Description
- The disclosure relates to figurine devices and more particularly pertains to a new figurine device for positioning of a figurine into a desired position for facilitating placement of the figurine in amusing positions or depicting amusing situations.
- An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a formable neck wire coupling a head to an upper torso. Formable arm wires extend from the upper torso. A pair of formable torso wires couple a lower torso to the upper torso. Formable leg wires extend from the lower torso. The head, upper torso, neck wire, arm wires, lower torso, torso wires, and leg wires define a skeletal frame. A skin covers the skeletal frame such that the skin resembles a humanoid form.
- There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
- The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.
- The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:
-
FIG. 1 is a top front side perspective view of a skeletal frame of a formable figurine device according to an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 2 is a back view of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 3 is a partially exploded partial front view of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 4 is a front view of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 5 is a front view of a plurality of embodiments of the disclosure in use. - With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to
FIGS. 1 through 5 thereof, a new figurine device embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by thereference numeral 10 will be described. - As best illustrated in
FIGS. 1 through 5 , theformable figurine device 10 generally comprises ahead 12 and anupper torso 14. Thehead 12 is spherical and theupper torso 14 is conoid. Aneck wire 16 has afirst end 18 coupled to thehead 12 and asecond end 20 coupled to theupper torso 14. Theneck wire 16 may be secured to each of thehead 12 and theupper torso 14 by insertion into each of thehead 12 andupper torso 14 secured byglue 22 as shown inFIG. 3 . Theneck wire 16 is formable wherein thehead 12 is adjustably positionable relative to theupper torso 14. - Each of a pair of
arm wires 24 is coupled to and extends from an associated side 26 of theupper torso 14. Each of thearm wires 24 is formable. Eacharm wire 24 has aproximal end 28 relative to theupper torso 14 inserted into arespective end 30 of aconduit 32 extending laterally through theupper torso 14 wherein thearm wires 24 are laterally aligned across theupper torso 14. Alower torso 36 has a substantially isosceles triangular axialcross-sectional shape 38.Corners 40 of the triangular axialcross-sectional shape 38 are rounded andequal sides 42 of the isosceles triangularaxial cross-sectional shape 38 are convex. Each of a pair oftorso wires 44 is coupled to and extends between theupper torso 14 and thelower torso 36. Each of thetorso wires 44 is secured similarly to theneck wire 16 and is formable wherein theupper torso 14 is adjustably positionable relative to thelower torso 36. Theupper torso 14 has aplanar bottom surface 48 facing thelower torso 36. Thelower torso 36 similarly has a planarupper surface 50 facing theupper torso 14. - Each of a pair of
leg wires 52 is coupled to and extends from thelower torso 36. Eachleg wire 52 is formable and connected to thelower torso 36 in similar manner as theneck wire 16 is coupled to thehead 12 as described above. A respectivedistal section 54 of eachleg wire 52 is bent relative to amain section 56 of theleg wire 52. - Each of a plurality of
finger wires 58 is coupled to and extends from adistal end 60 of an associated one of thearm wires 24 relative to theupper torso 14. Thefinger wires 58 may be arranged to define two sets of fivefinger wires 58. Thehead 12, theupper torso 14, theneck wire 16, the pair ofarm wires 24, thelower torso 36, the pair oftorso wires 44 , thefinger wires 58 , and the pair ofleg wires 52 define askeletal frame 64. Eachdistal section 54 defines afoot 58 of theskeletal frame 64. Askin 66 covers theskeletal frame 64 such that theskin 66 resembles an elfin humanoid form. Theskin 66 comprises amain body 68 covering theupper torso 14 andlower torso 36. The skin also comprisesarms 70 covering thearm wires 24,legs 72 covering themain sections 56 of theleg wires 52,feet 74 covering thedistal sections 54 of theleg wires 52, andfingers 76 coveringrespective finger wires 58. Theskin 66 may also provide aface 78 andhat 80. - In use, the
device 10 provides for a elfin humanoid figurine which is formable allowing for various postures and positions. Thedevice 10 may be formed as desired and positioned in a desired location with or without additional props or decorations. A total height of theskin 66 covering theskeletal frame 64 is between 70 centimeters and 100 centimeters. Thedevice 10 may also be provided with only atop half 82 or only abottom half 84 allowing for positioning of thebottom half 84 andtop half 82 in positions or locations in which having a full body shape would be impossible or problematic, such as extending into or out of a window, into a chimney, or the like. - With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
- Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
