The hand knitting aid includes: a main body which is formed in the form of a plate; a fixing portion which is formed on one upper portion of the main body and fixes one end of yarn for a band accessory; a holder which is formed on one lower side portion of the main body and spaced from the fixing portion and aligns and fixes the other end of the yarn for a band accessory in accordance with a pattern of the band accessory; and an elastic pressing portion which elastically presses the holder and provides a constant tension to the yarn for a band accessory.
Description
- The present invention relates to a hand knitting aid which fixes each yarn in such a manner as to maintain a constant tension of the yarn in doing hand knitting on an accessory like a wish bracelet, and thus, prevents the yarns from being interfered with each other and being tangled with each other, thereby making it easier to knit by hand.
- Generally, hand knitting is to manufacture a band accessory for human body such as a necklace, a bracelet, a belt, etc., by twisting or braiding thread in a certain shape or form by using fingers without using a knitting needle.
- In particular, misanga bracelet, etc., which is recently in vogue, is a representative hand knitted band accessory and is known to be derived from the fact that Brazilian soccer players take part in a game with their arms wound with thread to pray for victory. The misanga bracelet has a meaning that when the misanga bracelet is worn and cut itself, wishes are come true. For this reason, the misanga bracelet is called a wish bracelet.
- The misanga bracelet is manufactured by twisting or braiding colored thread (hereafter, referred to as yarn) like cross-stitch thread. The yarn may be braided in the form of four lines, i.e., in the easiest form. When the misanga bracelet is required to have a larger width or a particular pattern, more yarn is added and is twisted or braided.
- In general, even in the case of braiding in the form of four lines, one ends of the yarns are tied and fixed to one side, and then the yarns are braided with being somewhat pulled, and then have a certain length. When a variety of patterns having a wider area are intended to be added, a larger number of yarns are added and arranged in order in consideration of the patterns, and then fixed.
- In this case, there is a requirement for a process in which the yarns should maintain a constant tension among them and should be arranged in such a way as to be easily identified and interference among the yarns is minimized. For the purpose of supporting the process, a hand knitting aid is generally used.
- An existing aid is formed in the form of a plate and has a fixing hole for simply tying and fixing one end of the yarn and a fixing groove for fixing the other end of the yarn. The fixing groove is formed on the opposite side to the fixing hole.
- However, in this case, the tension may not be maintained constant by simply putting the yarn into the fixing groove. When the hand knitting is stopped for a while, the tension is not maintained constant, and thus, an aesthetic sense is reduced, for example, a desired pattern is not created or is not uniform, and besides, knitting efficiency is degraded.
- Also, when the hand knitting is stopped for a while, the used yarns may be tangled with each other and the yarns may be hereby interfered with each other, so that the knitting efficiency is more degraded and it is inconvenient to start the hand knitting again.
- The object of the present invention is to provide a hand knitting aid which fixes each yarn in such a manner as to maintain a constant tension of the yarn in doing hand knitting on a band accessory like a wish bracelet, and thus, prevents the yarns from being interfered with each other and being tangled with each other, thereby making it easier to knit by hand and efficiently performing the hand knitting.
- To accomplish the above object, the present invention provides an aid for doing hand knitting on a band accessory.
- Also, it is desirable that the fixing portion should be comprised of a fixing plate which is coupled to the main body and has a fitting groove formed therein in a longitudinal direction thereof, and should be comprised of an elastic clip which is coupled to the fitting groove of the fixing plate and has a catching portion protruding from the central portion of the elastic clip.
- Also, it is desirable that the holder should be formed by forming a plurality of yarn fixing blocks in parallel by means of a shaft and the yarn should be fitted and fixed among the yarn fixing blocks. It is desirable that an inclined plane should be formed such that a portion of the yarn fixing block, to which the yarn is started to be fitted, is formed relatively lower than other portions.
