Abstract

The doggy doo bag and stick includes a circular bag with hinges and a plastic strap that attaches to each side of the hinged bag that allows bag to hang open and flat to the ground and two retrieval straps attached on each side of the hinged bag to allow for closing and retrieval of the bag. A telescoping rod having a grip at one end and a stationary diamond shaped wire at 45 degrees to the rod on the other end, that aids in application of the doggy doo bag.

Description

BACKGROUND OF TILE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention
The present invention relates to pet hygiene accessories, and more particularly to a doggy doo bag and doggy doo stick having features for convenient, clean hands free disposal of a pets waste or other miscellaneous items.
2. Description of the Related Art
In many communities, neighborhoods and public parks, it is required by rules for the pet owner to clean up after the pet wherever the pet defecates for aesthetic and/or sanitary reasons. One of the most common ways to clean up the waste requires the pct owner to carry a plastic bag that the pet owner would invert and wear like a glove to pick up the waste for prompt disposal.
Another solution includes manual devices specially designed to hold a bag that the pet would defecate in. These devices while convenient, still require some additional handling that increases chances of unsanitary exposure.
Moreover, sonic of these devices require setup and operation that may be more of an inconvenience than help and still require you to hold the devise under the dogs bottom while he defecates. With the doggy doo bag the bag is put under the dogs bottom and the doggy doo stick removed until the dog is done defecating then the doggy doo stick is used to close the doggy doo bag and retrieve it. Due to the large number of pet lovers who want to properly care for their pets and observe the rules of their community and public areas, it is much desired in the art for a convenient easy-to-use and sanitary pet hands free waste disposal device. Thus, the doggy doo bag and doggy doo stick solving aforementioned problem desired is solved.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The doggy duo bag includes a bag comprising of two wires shaped in a half circle and hinged together to form a full circle, thin plastic bag material wrapped around the hinged wire and heat sealed around the wire to form a folding bag, a two inch wide by six inches long thin plastic bag material strap that is attached to both sides of hinged plastic covered wire for application purpose and two straps attached to each side of hinged bag to allow for closing with the doggy doo stick and hands free retrieval of bag after the dog defecates.
The doggy doo stick is also a part of the pet waste disposal system including a telescoping rod with a handle grip on one end and a diamond shaped application on the other end at a 45 degree angle to the telescoping rod used to apply the bag under the dog before it defecates, and to retrieve the bag when the dog is done. These and other features of the present invention will become readily apparent upon further review of the following specification and drawings.

FIG. 16 is a perspective view of the doggy duo bag according to the present invention showing the retrieval strap folded over and sealed leaving the other pick up strap as a carrying strap ready to be disposed of.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to an easy-to-use, doggy duo bag and stick, which permits sanitary, hands-free, capture and disposal of pet wastes via the doggy doo bag. These and other features will be discussed further below.
Referring to FIGS. 1-2, the doggy doo bag is a circular wire frame divided into two sections where the ends of each half circle are closed in a circular shape to form a hinge as seen in FIG. 1A. FIG. 1A is bent up at 90 degrees to a flat surface. The other section FIG. 1B is bent at 0 degrees towards the outside of the perimeter of the wire circle or flat to a flat surface to be inserted through the closed circle of FIG. 1A before being closed to form the other half of the hinge and connecting the the two half circles together. FIG. 2 shows the two half circles connected together and all the ends closed to form the working hinge.
Referring to FIG. 3 the doggy doo bag is a view of the wire circle with closed hinges wrapped with thin plastic bag material folded around the wire frame and heal sealed to itself, this is the inside of the doggy doo bag.
Referring to FIG. 4 the doggy doo bag is a view showing the application strap heat sealed to the two halves across the center of the field of the waste catching area FIG. 4A. FIG. 4B shows one of the retrieval straps, this strap is aproxamately 6″ and folded in half. One end is heat sealed to the inside of the bag and one end heat sealed to the outside of the bag to form a loop on one side of the folding half of the doggy doo bag, offset from the center of FIG. 4A. FIG. 4C shows the second retrieval strap heat sealed to the second side of the folding half of the doggy doo bag in the same way as FIG. 4B.
Referring to FIG. 5 is a view of the doggy doo bag in it's closed position showing the two retrieval straps next to each other allowing for the insertion of the doggy doo stick for pick up without bending over.
Referring to FIGS. 6, 7, and 8 the doggy doo stick. FIG. 8 shows the doggy doo stick fully extended showing the three sections of the telescoping rod including the application end. FIG. 6 is a close up showing the 45 degree angle to the telescoping rod. FIG. 7 is a close up showing the handle end of the doggy doo stick having rubber, material for easy grip and comfortable use.
Referring to FIG. 9 the doggy doo bag in the open position being applied to the doggy doo stick, the doggy doo stick being inserted through the application strap before being flipped over in the closed position.
Referring to FIG. 10 the doggy doo bag shown in the closed position hanging on the fully retracted doggy doo stick for carrying until ready to use.
Referring to FIG. 11 the doggy doo bag and doggy doo stick. The doggy doo stick is lowered and the doggy doo bag slides down the doggy doo stick and is flipped open in the process when it comes in contact with the application end and is ready to be placed under the dogs bottom, the doggy doo stick is not removed until the dog actually starts to defecate.
Referring to FIG. 12 the doggy doo bag alter use showing the doggy doo stick through one of the retrieval straps ready to flip the doggy doo bag closed.

It is to be understood that the present invention is not limited to the embodiments described above, but encompasses any and all embodiments within the scope of the following claims.

4. A system for a sanitary, totally hands free collection of et waste, comprising; A disposable doggy doo bag for collecting dog feces before it comes in contact with the ground. whereby the doggy doo bag is placed under the dogs bottom before deffication to catch the waste before it contacts the ground. The doggy doo bag is then folded over using the retrieval straps, and the doggy doo stick, picked up without bending over and disposed of in a trash receptacle.

5. A system as in claim 4, wherein the doggy doo bag is made from two half circular wire frames hinged together.

6. A system as in claim 4, wherein the hinged circular wires are wrapped with thin plastic material similar to grocery bags to form the main field of the dog doo bag.

7. A system as in claim 6, wherein the wire frame wrapped with thin plastic material having a 2 inch by 7 inch plastic strap heat scaled in the middle of the field of the two halves of the doggy doo bag, 3 inches from the wire frame.

8. A system as in claim 7, wherein the said doggy doo bag having two retrieval straps attached to each side of folding doggy doo bag, each being offset from center, one offset to the right of center of one half circle and one being offset to the left of center of second half circle.

9. A system as in claim 8 wherein one of the retrieval straps having two sided tape with one side being attached to one of the strap to be folded over after use to keep doggy doo bag shut during transport to trash receptacle and the other being used as a handle to carry said doggy duo bag.

10. A system as in claim 4, comprising; a telescoping rod.

11. A system as in claim 10 one end having a handle or grip.

12. A system as in claim 10 having a application end in the shape of a diamond attached at 45 degree angle to the telescoping rod.
