- Boxing bags or heavy bags are used to practice boxing, punching and kicking. Typically the diameter is such that one can punch or kick the bag, circle left or right, while punching or kicking.
- Standard boxing bags are too wide and have too large of a diameter to throw hook punches. Standard boxing bags are about 38 inches in height and about 14 inches in diameter, which represents a height to diameter ratio of about 2.7:1.
- However the diameter is such that one cannot learn how to throw effective hook punches. The 14 inch diameter bag is too large to throw effective hook punches.
- There exists a need to have a boxing bag with the correct ratio of diameter and length so the user can learn to thrown effective hook punches.
- There also exists a need for boxing bags for different weight classes and different body types.