- Also, it is desirable that the elastic pressing portion should be formed on both ends of the parallel formed yarn fixing block, should have a compression spring formed therein, and should provide an elastic force to both end sides of the yarn fixing block, so that the yarn fixing block moves about the shaft in accordance with the size of the elastic force.
- Also, it is desirable that a guide groove should be formed within the elastic pressing portion and the compression spring should be inserted and fixed to the inside of the guide groove and a transfer plate should be formed by contact between one end of the compression spring and one side of the yarn fixing block. The elastic pressing portion is screw-coupled to the main body.
- Meanwhile, it is desirable that a scale capable of measuring the length of the band accessory should be further formed on the front side of the main body. It is desirable that a suction plate should be further formed on the back side of the main body. It is desirable that the suction plate should have a catching portion formed on an upper portion thereof and be inserted to an insertion hole formed in the main body, and thus, be coupled attachably and detachably to the main body.
- Also, it is desirable that any one of or at least two of a series of numbers, alphabet, engraved marks, and symbols should be mixed and displayed on the top surface of the yarn fixing block.
- According to the technical solution of the present invention, the yarn can be fitted and fixed and pulled out rapidly and easily in a repeating manner and a constant tension of the yarn is maintained when the yarn is fixed, so that it is possible to minimize the interference among the yarns, to improve the uniformity of the pattern and quality by maintaining a constant tension of the yarn, and to produce high-quality hand knitted goods.

The hand knitting aid largely includes a
main body 100 which is formed in the form of a plate; afixing portion 200 which is formed on one upper portion of themain body 100 and fixes one end ofyarn 10 for a band accessory; aholder 300 which is formed on one lower side portion of themain body 100 and aligns and fixes the other end of theyarn 10 for a band accessory in accordance with a pattern of the band accessory; and an elasticpressing portion 400 which elastically presses theholder 300 and provides a constant tension to theyarn 10 for a band accessory. - First, the
main body 100 of the hand knitting aid according to the embodiment of the present invention is formed in the form of a plate and has an appropriate shape in consideration of the length or width of the band accessory. Also, themain body 100 is formed to have a quadrangular shape. The material of themain body 100 includes paste board, plastic, wood, etc., and is appropriately changed in consideration of a knitting environment or the size or shape of the band accessory, etc. - Meanwhile, it is desirable that a
scale 110 capable of measuring the length of the band accessory should be further formed on the front side of themain body 100. This intends to perform the hand knitting as much as a required length of the band accessory while braiding theyarn 10. - Also, a
suction plate 120 is further formed on the back side of themain body 100 and is fixed to a separate work table, so that themain body 100 is prevented from moving, and thus, the hand knitting is more easily performed. - It is desirable that the
suction plate 120 should have a catchingportion 121 formed on an upper portion thereof and be inserted to aninsertion hole 130 formed in themain body 100, and thus, be coupled attachably and detachably to themain body 100. - The
fixing portion 200 is formed on one upper portion of themain body 100 and fixes one end of theyarn 10 for a band accessory. - In general, after the
yarns 10 having a color to be used are selected and evened side by side, one ends of theyarns 10 are knotted. Then, theyarns 10 are selected and braided in one direction in consideration of the pattern, so that an accessory like a wish bracelet is manufactured. - In this case, if the knotted ends are fixed to a certain point, the hand knitting can be efficiently performed. The
fixing portion 200 performs such a function. - Specifically, the
fixing portion 200 includes afixing plate 210 which is coupled to themain body 100 and has a fitting groove 211 formed therein in a longitudinal direction thereof and an elastic clip 220 which is coupled to the fitting groove 211 of thefixing plate 210 and has a catchingportion 221 protruding from the central portion of the elastic clip. - As shown in
