12 inches tall and 4 inches deep. The basin is 2 inches tall.
  • The drainage basin is detachable so the toys remain out of the way while the water is emptied.
  • The upper chamber and the reservoir are made of a clear plastic so that the toys and water level can easily be seen. The holder's 1 removable parts are dishwasher safe and easy to clean.
  • The holder 1 can be used with other items that get wet and need to be dry like combs or brushes or car cleaning equipment.
    • Operation
  • As shown in FIG. 3, the toys 100 are placed in the upper chamber 50 through the top opening of the base 10. The toys 10 drip dry with the water 35 flowing off of the toys through the drainage panel 40 into the basin 30. The basin 30 can be removed by pushing the latches 60 and the water 35 can be poured out.
    • Advantages
  • The current invention is a bath toy holder that is easy to use that dramatically reduce drying time and preserves the child's favorite toys. Children love taking their favorite toys into the tub. The problem came when bath time was over. The toys would sit on the floor of the tub, or they would be taken to the child's room where they would be tossed in a toy box or on top of other toys. The current invention solves these issues.
  • Although the present invention has been described in considerable detail with reference to certain preferred versions thereof, other versions are possible such as different tension means, bobber shapes and sizes and different colored lights. Therefore, the point and scope of the appended claims should not be limited to the description of the preferred versions contained herein.
  • As to a further discussion of the manner of usage and operation of the present invention, the same should be apparent from the above description. Accordingly, no further discussion relating to the manner of usage and operation will be provided. With respect to the above description, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of the invention, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by the present invention.
  • Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the invention. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the invention to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the invention.

That which is claimed is:
1. A holder device to comprising:
A base where the base has an open top and an open bottom connected to a basin with an open top where a drainage panel between the base and the basin.
2. A device according to claim 1 comprising:
Having an upper chamber within the base.
3. A device according to claim 1 comprising:
Having a plurality of handles attached to said base.
4. A device according to claim 1 comprising:
Having the basin be removable.
5. A device according to claim 1 comprising:
Having the base be comprised of a clear plastic.
6. A device according to claim 1 comprising:
Having the basin be comprised of a clear plastic.
7. A device according to claim 1 comprising:
Having the base be tapered.
8. A device according to claim 1 comprising:
Having the basin be tapered.
9. A device according to claim 1 comprising:
Having an attachment means.
10. A device according to claim 9 comprising:
Having the attachment means be a be a depression button and latches.
11. A device according to claim 1 comprising:
Having the drainage panel have a plurality of holes.
