Abstract
An angled cushioning structure for packaging includes a cushioning body, a first side plate and a second side plate. The cushioning body includes a bending line , which includes a plurality of connecting sections and a plurality of protruding cut sections arranged at an interval. The first and second side plates are connected to two opposite sides of the cushioning body, respectively. The first and second side plates are bent towards the cushioning body to become overlapped, and the bending line on the cushioning body is bent. Thus, a position at which the cushioning body corresponds to each protruding cut section forms an assembly space for locking and fastening the first or second fastening portion therein. The cushioning body is caused to have a bending angle after the first and second fastening portions are locked and fastened in the assembly space.
Description
- The present invention relates to an angle cushioning structure for packaging, and particularly to an angle cushioning structure for packaging formed through bending, overlapping, locking and fastening means.
- Along with the precision trend of technology products, in order to prevent damages caused by impacts during a transportation process of products, many manufacturers and industrialists adopt cushioning materials for preventing impacts during packaging and transportation processes. In current applications, an angled cushioning structure is frequently placed at corner positions of an object to be transported. However, current angled cushioning structures not only have timing consuming manufacturing processes but also occupy large spaces.
- For example, the Taiwan Patent Publication No. 390340 discloses “Packaging Angled Paper Formed by Pulp”. The angled paper in the above disclosure is L-shaped angled paper formed from drying pulp poured into a mold. The process of drying and parching the pulp in the mold into the L-shaped angled paper requires a long waiting period. Further, the formed L-shaped angled paper is an inflexible structure having a fixed form, and cannot be stored by a flatly stacked means, such that excessive storage spaces may be occupied for storage while the transportation process of the L-shaped angled paper is also disfavored. For another example, the Taiwan Patent Publication No. 516507 discloses “Improved Cardboard Corner Protecting Structure”. The above disclosure involves multiple cardboards adhered to one another to form a multilayer paper plate in advance, and the paper plates are stacked on one another to form an integral structure. An enclosing paper sheet is used to enclose the above integral multilayer structure, which is eventually pressed by a mold into an L-shaped protective angled paper structure. However, such conventional angled paper structure also needs to be pressed by a mold in order to form an L-shaped protective angled paper structure. Thus, this disclosure similarly consumes a large amount of time, and the formed L-shaped angled paper is an inflexible structure having a fixed form, and cannot be stored by a flatly stacked means, such that excessive storage spaces may be occupied for storage while the transportation process of the L-shaped angled paper is also disfavored.
- The primary object of the present invention is to solve the issue of having a time consuming manufacturing process of a conventional angled cushioning structure.
- The secondary object of the present invention is to solve the issue of storage and transportation complications of a conventional angled cushioning structure.
- To achieve the above objects, the present invention provides an angled cushioning structure for packaging. The angled cushioning structure for packaging includes a cushioning body, a first side plate and a second side plate. The cushioning body includes a bending line connecting two opposite sides of the cushioning body. The bending line includes a plurality of connecting sections and a plurality of protruding cut sections arranged at an interval. Openings of two of the protruding cut sections are in different directions. The first side plate and the second side plate are connected to two corresponding sides of the cushioning body parallel to the bending line, respectively. The first side plate includes a first fastening portion, which is disposed in a protruding manner at one side of the first side plate away from the cushioning body and disposed correspondingly to one of the protruding cut sections. The second side plate includes a second fastening portion, which is disposed in a protruding manner at one side of the second side plate away from the cushioning body, and is disposed correspondingly to one of the protruding cut sections. When the first side plate and the second side plate are bent towards the cushioning body and become overlapped, the bending line on the cushioning body is bent, such that the cushioning body forms an assembly space at a position corresponding to each protruding cut section to allow the first fastening portion or the second fastening portion to be locked and fastened in the assembly space. When the first fastening portion and the second fastening portion are locked and fastened in the assembly space, the cushioning body is caused to have a bending angle.
- In one embodiment, the first side plate includes a first abutting section, which is disposed in a protruding manner at one side of the first side plate away from the cushioning body and connected to the first fastening portion. After the first side plate is bent towards the cushioning body, the first abutting section abuts against the cushioning body.
- In one embodiment, a distance by which the first fastening portion protrudes out of the first side plate is greater than a distance by which the first abutting portion protrudes out of the first side plate.
- In one embodiment, the second side plate includes a second abutting portion, which is disposed in a protruding manner at one side of the second side plate away from the cushioning body and connected to the second fastening portion. After the second side plate is bent towards the cushioning body, the second abutting section abuts against the cushioning body.