FIG. 1 , thefixing plate 210 is formed to have a quadrangular shape and is fixed and coupled to themain body 100. The upwardly convex fitting groove 211 is formed in the center of thefixing plate 210 by performing a bending process on thefixing plate 210 itself in a longitudinal direction (a direction perpendicular to the direction of the hand knitting). - The elastic clip 220 is coupled to the fitting groove 211. The elastic clip 220 is formed in the form of a rectangular frame formed longer than the length of the
fixing plate 210. The longer side of the elastic clip 220 is fitted in the fitting groove 211, and the elastic clip 220 is coupled to themain body 100 in the form of a clip, and then is restored to and released from themain body 100 by an elastic force. - Also, the protruding catching
portion 221 is formed the central portion of the elastic clip 220. That is, the elastic clip 220 is formed to have a quadrangular frame shape by bending a thin rod made of iron, stainless steel, etc. The catchingportion 221 is formed to be bent in such a manner as to protrude upward from a side of themain body 100. - As a result, the one end of the
yarn 10 for a band accessory is caught and fixed to the catchingportion 221 or is inserted into the elastic clip 220. Therefore, the hand knitting can be easily performed. - Besides, the
holder 300 is formed on one lower side portion of themain body 100 and spaced from the fixingportion 200 and aligns and fixes the other end of theyarn 10 for a band accessory in accordance with the pattern of the band accessory. - That is, the
holder 300 fixes the one end of theyarn 10 for a band accessory by the fixingportion 200, and then, in accordance with the colors of theyarns 10, classifies a plurality of theyarns 10 selected according to the pattern of the band accessory and fixes. When the order of braiding theyarns 10 is determined according to the pattern of the band accessory, the correspondingyarn 10 is pulled out from theholder 300 and is braided. - Specifically, the
holder 300 is formed by forming a plurality ofyarn fixing blocks 320 in parallel by means of ashaft 310, and theyarn 10 is fitted and fixed among the yarn fixing blocks 320. - That is, the plurality of
yarn fixing blocks 320 are disposed in parallel, and the other end of theyarn 10 is fitted and fixed among the yarn fixing blocks 320 in an interference fit manner. Then, necessary yarns 10 are pulled out according to the pattern, and the other end of theyarn 10 is fitted and fixed again. This process is performed in a repeating manner. - Therefore, the
yarn 10 should be easily fitted and fixed among the yarn fixing blocks 320 and should be easily pulled out. When theyarn 10 is fitted and fixed, theyarn 10 should be securely fixed in such a manner as to maintain a constant tension without causing interference withother yarns 10. Theyarn 10 should be rapidly pulled out. - For this, it is desirable that an
inclined plane 321 should be formed such that a portion of theyarn fixing block 320, to which theyarn 10 is started to be fitted, is formed relatively lower than other portions. - More specifically, the
yarn fixing block 320 is overall formed in a hexagonal column shape. A shaft coupling hole is formed to pass through the right and left of theyarn fixing block 320, so that theshaft 310 is inserted and coupled to the shaft coupling hole. Theinclined plane 321 is formed by cutting the upper portion of the hexagonal column such that a portion of theyarn fixing block 320, to which theyarn 10 is started to be fitted, is formed relatively lower than other portions. - As a result, when the
yarn 10 is fitted and fixed, a space among the yarn fixing blocks 320 is increased, and when theyarn 10 is pulled out again, the yarn fixing blocks 320 are restored to their original position. Here, for the purpose of easily inserting and pulling out theyarn 10, theinclined plane 321 is formed which corresponds to a portion relatively lower than other portions in theyarn fixing block 320. - Here, when the
yarn 10 is fitted and fixed among the yarn fixing blocks 320, the yarn fixing blocks 320 catch theyarn 10, and when theyarn 10 is pulled out, the yarn fixing blocks 320 are restored to their original position again. On this wise, theyarn fixing block 320 moves elastically about theshaft 310. The elasticpressing portion 400 performs such a function. - Meanwhile, it is desirable that any one of or at least two of a series of numbers, alphabet, engraved marks, and symbols should be mixed and displayed on the top surface of the
yarn fixing block 320. This intends to make is easier to knit the pattern through a text book. That is, when the knitting is performed with reference to the textbook, it is designed to allow a user to easily recognize what order eachyarn 10 should be in. - The elastic
