Abstract

A removable cooler gear bag that is made of a first rectangular material and a second rectangular material, the second rectangular material is placed above the first rectangular material so that the bottom sides of the first and second rectangular materials are adjacent to each other, the second rectangular material has the same width as the first rectangular material, yet the height is at least an inch and a half shorter than the first rectangular material, the first and second rectangular materials are attached to each other by a two inch polypropylene webbing material border. The side of the first rectangular material not attached to the second rectangular material has a one inch loop strip that runs along the polypropylene border. A hook rectangular carrier having a first and a second side that is one and a half inches in width and that parallels the polypropylene border. The first side of the hook carrier defines the hook strip and the second side defines a pressure sensitive acrylic adhesive layer, the hook strip attaches to the loop strip and the adhesive layer attaches to an ice cooler.

Description

    CROSS REFERENCE
  • This application is a continuation of U.S. provisional patent application No. 61/979,536, filed on Apr. 15, 2014, titled COOLERWEBS REMOVABLE GEAR BAG FOR USE INSIDE AND OUTSIDE OF ICE COOLERS, the disclosure of which is incorporated herein by reference.
  • BACKGROUND
  • The present invention is directed to a gear bag that is used inside of ice coolers.
  • the present invention is a gear bag that uses hook and loop materials to attach to either the underside of the cooler lid or to the side walls of an ice cooler.
  • The present invention is designed to be a thin and low profile bag that minimizes the space that it occupies within the ice cooler.
  • The hook and loop acrylic hook tape is manufactured to adhere at temperatures that are not lower than −40 degree Fahrenheit. The tape is manufactured attach to the inside of ice cooler and not to come off when removing the gear bag from the inside of the ice cooler.
  • The gear bag is made of a mesh material that allows the air temperature within the ice cooler to transfer to the gear bag.
  • For the foregoing reasons, there is a need for a removable cooler gear bag that uses hook and loop materials to attach it to the inside of an ice cooler.
  • SUMMARY
  • The present invention describes a removable cooler gear bag, the gear bag comprises of a first rectangular material made of PVC coated mesh having a top, a bottom, a left and a right side, a second rectangular material is made of a polyester mesh having a top, a bottom, a left and a right side and the second rectangular material is placed above the first rectangular material so that the bottom sides of the first and second rectangular materials are adjacent to each other, the second rectangular material has the same width as the first rectangular material, yet the height is at least an inch and a half shorter than the first rectangular material, the first and second rectangular materials are attached to each other by a two inch polypropylene webbing material border that is sewn to the first and second rectangular materials, the second rectangular material has a top that is reinforced by two layers of polyester elastic that are sewn and that sandwich the top of the second rectangular material, the first rectangular material forms a pocket with the second rectangular materials by a hook and loop securing system that is sewn to the first rectangular material and the polyester elastic layer that is adjacent to the first rectangular material, the side of the first rectangular material not attached to the second rectangular material has a one inch loop strip that runs along the polypropylene webbing material border, a hook rectangular carrier having a first and a second side that is one and a half inches in width and that parallels the polypropylene webbing material border, the first side of the hook carrier defines the hook strip and the second side defines a pressure sensitive acrylic adhesive layer, and a peal off material layer that is attached to the adhesive layer.
  • The pressure sensitive acrylic adhesive layer is used to adhere to the inside of a plastic cooler, thereby preventing the rejection of the adhesive layer by the energy level of the plastic cooler. And, in addition, the acrylic adhesive layer accomplishes a long term bond in a moist and chilled environment. The adhesive material is a high pressure acrylic.
  • An object of the present invention is to provide a removable gear bag that can be used inside of an ice cooler.
  • Another object of the present invention is to provide a gear bag that conserves space within an ice cooler.
  • A further object of the present invention, when the present invention is attached to underside of the cooler lid, is to fit within the open space created between the top of the ice and the cooler contents and the bottom of the lid.
  • Still a further object of the present invention, when the invention is attached to the underside of the cooler lid, is to prevent items being stored in the gear bag from getting wet while remaining cooled.
  • Yet a further object of the present invention is to provide a gear bag in which chilled gel packs can be stored while inside a cooler, thereby preventing the shifting of the gel packs within the ice cooler.
  • DRAWINGS
  • These and other features, aspects, and advantages of the present invention will become better understood with regard to the following description, appended claims, and drawings where:
  • FIG. 1 shows a perspective view of how the gear bag of the present invention can be placed on an ice cooler;
  • FIG. 2 shows a perspective front view of the gear bag of the present invention;
  • FIG. 3 shows a perspective rear view of the gear bag of the present invention; and
  • FIG. 4 shows a side view of the present invention.
  • DESCRIPTION
  • The present invention describes a removable cooler gear bag 100, the gear bag 100 comprises of a first rectangular material 10 made of PVC coated mesh having a top 10A, a bottom 10B, a left 10C and a right side 10D, a second rectangular material 20 is made of a polyester mesh having a top 20A, a bottom 20B, a left 20C and a right side 20D and the second rectangular material 20 is placed above the first rectangular material 10 so that the bottom sides 10, 10B of the first 10 and second rectangular materials 20 are adjacent to each other, the second rectangular material 20 has the same width as the first rectangular material 10, yet the height is at least an inch and a half shorter than the first rectangular material 10, the first 10 and second rectangular materials 20 are attached to each other by a two inch polypropylene webbing material border 30 that is sewn to the first 10 and second rectangular materials 20, the top of the second rectangular material 20 is reinforced by a pair of strips of polyester elastic 40 that are sewn and that sandwich the top of the second rectangular material 20A, the first rectangular material 10 forms a pocket with the second rectangular materials 20 by a hook and loop securing system 50 that is sewn to the first rectangular material 10 and the polyester elastic layer 40 that is adjacent to the first rectangular material 10, the side of the first rectangular material 10 not attached to the second rectangular material 20 has a one inch loop strip 60 that runs along the polypropylene webbing material border 30, a hook rectangular carrier 70 having a first 70A and a second side 70B that is one and a half inches in width and that parallels the polypropylene webbing material border 30, the first side 70A of the hook carrier defines the hook strip 72 and the second side 70B defines a pressure sensitive acrylic adhesive layer 80, and a peal off material layer 90 that is attached to the adhesive layer 80.
  • The pressure sensitive acrylic adhesive layer 80 is used to adhere to the inside of a plastic cooler, thereby preventing the rejection of the adhesive layer by the energy level of the plastic cooler. And, in addition, the acrylic adhesive layer accomplishes a long term bond in an environment of low temperatures of moisture and humidity. The adhesive material is a high pressure acrylic.
  • An advantage of the present invention is that it provides a removable gear bag that is used on the inside of an ice cooler.
  • Another advantage of the present invention is that it provides a gear bag that conserves space within an ice cooler.
  • A further advantage of the present invention, when the present invention is attached to underside of the cooler lid, is that it fits within the open space created between the top of the ice and the cooler contents and the bottom of the lid.
  • Still a further advantage of the present invention, when the invention is attached to the underside of the cooler lid, is that it prevents items being stored in the gear bag from getting wet while remaining cooled.
  • Yet a further advantage of the present invention is that it provides a gear bag in which chilled gel packs can be stored while inside a cooler, thereby preventing the shifting of the gel packs within the ice cooler.
  • While the inventor's above description contains many specificities, these should not be construed as limitations on the scope, but rather as an exemplification of several preferred embodiments thereof. Many other variations are possible.
