Description

    BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention relates to protectors for hats. In this case a sport fitted cap cover. The main object of this invention is to provide a cover or protector of the class indicated.
  • Some men, as me, have an extensive collection of caps featuring all their favorite teams' logos upon the body of the cap. Due to the popularity of fitted caps and regularity of their use, there is a tendency for them to become spoiled, stained or damaged, due to improper storage or by the elements.
  • Many of the caps have stains or a buildup of dust and odor that cannot be removed with laundering and if washed the visor can become deformed and thus must be discarded.
  • I identified a need or a problem to be solved that promoted me into the invention processes and conceived the fitted cap cover.
  • DESCRIPTIONS
  • FIG. 1 Is a perspective view of the cover.
  • FIG. 2 Is a view of the invention as applied to a cap.
  • FIG. 3 Is a bottom view of a cap inside the cover.
  • FIG. 4 Ts a right view of the present invention and Its application.
  • FIG. 1 This product would be produced from a durable transparent plastic1 that would allow the cap to be clearly viewed when displayed4.
FIG. 2 The cover1 would fit snuggly over the cap3. This plastic cover would be like a protective shield that's would safeguard the cap from a wide array of marring substance including dirt, dust, pet hair, odor, etc.
  • In addition, it would provide protection from the elements by acting as a barrier and increasing the longevity of the head wear. This versatile product could be employed while the cap is being displayed in a bedroom, living room, office, etc. While being displayed, the cover1 will protect the cap3 from dirt or dust setting into the fabric.
  • In addition the transparent cover1 would fit snuggly over the cap to allow team logos4 to be clearly viewed. This product can also protect the baseball cap when stored, from odor or it becoming spoiled. It will keep the cap looking good and crisp as the day it was purchased and ready to be used.
  • FIG. 3 Once the cap3 is inside the cover1, it can be easily folded and stored in a luggage for traveling
  • The cover1 is built just like the shape of a baseball cap3, with each individual section fused together by heat and stitching2.
  • FIG. 4 This product could easily be positioned or removed from the cap as shown, by first inserting the visor into the cover pocket5. Thus, it could be moved from one cap to another.
  • This versatile product is being suggested because I believe it would fulfill the need for a cap that could protect the individual's investment. I envision it being of particular appeal to sports fans, children, and anyone who enjoys a nice baseball cap.
