Description
- 1. Technical Field
- The present invention relates generally to a garment, and more particularly to a clothing having a hood. The clothing has a detachable band for hanging the clothing or for fastening the hood.
- 2. Description of Related Art
- Typically, a hoodie is a shirt having a hood. Man wearing the hoodie may put the hood on for shading sun or just for good looking.
- However, most of the time, the hood is put down to hang on the back of the wearer. The hanging hood will swing freely when the wearer is walking, running, or doing exercise. The hood also may be move because of wind blow. The uncontrollable hood might put the wearer in danger if the swinging hood is hooked by an object while the wearer is moving.
- The conventional hoodie is provided with a tag at the interior side and closing to the hood. That tag may make the hoodie be hung on a hook when it is taken off.
- However, the space between the tag and the hoodie is fixed, so that it cannot be hung on a big hook. Besides, the tag may be fallen off because of the weight of the hoodie, or by an external force when the hoodie is hung on the hook.
- In view of the above, the primary objective of the present invention is to provide a clothing with a hood, which is provided with two detachable bands to fasten the hood and to hang the clothing on a hook.
- In order to achieve the objective of the present invention, a clothing includes a main clothing section having an interior side and an exterior side opposite to the interior side, wherein the main clothing section is provided with a through hole, which is open at both the interior side and the exterior side; a hood connected to the main clothing section, wherein the through hole is close to the hood; a first band having an end connected to the exterior side of the main clothing section; a first coupler connected to a free end of the first band; a second band having an end connected to the interior side of the main clothing section; and a second coupler connected to a free end of the second band to detachably engage the first coupler. The second coupler is able to pass through the through hole to engage the first coupler, or go over the hood to engage the first coupler.
- Whereby, the first and the second band could hang the clothing on a hook, or fasten the hood.
- The present invention will be best understood by referring to the following detailed description of some illustrative embodiments in conjunction with the accompanying drawings, in which
-
FIG. 1 is a front view of a preferred embodiment of the present invention; -
FIG. 2 is a rear view of the preferred embodiment of the present invention, showing the second band passing through the through hole; -
FIG. 3 is a rear view of the preferred embodiment of the present invention, showing the first coupler and the second coupler; -
FIG. 4 is a front view of the preferred embodiment of the present invention, showing the folded hood; and -
FIG. 5 is a front view of the preferred embodiment of the present invention, showing the folded hood fastened by the first coupler and the second coupler. - As shown in
FIG. 1 toFIG. 5 , a clothing of the preferred embodiment of the present invention, which is ajacket 100 for example, includes amain clothing section 10, ahood 20, afirst band 30, and asecond band 40. - The
main clothing section 10 is the main of thejacket 100, and thehood 20 is connected to a neckline of themain clothing section 10. Themain clothing section 10 is a single fabric layer, and has anexterior side 12 and aninterior side 14. Theinterior side 14 of themain clothing section 10 touches a wearer when he/she puts thejacket 100 on, and theexterior side 12 is opposite to theinterior side 14. Themain clothing section 10 may be made of double fabric layers in another embodiment, and it still has theexterior side 12 and theinterior side 14. Themain clothing section 10 is provided with athrough hole 16 close to the hood 20 (or the neckline), and thethrough hole 16 is open at both the exterior and the 12, 14.interior sides - The
first band 30 has an end sewed to theexterior side 12 of themain clothing section 10 at a position under thethrough hole 16, and thesecond band 40 has an end sewed to theinterior side 14 of themain clothing section 10. Afirst coupler 32 is connected to a free end of thefirst band 30, and asecond coupler 42 is connected to a free end of thesecond band 40. In the present invention, the first and 30, 40 are nylon belts, and the first andsecond bands 32, 42 are a pair of side release buckles. In another embodiment, the first andsecond couplers 32, 42 may be Velcro devices, buttons, and other detachable couplers.second couplers - As shown in
FIG. 1 toFIG. 3 , thesecond coupler 42 passes through the throughhole 16, a part of thesecond band 40 does it too, to arrive at outsides of themain clothing section 10, and then the first and the 32, 42 are engaged together to form a ring (second couplers FIG. 5 ). In the present embodiment, thesecond band 40 is longer than thefirst band 30. The ring of the first and the 30, 40 may be engaged with a hook (not shown) to hang thesecond bands jacket 100. - In another embodiment, the
second band 40 is shorter than thefirst band 30, and thefirst coupler 32 is inserted into thethrough hole 16 to be engaged with thesecond coupler 42. The function is the same as above. - As shown in
FIG. 4 andFIG. 5 , thehood 20 can be folded and fastened by the first and the 30, 40 in the following way. Thesecond bands hood 20 is folded repeatedly until thesecond coupler 42 is able to go over thehood 20 and engage thefirst coupler 32. At this time, the first and the 30, 40 are connected together as a ring to fasten the foldedsecond bands hood 20 therein. - In conclusion, the detachable first and the
32, 42 can connect the first and thesecond couplers 30, 40 to be a ring to hang thesecond bands jacket 100 or fasten thehood 20. In practice, the character of the present invention could be incorporated in any kind of clothing, such as raincoat, shirt, and vest. - It must be pointed out that the embodiments described above are only some preferred embodiments of the present invention. All equivalent methods which employ the concepts disclosed in this specification and the appended claims should fall within the scope of the present invention.