- In one embodiment, a distance by which the second fastening portion protrudes out of the second side plate is greater than a distance by which the second abutting portion protrudes out of the second side plate.
- In one embodiment, the first fastening portion includes a inclined surface at one end away from the cushioning body, and the second fastening portion includes the inclined surface at one end away from the cushioning body.
- In one embodiment, between surfaces of the first fastening portion and the first side plate is a drop, and between surfaces of the second fastening portion and the second side plate is also the drop.
- In one embodiment, the cushioning body, the first side plate and the second side plate are a formed integral. In one embodiment, the connecting sections on the bending line are in a semi-detached form after having been cut, and the protruding cut sections are in a fully cut form.
- In one embodiment, the first side plate is connected to the cushioning body by a first bending line, and the second side plate is connected to the cushioning body by a second bending line.
- In one embodiment, the angled cushioning structure for packaging includes a plurality of connecting adhesive pads for connecting the first side plate or the second side plate to the cushioning body.
- In one embodiment, a total width of the first side plate and the second side plate is smaller than a width of the cushioning body.
- Through the above technical solutions, the present invention provides following advantages compared to the prior art.
- First of all, in the implementation process of the structure of the present invention, by bending the first side plate and the second side plate towards the cushioning body and then bending the cushioning body, the first fastening portion of the first side plate and the second connecting portion of the second side plate are caused to lock in the assembly space of the cushioning body to form the angled cushioning structure for packaging. Thus, the issue of having a time consuming manufacturing process of the conventional angled cushioning structure is solved.
- Secondly, the structure of the present invention may be stored in a flat form after having been manufactured, hence solving the issue of storage and transportation complications of the conventional angled cushioning structure.

FIG. 1 , an angled cushioning structure for packaging of the present invention is made from a cushioning plate material. For example, the plate material may be corrugated paper, a plastic material, or other materials having appropriate rigidness. The angle cushioning structure for packaging includes acushioning body 1, afirst side plate 2 and asecond side plate 3. Thecushioning body 1 includes abending line 11 connecting two opposite sides of thecushioning body 1. Thebending line 11 includes a plurality of connectingsections 111 and a plurality of protrudingcut sections 115 arranged at an interval. Further, in one embodiment of the present invention, using a cutting depth of a cutting blade, the connectingsections 111 on thebending line 11 may appear as semi-detached, and the protrudingcut sections 115 may appear as fully detached. In one embodiment of the present invention, for example but not limited to, the protrudingcut section 115 may be designed to have U-shaped, triangular, zigzagged, or arched contours. To more clearly explain the present invention, these connectingsections 111 are defined as a first connectingsection 112, a second connectingsection 113 and a third connectingsection 114. Further, these protrudingcut sections 115 are defined as a first protrudingcut section 116 and a second protrudingcut section 117. In the embodiment, opens of the first protrudingcut section 116 and the second protruding cutsection 117 are designed to have different directions. For example, referring toFIG. 1 , the opening of the first protrudingcut section 116 faces thesecond side plate 3, and the opening of the second protruding cutsection 117 faces thefirst side plate 2. The order of these sections on thebending line 11 is described in detail below. Regarding one end of thecushioning body 1 as a starting point, on thebending line 11 are sequentially the first connectingsection 112, the first protrudingcut section 116, the second connectingsection 113, the second protruding cutsection 117 and the third connectingsection 114, and so forth. When thecushioning body 1 is bent along the bendingline 11, the position corresponding to the first protrudingcut section 116 forms afirst protrusion 118 that protrudes relatively to thebending line 11 and towards thefirst side plate 2, and the position corresponding to the second protruding cutsection 117 forms asecond protrusion 119 that protrudes towards thesecond side plate 3. However, a hollow is formed at the position of the first protrudingcut section 116 to provide afirst assembly space 12, and a hollow is formed at the position of the second protruding cutsection 117 to provide asecond assembly space 13. - In one embodiment, the
