Abstract
A packing buffer material of a radiator tank is fixed on one of four end edges of a radiator tank and contains a first end portion, a second end portion, and a buffer end portion. The first end portion has two extending fences formed on an upper end and a lower end thereof, and between the two extending fences is defined a flexible fitting groove. The second end portion has a plurality of toothed sheets extending downwardly from a long outer wall of an extending fence on the lower end of the first end portion, and between any two adjacent toothed sheets is defined a flexible clamping opening. The buffer end portion has a curved rib formed on one side of a top surface of the first end portion. Thereby, the packing buffer material positions and packages the radiator tank in a carton easily.
Description
- The present invention relates to a packing buffer material of a radiator tank which is fixed on one of four end edges of the radiator tank so as to position and package the radiator tank in a carton.
- A conventional
packing buffer material 10 of a radiator tank is applied to absorb shock during transportation. As shown inFIG. 1 , thepacking buffer material 10 contains a plurality of connectingplates 11 made of foam material and glued on connecting areas of the plurality of connectingplates 11 by coatingviscose 13 so as to form a C-shaped fitting opening 12. Thepacking buffer material 10 is fixed on an end edge of theradiator tank 14 so as to absorb the shock to theradiator tank 14 in acarton 15 during transportation. When fourend edges 141 of theradiator tank 14 are in different sizes, the plurality of connectingplates 11 of varying size are glued together so as to form the C-shaped fitting opening 12 of varying size to fix thepacking buffer material 10 on the fourend edges 141 of theradiator tank 14. However, such a fixing manner will increase packaging size and space. Furthermore, thepacking buffer material 10 cannot be used and recycled repeatedly. - The present invention has arisen to mitigate and/or obviate the afore-described disadvantages.
- The primary objective of the present invention is to provide a packing buffer material of a radiator tank which positions and packages a radiator tank in a carton easily.
- Further objective of the present invention is to provide a packing buffer material of a radiator tank in which a hollowly curved rib of a buffer end portion protects the radiator tank during transportation.
- Another objective of the present invention is to provide a packing buffer material of a radiator tank which is flexible to provide shock protection to the radiator tank, and it is recyclable to save material cost and has small size to reduce packing space.
- To obtain above-mentioned objectives, a packing buffer material of a radiator tank provided by the present invention contains: a first end portion, a second end portion, and a buffer end portion.
- The first end portion has two extending fences formed on an upper end and a lower end thereof, and between the two extending fences is defined a flexible fitting groove.

FIG. 10 is a plan view showing the application of the packing buffer material according to the preferred embodiment of the present invention. - With reference to
FIGS. 2-4 , apacking buffer material 20 according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention is fixed on one of four end edges of aradiator tank 30 so as to position and package theradiator tank 30 in acarton 40, wherein thepacking buffer material 20 is one piece formed from plastic material and includes afirst end portion 21, asecond end portion 22, and abuffer end portion 23. Thefirst end portion 21 is in a L shape and has two L-shaped extendingfences 212 formed on an upper end and a lower end thereof, and each L-shaped extendingfence 212 has a long inner wall and a short inner wall, between the two L-shaped extendingfences 212 is defined aflexible fitting groove 211 for corresponding to asupport flange 31 of theradiator tank 30. Thesecond end portion 22 has a plurality oftoothed sheets 221 extending downwardly from a long outer wall of a L-shaped extendingfence 212 on the lower end of thefirst end portion 21, eachtoothed sheet 221 has a tilted guidingface 223 arranged on one side thereof, and between any twoadjacent toothed sheets 221 is defined aflexible clamping opening 222 for corresponding to a respective one of twofixing plates 32. Thebuffer end portion 23 has a hollowlycurved rib 231 formed on one side of a top surface of thefirst end portion 21, wherein the hollowlycurved rib 231 is in any one of an arch shape (as shown inFIGS. 3 and 4 ), a 8 shape (as illustrated inFIGS. 5 and 6 ) and various shapes. - In operation, as shown in
FIG. 7 , thefirst end portion 21 and thesecond end portion 22 of thepacking buffer material 20 are aligned with thesupport flange 31 and the twofixing plates 32 of theradiator tank 30 so that thefirst end portion 21 of thepacking buffer material 20 is fitted with thesupport flange 31 of theradiator tank 30 by ways of the flexible fitting groove 211 (as illustrated inFIG. 8 ), wherein two long inner walls of the two L-shaped extendingfences 212 of thefirst end portion 21 contact with a first side of thesupport flange 31, and two short inner walls of the two L-shaped extendingfences 212 of thefirst end portion 21 contact with a second side of thesupport flange 31, thereafter any one offlexible clamping openings 222 of the plurality oftoothed sheets 221 retains with the respective one of the twofixing plates 32, such that thefirst end portion 21 and thesecond end portion 22 of thepacking buffer material 20 are fixed on thesupport flange 31 and the twofixing plates 32 of the radiator tank 30 (as shown inFIG. 9 ), and tilted guidingfaces 223 of the plurality oftoothed sheets 221 guide theflexible clamping openings 222 to retain with the twofixing plates 32 smoothly, thus positioning and packaging theradiator tank 30 in thecarton 40 by means of fourpacking buffer materials 20 easily (as illustrated inFIG. 10 ).
