Abstract
A vacuum assembly includes a housing that may be positioned proximate animal feces on a support surface. The housing is structured to have air urged therethrough and a bag is removably coupled to the housing. A canister is removably coupled to the housing such that the bag is contained within the canister. A motor is coupled to the housing and a fan is rotatably coupled to the motor. Thus, the motor rotates the fan when the motor is turned on. The fan urges air inwardly through the housing such that the housing may suctionally remove the animal feces from the support surface. The fan urges air outwardly through the housing such that the bag may receive the animal feces. A switch is coupled to the housing. The switch is coupled to the motor such that the switch turns the motor on and off.
Description
- The disclosure relates to vacuum devices and more particularly pertains to a new vacuum device for suctionally removing animal feces from a support surface.
- SUMMARY OF THE DISCLOSURE
- An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a housing that may be positioned proximate animal feces on a support surface. The housing is structured to have air urged therethrough and a bag is removably coupled to the housing. A canister is removably coupled to the housing such that the bag is contained within the canister. A motor is coupled to the housing and a fan is rotatably coupled to the motor. Thus, the motor rotates the fan when the motor is turned on. The fan urges air inwardly through the housing such that the housing may suctionally remove the animal feces from the support surface. The fan urges air outwardly through the housing such that the bag may receive the animal feces. A switch is coupled to the housing. The switch is coupled to the motor such that the switch turns the motor on and off.
- There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
- The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.
- The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:

FIG. 5 is a left side exploded view of an embodiment of the disclosure. - With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to
FIGS. 1 through 5 thereof, a new vacuum device embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by thereference numeral 10 will be described. - As best illustrated in
FIGS. 1 through 5 , thevacuum assembly 10 generally comprises ahousing 12 that has abody portion 14 and anozzle portion 16 and thehousing 12 is substantially hollow. Thenozzle portion 16 has adistal end 18 with respect to thebody portion 14 and thedistal end 18 is open. Thenozzle portion 16 comprises a plurality ofslidable sections 20 such that thenozzle portion 16 has a telescopically adjustable length. Thenozzle portion 16 has anouter wall 22 and theouter wall 22 flares outwardly adjacent to thedistal end 18 to define acup 24. Thecup 24 is positioned on thedistal end 18 such that thecup 24 may be positionedproximate animal feces 26. Theanimal feces 26 may be lying on asupports surface 27 and thesupport surface 27 may be ground. Theanimal feces 26 may be from a domesticated animal such as a dog or the like. Thebody portion 14 has arear end 28 and therear end 28 is open. - A
bag 30 is provided and thebag 30 is removably positioned around therear end 28. Thebag 30 is comprised of an air permeable material such as cotton or the like. Aband 32 is provided and theband 32 is positioned around thebag 30 when thebag 30 is positioned on thehousing 12. Theband 32 is comprised of a resiliently stretchable material such that theband 32 retains thebag 30 on thehousing 12. Acanister 34 is provided and thecanister 34 has arear wall 36 and aperipheral wall 38 extending away from therear wall 36. Theperipheral wall 38 has adistal edge 40 with respect to therear wall 36. Thecanister 34 is removably coupled to thehousing 12 having thedistal edge 40 of thecanister 34 abutting therear end 28 such that thebag 30 is contained within thecanister 34. - A
handle 42 is attached to thehousing 12 such that thehandle 42 may be gripped. Thehandle 42 is positioned on thebody portion 14 and thehandle 42 is arcuate. Alock 44 is coupled to thehousing 12 and thelock 44 is positioned on thebody portion 14. Thelock 44 is positioned adjacent to therear end 28 and thelock 44 engages thecanister 34 such that thelock 44 removably retains thecanister 34 on thehousing 12. Aclip 46 is coupled to thehousing 12 and theclip 46 is positioned on thebody portion 14. Theclip 46 engages clothing 48 of a user 50 thereby facilitating thehousing 12 to be stored on the user's clothing 48. - A
motor 52 is coupled to thehousing 12 and themotor 52 is positioned within thebody portion 14. Afan 54 is rotatably coupled to themotor 52 such that themotor 52 rotates thefan 54 when themotor 52 is turned on. Thefan 54 urges air inwardly through thedistal end 18 of thenozzle portion 16 such that thenozzle portion 16 may suctionally remove theanimal feces 26 from thesupport surface 27. Thefan 54 urges air outwardly through therear end 28 of thebody portion 14 such that thebag 30 may receive theanimal feces 26. - A
switch 56 is coupled to thehousing 12 and theswitch 56 is positioned on thehandle 42 such that theswitch 56 may be manipulated. Theswitch 56 is electrically coupled to themotor 52 such that theswitch 56 turns themotor 52 on and off. Apower supply 58 is coupled to thehousing 12 and thepower supply 58 is positioned within thebody portion 16. Thepower supply 58 is electrically coupled to themotor 52 and thepower supply 58 comprises at least onebattery 60. Abattery cover 62 is removably attached to thebody portion 14 and thebattery 60 is positioned beneath thebattery cover 62. - In use, the
bag 30 is attached to thehousing 12 and thecanister 34 is attached to thehousing 12. Thenozzle portion 16 is extended to a selected length thereby facilitating thedistal end 18 of thenozzle portion 16 to be positioned proximate theanimal feces 26. Theswitch 56 is manipulated such that theanimal feces 26 is sucked through thecup 24 and deposited in thebag 30. Thebag 30 is removed from thehousing 12 when theanimal feces 26 are deposited in thebag 30 and thebag 30 is disposed of. - With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
- Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
Claims (9)
1. A vacuum assembly configured to remove animal feces from a support surface, said assembly comprising:
a housing being configured to be positioned proximate animal feces on a support surface, said housing being structured to have air urged therethrough;
a bag being removably coupled to said housing;
a canister being removably coupled to said housing such that said bag is contained within said canister;
a motor being coupled to said housing;
a fan being rotatably coupled to said motor wherein said motor rotates said fan when said motor is turned on, said fan urging air inwardly through said housing wherein said housing is configured to suctionally remove the animal feces from the support surface, said fan urging air outwardly through said housing wherein said bag is configured to receive the animal feces; and
a switch being coupled to said housing, said switch being coupled to said motor such that said switch turns said motor on and off.