first side plate 2 and thesecond side plate 3 are connected to two opposite sides of thecushioning body 1 parallel to thebending line 11. Thefirst side plate 2 includes afirst fastening portion 21. Thefirst fastening portion 21 is disposed in a protruding manner at one side of thefirst side plate 2 away from thecushioning body 1, and is disposed correspondingly to the second protruding cutsection 117. Thefirst side plate 2 may further include a first abuttingportion 22. The first abuttingportion 22 is disposed in a protruding manner at one side of thefirst side plate 2 away from thecushioning body 1, and is connected to thefirst fastening portion 21. Thefirst fastening portion 21 abuts against thecushioning body 1 when thefirst side plate 2 is bent towards the cushioningbody 1. In one embodiment, a distance by which the first abuttingportion 22 protrudes out of thefirst side plate 2 is smaller than a distance by which thefirst fastening portion 21 protrudes out of thefirst side plate 2. Further, thesecond side plate 3 includes asecond fastening portion 31. Thesecond fastening portion 31 is disposed at a protruding manner at one side of thesecond side plate 3 away from thecushioning body 1, and is disposed correspondingly to the first protrudingcut section 116. Thesecond side plate 3 further includes a second abuttingportion 32. The second abuttingportion 32 is disposed in a protruding manner at one side of thesecond side plate 3 away from thecushioning body 1, and is connected to thesecond fastening portion 31. The second abuttingportion 32 abuts against thecushioning body 1 after thesecond side plate 3 is bent towards the cushioningbody 1. Further, a distance by which the second abuttingportion 32 protrudes out of thesecond side plate 3 is smaller than a distance by which thesecond fastening portion 31 protrudes out of thesecond side plate 3. - In one embodiment, the
cushioning body 1, thefirst side plate 2 and thesecond side plate 3 are a formed integral. Between thefirst side plate 2 and thecushioning body 1 is afirst bending line 23, and between thesecond side plate 3 and thecushioning body 1 is asecond bending line 33. Thus, thefirst side plate 2 and thesecond side plate 3 are allowed to bend relatively to thecushioning body 1 along thefirst bending line 23 and thesecond bending line 33, respectively. - To increase the smoothness of the
first side plate 2 and thesecond side plate 3 bending relatively to thecushioning body 1, thefirst bending line 23 and thesecond bending line 33 may be caused to appear as semi-detached through setting a cutting depth of a cutter blade in a manufacturing process. In addition to the above embodiments, in another embodiment, thecushioning body 1, thefirst side plate 2 and thesecond side plate 3 are individually formed, and thefirst side plate 2 and thesecond side plate 3 are attached to thecushioning body 1 using a plurality of connecting adhesive pads after having been manufactured. - In one embodiment, a total width of the
first side plate 2 and thesecond side plate 3 is smaller than a width of thecushioning body 1, as shown inFIG. 6 . As such, when thefirst side plate 2 and thesecond side plate 3 are bent towards the cushioningbody 1 and become overlapped, between thefirst side plate 2 an thesecond side plate 3 is a gap. The gap prevents thefirst side plate 2 and thesecond side plate 3 from forming excessive intervention during the process of bending thecushioning body 1 along the bendingline 11, thereby facilitating the application of the present invention. - Referring to
FIG. 1 toFIG. 7 , the implementation process of the angled cushioning structure for packaging of the present invention is given in detail below. As shown inFIG. 1 , the angled cushioning structure for packaging of the present invention is a flat pattern when not in use. To apply the angled cushioning structure for packaging of the present invention for packaging, a user is only required to bend thefirst side plate 2 along thefirst bending line 23 towards the cushioningbody 1, and to bend thesecond side plate 3 along thesecond bending line 33 towards the cushioningbody 1, as shown inFIG. 4 . Thus, thefirst side plate 2 is overlapped on thecushioning body 1, such that eachfirst fastening portion 21 is correspondingly overlapped at the second protruding cutsection 117, as shown inFIG. 5 . The user may then bend thesecond side plate 3 to overlap thesecond side plate 3 on thecushioning body 1, such that eachsecond fastening portion 31 is correspondingly overlapped at the first protrudingcut section 116, as shown inFIG. 6 . The user may next bend thebending line 11 of thecushioning body 1 to cause eachfirst fastening portion 21 to correspondingly lock and fasten in thesecond assembly space 13 of the second protruding cutsection 117, and eachsecond fastening portion 31 to correspondingly lock and fasten in thefirst assembly space 12 of the first protrudingcut section 116, as the locked and fastened configuration shown inFIG. 3 . The completed angled cushioning structure for packaging has a bendingangle 14, as shown inFIG. 7 . Accordingly, after the bending process, the present invention is capable of reliably attaching in a non-fixed manner at an angled position of an object to be packaged by the bendingangle 14. - Referring to
FIG. 8 , in one embodiment, thefirst fastening portion 21 includes aninclined surface 211 at one end away from thecushioning body 1, and thesecond fastening portion 31 similarly includes the inclined surface at one end away from thecushioning body 1. Thus, after thefirst side plate 2 is bent towards the cushioningbody 1 and thebending line 11 of thecushioning body 1 is bent, theinclined surface 211 of thefirst fastening portion 21 allows thefirst fastening portion 21 of thefirst side plate 2 to be easily locked and fastened in thesecond assembly space 13. Theinclined surface 211 of thesecond fastening portion 31 has the same effect, and such details shall be omitted herein. In addition to the above embodiments, according to the embodiment of the present invention disclosed inFIG. 9 , adrop 212 is present between surfaces of thefirst fastening portion 21 and thefirst side plate 2, and thedrop 212 may also be present between surfaces of thesecond fastening portion 31 and thesecond side plate 3. After thefirst side plate 2 is bent towards the cushioningbody 1 by bending thebending line 11 of thecushioning body 1, thedrop 212 between thefirst fastening portion 21 and thefirst side plate 2 allows thefirst fastening portion 21 of thefirst side plate 2 to be easily locked and fastened in thesecond assembly space 13. It should be noted that, the disclosed embodiments of the present invention are examples for explaining the present invention, and are not to be construed as limitations to the present invention.
