Description
- 1. Technical Field
- The present invention relates to a bag, and more particularly to a zippered bag.
- 2. Description of Related Art
- In order to keep the goods carried on the body safe, the bags usually are provided with a device to close an opening thereof, such as buckle, Velcro, zipper, and so on. Zipper is the commonest device to close and open the opening of the bag.
- The conventional bag is provided with the zipper on a side, usually the top side, thereof. When the zipper is unzipped, the opening of the bag is opened, and the user may put goods in the bag. When a size of a good is slightly smaller than the bag, the opening would be not wide enough for the good although the good may be received in the bag.
- Besides, the bag with a big opening would be popular to user to put goods in the bag, or take goods out. Some bags are provided with a zipper extending on two or more sides of the bag. Such bag has a big opening as well as a long zipper, however, it could not prevent the zipper from being damaged when the user widen the opening of the bag.
- In view of the above, the primary objective of the present invention is to provide a zippered bag, which has a big opening for access of goods, and may protect the zipper when the user is widen the opening.
- In order to achieve the objective of the present invention, the present invention provides a zippered bag including a bag member and a zipper. The bag member has a first side, a second side, which is connected to the first side, and an opening, which extends from the first side to the second side. The zipper is provided on the bag member at an edge of the opening, wherein the zipper has a first section on the first side and a second section on the second side; and an end of the first section is closer to a joining point of the first section and the second section than a middle portion of the first section.
- With such design, the bag member would have a big opening extending from the first side to the second side. Beside, an end of the zipper is closer to the joining point of the first and the second sections than a middle portion of the first section, which means that the direction changes in the first section. It could prevent the zipper from being damaged while the opening is being widened.
- The present invention will be best understood by referring to the following detailed description of some illustrative embodiments in conjunction with the accompanying drawings, in which
-
FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a first preferred embodiment of the present invention, showing the zipper on the backpack; -
FIG. 2 is a perspective view of a second preferred embodiment of the present invention, showing the zipper on the tube bag; and -
FIG. 3 is a perspective view of a third preferred embodiment of the present invention, showing the second type of the zipper on the tube bag. -
FIG. 1 shows a zippered bag 1 of the first preferred embodiment of the present invention, which is a backpack, including abag member 10 and azipper 12. - The
bag member 10 has afirs side 10 a and asecond side 10 b, and thefirst side 10 a is connected to thesecond side 10 b. Thebag member 10 is provided with an opening extending from thefirst side 10 a to thesecond side 10 b. - The
zipper 12 is provided on thebag member 10 at an edge of the opening. Thezipper 12 has afirst section 12 b on thefirst side 10 a, and asecond section 12 d on thesecond side 10 b. Thezipper 12 has anend 12 a on thefirst side 10 a, and a joiningpoint 12 d, which is the point where thefirst section 12 b is connected to thesecond section 12 d. Theend 12 a of thefirst section 12 b is closer to the joiningpoint 12 d than a middle portion of thefirst section 12 b. In other words, thefirst section 12 b of thezipper 12 goes in a circular direction, and thesecond section 12 d is straight. - The zippered bag 1 of the first preferred embodiment has a big opening. When the
first section 12 b is unzipped, a portion of thefirst side 10 a, within thefirst second 12 b, could be flipped open to access small goods. When both thefirst second 12 b and thesecond section 12 d are unzipped, it could access large goods through the entire opening. It is noted that thefirst section 12 b of thezipper 12 may go in any direction other than circular direction. -
FIG. 2 shows a zippered bag 2 of the second preferred embodiment of the present invention, which is a tube bag, including abag member 20 and azipper 22. Thezipper 22 has a circularfirst section 22 a on afirst side 20 a of thebag member 20, and a straight section on a second side of thebag member 20. The same as above, thefirst section 22 a of thezipper 22 may go in any direction other than circular direction. The zippers of above embodiments may provide a big opening to access large goods. -
FIG. 3 shows a zipperedbag 3 of the third preferred embodiment of the present invention, which is a tube bag as well, including abag member 30 and azipper 32. Thebag member 30 has afirst side 30 a, asecond side 30 b, and athird side 30 c, wherein thefirst side 30 a is connected to thesecond side 30 b, thesecond side 30 b is connected to thethird side 30 c, but thefirst side 30 a is not connected to thethird side 30 c. - The
zipper 32 extends from thefirst side 30 a, through thesecond side 30 b, to thethird side 30 c. Thezipper 32 has afirst section 32 a on thefirst side 30 a, asecond section 32 c on thesecond side 30 b, and athird section 32 e on thethird side 30 c. An end of thefirst section 32 a is closer to a joiningpoint 32 b, which is the point where thefirst section 32 a is connected to thesecond section 32 c, than a middle portion of thefirst section 32 a, and anend 32 f of thethird section 32 e is closer to ajoining point 32 d, which is the point where thesecond section 32 c is connected to thethird section 32 e, than a middle portion of thethird section 32 e. Thefirst section 32 a and thethird section 32 c go in a circular direction, and thesecond section 32 c is straight. - When any two or more sections of the
zipper 32 are unzipped, it could access large goods through the opening. - The
zipper 32 is provided with twosliders 321 to unzip thezipper 32 in both directions. For example, in a condition of both of thesliders 321 are at the joiningpoint 32 b of thefirst second 32 a and thesecond section 32 c, the opening on thefirst side 30 a is opened when theslider 321 is drawn toward the end of thefirst side 30 a, and the opening on thesecond side 30 b is opened when theother slider 321 is drawn toward the other end of thesecond side 30 b. - It must be pointed out that the embodiments described above are only some preferred embodiments of the present invention. All equivalent structures which employ the concepts disclosed in this specification and the appended claims should fall within the scope of the present invention.
