Description

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention
  • The present invention relates to daily necessities and cleaning devices, and more particularly relates to a back massaging and cleaning device.
  • 2. Description of the Prior Art
  • Currently, it is more difficult to clean and massage the human back when people take showers, because it is difficult for both hands to reach the back, and the portion of the back along the spine is in the most need of cleaning. In addition, there are many acupuncture points in the spine of the human back, and the acupuncture points can be massaged to increase blood circulation, which makes people healthier. Most of the commercially available products provide a long brush and shower ball made of wood or plastic, which requires human manipulation and control with the arms and hands. Thus, there remains a need for a tool that solves the above technical problems of massaging and cleaning the back.
  • SUMMARY OF THE DISCLOSURE
  • In order to accomplish the objects of the present invention, there is provided a back massaging and cleaning device having a main body having a back plate with a first end and a second end, a first clamping block connected at right angles to the first end, and a second clamping block connected at right angles to the second end, the first clamping block having a hole extending therethrough, and the second clamping block having a groove. A connection mechanism connects the back plate to a wall of a shower or bathroom. A back massaging and cleaning rod has a fixed rod and a movable roller wheel provided on the fixed rod, the fixed rod having a first end that extends through the hole of the first clamping block, and a second end that is seated in the groove of the second clamping block. The roller wheel has an irregularly shaped cylindrical body externally made from a back cleaning material and internally made from a massaging material.

  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
  • The following detailed description is of the best presently contemplated modes of carrying out the invention. This description is not to be taken in a limiting sense, but is made merely for the purpose of illustrating general principles of embodiments of the invention. The scope of the invention is best defined by the appended claims. In certain instances, detailed descriptions of well-known devices and mechanisms are omitted so as to not obscure the description of the present invention with unnecessary detail.
  • A back massaging and cleaning device according to one embodiment of the present invention is shown in FIG. 1 to FIG. 5, and has a main body 10 and a replaceable back massaging and cleaning rod 20 connected with the main body 10. The main body 10 has a back plate 13, with opposing clamping blocks 11 and 12 that are arranged at the upper end and the lower end, respectively, of the plate 13. A hole 111 is formed in the clamping block 11, and a groove 121 is formed in the clamping block 12, with a projection 1211 provided inside the groove 121.
  • The replaceable back massaging and cleaning rod 20 has a fixed rod 21 and a movable massaging and cleaning roller wheel 22 arranged on the fixed rod 21. One end of the fixed rod 21 is inserted into the hole 111, and the other end of the fixed rod 21 is inserted into the groove 121. As shown in FIG. 1, the hole 111 and the groove 121 are arranged along the same vertical straight line or axis. The hole 111 can have a circular shape, a square shape, a quadrilateral shape, a hexagonal shape, an oval shape and the like, and the size of the hole 111 can be the same as or different from that of the groove 121. As shown in FIGS. 2, 3 and 5, the massaging and cleaning roller wheel 22 can have an irregularly shaped hollow massaging and cleaning cylindrical body, and further, the massaging and cleaning roller wheel 22 can have an irregularly shaped cylindrical body externally made from a back cleaning material and internally made from a massaging material, and can also be embodied in the form of a tubular body or a body of other shapes. The massaging and cleaning roller wheel 22 is movably fixed on the fixed rod 21 and can rotate in either direction relative to the fixed rod 21. The width of the fixed rod 21 is smaller than that of the hole 111, and smaller than that of the groove 121. The fixed rod 21 at its lower end can have an inner bore which has a size and shape that corresponds to the size and shape of the projection 1211, so that the lower end of the fixed rod 21 can be inserted into the groove 121 with the projection 1211 snugly fitted inside the bore of the fixed rod 21. The back massaging and cleaning rod 20 can also be embodied in a circular shape, a square shape, or even in oval, triangular, quadrilateral and hexagonal shapes, or other shapes.
  • The main body 10 also includes a strip-shaped back plate 13 on which one or more suction devices 131 (e.g., suction cup) are provided along its rear surface. Each suction device 131 has a suction disc 1311 which is connected via a threaded rod 1312 to a rotary knob 1313 on the other surface of the plate 13, with the threaded rod 1312 penetrating and extending through the plate 13. The height of the massaging and cleaning roller wheel 22 is smaller than the distance between the two clamping blocks 11 and 12, and the height of the upper end of the fixed rod 21 extending to the inside of the hole 111 is smaller than the height of the hole 111, and a screw cap 1111 is arranged on the hole 111. The screw cap 1111 can be made of plastic, metals or other materials. The projection 1211 can have any one of a linear, cross-shaped, triangular, circular, oval, square, quadrilateral, hexagonal structure, or other similar structures.
  • In addition, the groove 121 can have any one of a circular, square, triangular, oval, quadrilateral, hexagonal, and polygonal shape, wherein the polygonal shape may be a pentagonal shape, a heptagonal shape, an octagonal shape and the like. In the present embodiment, the groove 121 preferably has a square shaped structure, and the projection 1211 is shown as being a cross-shaped structure, so that the back cleaning rod 20 can be secured in a stable manner inside the main body and prevented from being rotated through such match and combination. As an alternative, the groove 121 can be circular-shaped, with the projection 1211 being cross-shaped.
  • During installation, the main body 10 can be fixed in a certain fixed position of the shower or bath wall depending on the height of the user and the configuration of the bath or shower enclosure. Once the desired fixing location has been selected, the user simply presses the main body 10 firmly against the wall to be secured thereto via the suction of the suction disc 1311 and the acting force of the rotary knob 1111 on the suction disc 1311. Next, the fixed rod 21 is installed by aligning the upper end of the fixed rod 21 with the hole 111, and aligning the lower end of the fixed rod 21 with the projection 1211 on the groove 121 to complete the installation. Finally, the screw cap 1111 is secured to the upper end of the fixed rod 21 at the top of the hole 111.
  • When the back massaging and cleaning device is used, shower gel is applied to the back massaging and cleaning rod 20, then the user can lean his or her back against the back cleaning material of the massaging and cleaning roller wheel 22, and the back can be easily cleaned by rotating the massaging and cleaning roller wheel 22 left and right, or by rubbing the back up and down, especially the user's spine. As a result, the difficulty of cleaning a person's back with both hands is addressed, and simultaneously, the spine is massaged so that the nerves of the spine are relieved.
  • FIG. 6 illustrates a second embodiment of the present invention, where the suction device 131 (which includes the suction disc 1311, the threaded rod 1312 and a rotary knob 1313) is replaced by a different connector, such as a Velcro™ connector 231, which has opposing Velcro™ pads 2311 placed on the rear surface of the plate 13 and a corresponding location on the bathroom or shower wall. The other elements in the second embodiment are the same as in the first embodiment, and are provided with the same numeral designations.
  • The back massaging and cleaning devices 10 provided by the present invention provide convenience in use and installation. Installation is easy in that the replaceable back massaging and cleaning rod 20 is arranged and comprises the fixed rod 21 of which one end is inserted into the hole 111 and the other end is inserted into the groove 121, and a massaging and cleaning roller wheel 22 is provided on the fixed rod 21. In addition, the back massaging and cleaning rod 20 can be replaced according to different needs, so that rods 20 with different cleaning structures can be freely selected according to the user's needs during installation.
  • The above detailed description is for the best presently contemplated modes of carrying out the invention. This description is not to be taken in a limiting sense, but is made merely for the purpose of illustrating general principles of embodiments of the invention. The scope of the invention is best defined by the appended claims. In certain instances, detailed descriptions of well-known devices, components, mechanisms and methods are omitted so as to not obscure the description of the present invention with unnecessary detail.