Claims (12)
1. An angled cushioning structure for packaging, comprising:
a cushioning body, comprising a bending line connecting two opposite sides of the cushioning body, the bending line comprising a plurality of connecting sections and a plurality of protruding cut sections arranged at an interval, openings of two of the protruding cut sections being in different directions; and
a first side plate and a second side plate, connected to two corresponding sides of the cushioning body parallel to the bending line, respectively, the first side plate comprising a first fastening portion disposed in a protruding manner at one side of the first side plate away from the cushioning body and disposed correspondingly to one of the protruding cut sections, the second side plate comprising a second fastening portion disposed in a protruding manner at one side of the second side plate away from the cushioning body and disposed correspondingly to one of the protruding cut sections;
wherein, when the first side plate and the second side plate are bent towards the cushioning body to become overlapped, the bending line on the cushioning body is bent to cause a position at which the cushioning body corresponds to each protruding cut section to form an assembly space for locking and fastening the first fastening portion or the second fastening portion therein, and the cushioning body is caused to have a bending angle after the first fastening portion and the second fastening portion are locked and fastened in the assembly space.
2. The angled cushioning structure for packaging of claim 1 , wherein the first side plate comprises a first abutting section, which is disposed in a protruding manner at one side of the first side plate away from the cushioning body and connected to the first fastening portion, and abuts against the cushioning body when the first side plate is bent towards the cushioning body.
3. The angled cushioning structure for packaging of claim 2 , wherein a distance by which the first protruding portion protrudes out of the first side plate is greater than a distance by which the first abutting portion protrudes out of the first side plate.
4. The angled cushioning structure for packaging of claim 2 , wherein the second side plate comprises a first abutting section, which is disposed in a protruding manner at one side of the second side plate away from the cushioning body and connected to the second fastening portion, and abuts against the cushioning body when the second side plate is bent towards the cushioning body.
5. The angled cushioning structure for packaging of claim 4 , wherein a distance by which second protruding portion protrudes out of the second side plate is greater than a distance by which the second abutting portion protrudes out of the second side plate.
6. The angled cushioning structure for packaging of claim 1 , wherein the first fastening portion comprises an inclined surface at the end away from the cushioning body, and the second fastening portion comprises the inclined surface at the end away from the cushioning body.
7. The angled cushioning structure for packaging of claim 1 , wherein between surfaces of the first fastening portion and the first side plate is a drop, and between surfaces of the second fastening portion and the second side plate is the drop.
8. The angled cushioning structure for packaging of claim 1 , wherein the cushioning body, the first side plate and the second side plate are a formed integral.
9. The angled cushioning structure for packaging of claim 1 , wherein the connecting sections on the bending line are in a semi-detached form after having been cut, and the protruding cut sections are in a fully detached form.
10. The angled cushioning structure for packaging of claim 8 , wherein the first side plate is connected to the cushioning body by a first bending line, and the second side plate is connected to the cushioning body by a second bending line.
11. The angled cushioning structure for packaging of claim 1 , further comprising a plurality of connecting adhesive pads for connecting the first side plate or the second side plate to the cushioning body.
12. The angled cushioning structure for packaging of claim 1 , wherein a total width of the first side plate and the second side plate is smaller than a width of the cushioning body.