The assembly according to claim 1 , wherein said housing has a body portion and a nozzle portion, said housing being substantially hollow, said nozzle portion having a distal end with respect to said body portion, said distal end being open, said body portion having a rear end, said rear end being open.
3. The assembly according to claim 2 , wherein said nozzle portion comprises a plurality of slidable sections such that said nozzle portion has a telescopically adjustable length, said nozzle portion having an outer wall, said outer wall flaring outwardly adjacent to said distal end to define a cup being positioned on said distal end.
4. The assembly according to claim 1 , wherein:
said housing has a rear end; and
said canister having a rear wall and a peripheral wall extending away from said rear wall, said peripheral wall having a distal edge with respect to said rear wall, said distal edge of said canister abutting said rear end of said housing.
5. The assembly according to claim 2 , wherein a handle being attached to said housing wherein said handle is configured to be gripped, said handle being positioned on said body portion, said handle being arcuate.
6. The assembly according to claim 2 , further comprising a lock being coupled to said housing, said lock being positioned on said body portion, said lock being positioned adjacent to said rear end, said lock engaging said canister such that said lock removably retains said canister on said housing.
7. The assembly according to claim 2 , further comprising a clip being coupled to said housing, said clip being positioned on said body portion wherein said clip is configured to engage clothing of a user thereby facilitating said housing to be stored on the user's clothing.
6. The assembly according to claim 2 , further comprising a power supply being coupled to said housing, said power supply being positioned within said body portion, said power supply being electrically coupled to said motor, said power supply comprising at least one battery.
7. A vacuum assembly configured to remove animal feces from a support surface, said assembly comprising:
a housing having a body portion and a nozzle portion, said housing being substantially hollow, said nozzle portion having a distal end with respect to said body portion, said distal end being open, said nozzle portion comprising a plurality of slidable sections such that said nozzle portion has a telescopically adjustable length, said nozzle portion having an outer wall, said outer wall flaring outwardly adjacent to said distal end to define a cup being positioned on said distal end wherein said cup is configured to be positioned proximate animal feces, said body portion having a rear end, said rear end being open;
a bag being positioned around said rear end;
a canister having a rear wall and a peripheral wall extending away from said rear wall, said peripheral wall having a distal edge with respect to said rear wall, said canister being removably coupled to said housing having said distal edge of said canister abutting said rear end such that said bag is contained within said canister;
a handle being attached to said housing wherein said handle is configured to be gripped, said handle being positioned on said body portion, said handle being arcuate;
a lock being coupled to said housing, said lock being positioned on said body portion, said lock being positioned adjacent to said rear end, said lock engaging said canister such that said lock removably retains said canister on said housing;
a clip being coupled to said housing, said clip being positioned on said body portion wherein said clip is configured to engage clothing of a user thereby facilitating said housing to be stored on the user's clothing;
a motor being coupled to said housing, said motor being positioned within said body portion;
a fan being rotatably coupled to said motor wherein said motor rotates said fan when said motor is turned on, said fan urging air inwardly through said distal end of said nozzle portion wherein said nozzle portion is configured to suctionally remove the animal feces from the support surface, said fan urging air outwardly through said rear end of said body portion wherein said bag is configured to receive the animal feces;
a switch being coupled to said housing, said switch being positioned on said handle wherein said switch is configured to be manipulated, said switch being electrically coupled to said motor such that said switch turns said motor on and off; and
a power supply being coupled to said housing, said power supply being positioned within said body portion, said power supply being electrically coupled to said motor, said power supply comprising at least one battery.
