Abstract
A brush (1) is described, in particular for applying fluid products on nails such as drugs or cosmetics, comprising at least one plurality of flexible blades (3), such blades (3) of a first plurality being mutually radially arranged along at least one first circular perimeter (C), such blades (3) being radially surrounded by at least one perimeter containing rib (5).
Description
- The present invention refers to an improved nailbrush.
- Classical brushes are known in the art, which allow applying on the nails a fluid product, such as an enamel or a drug, contained inside a related bottle, such brush being usually integral with its screwable cover so that at least its bristles remain immersed into the fluid when such cover screwed onto such bottle.
- In order to allow the most accurate distribution of the fluid product onto the nail surface or, in the particular case of a drug, even only along its contour, the prior art brushes are generally composed of a plurality of bristles seamed inside a joining stem to the cover. Examples of such brushes are disclosed in JP2000270927, JP11244040, EP0379692, JP10295440, EP1050235, CN1257679, JP9252836, JP6014812, U.S. Pat. No. 4,998,315. Such known brushes however has still some problems: in fact, they do not guarantee enough regularity and autonomy in dispensing the product, compelling a user to immerse it many times into bottle in order to impregnate it with the fluid product even many times for the same nail, making the application operation for such product long and uncomfortable. Moreover, it can happen that, during the bottle transport, the bristles remain bent, making afterwards the accurate product application still less practical if not ultimately impossible.
- Moreover, generally, the brush is connected to the screwable cover, by interposing the stem, due to an undercut snap-type hook or by screwing: examples of such connections are also disclosed in GB918901, EP1733644, EP2123187, EP1504691, DE10229693, U.S. 2002090249, WO8804148. Such coupling solution however has till the problem that the sealing cone arranged around the stem gets glued onto the bottle neck, detaching the brush from the cover when this latter one is unscrewed.
- Documents U.S.-A1-2011/170936, DE-C1-40 30 382 e U.S.-A1-2006/185107 disclose brushes according to the preamble of
claim 1. - Object of the present invention is solving the above prior art problems by providing an improved nailbrush in which the traditional bristles are replaced by plastic flexible blades.
- Moreover, an object of the present invention is providing an improved nailbrush in which the accidental bending of the blades is prevented, in particular during its transport.
- Another object of the present invention is providing an improved nailbrush that improves distribution regularity and autonomy of the product on a nail with respect to what is proposed by the prior art.
- Moreover, an object of the present invention is providing an improved nailbrush equipped with a coupling with the screwable cover of its related bottle that prevents its accidental detachment when unscrewing this latter one.
- The above and other objects and advantages of the invention, as will appear from the following description, are obtained with an improved nailbrush as claimed in
claim 1. - Preferred embodiments and non-trivial variations of the present invention are the subject matter of the dependent claims.
- It is clear that all enclosed claims are an integral part of the present description.
- It will be immediately obvious that numerous variations and modifications (for example related to shape, sizes, arrangements and parts with equivalent functionality) could be made to what is described, without departing from the scope of the invention, as appears from the enclosed claims.
- The present invention will be better described by some preferred embodiments thereof, provided as a non-limiting example, with reference to the enclosed drawings, in which:
-
FIG. 1 a shows a perspective view of a preferred embodiment of the improved nailbrush according to the present invention; -
FIG. 1 b shows an enlarged view of a detail of the improved nailbrush according to the present invention contained in circle A inFIG. 1 a; -
FIG. 2 a shows a side sectional view of the improved nailbrush ofFIG. 1 a; -
FIG. 2 b shows an enlarged view of a detail of the improved nailbrush according to the present invention contained in circle B inFIG. 2 a; -
FIG. 2 c shows a plan view of the improved nailbrush ofFIG. 2 b; -
FIG. 3 a shows a side sectional view of the improved nailbrush according to the present invention connected to a screwable cover; -
FIG. 3 b shows an enlarged view of a detail of the improved nailbrush according to the present invention contained in box B inFIG. 3 a; and -
FIG. 4 shows a plant sectional view of the coupling ofFIG. 3 a between the brush according to the present invention and the screwable cover. - With reference to the Figures, it is possible to note that the
brush 1, in particular for applying on nails fluid products such as drugs or cosmetics, comprises at least one plurality offlexible blades 3,such blades 3 of a first plurality being mutually radially arranged along at least one first circular perimeter (like the one, shown inFIG. 2 c, enclosed in the first circular crown C′ defined by the related dashed circles),such blades 3 being radially surrounded by at least one perimeter containing rib 5: it can be noted how, advantageously, the presence of theperimeter containing rib 5 keeps theblades 3 straight and mutually aligned, preventing, contrary to what happens in prior art brushes, the accidental bending of theblades 3 themselves, in particular during the transport of their related bottle. - Preferably, such
perimeter containing rib 5 is circular, annular and arranged externally to such first circular perimeter of such blades 3: in particular, suchperimeter containing rib 5 is coaxial with such first circular perimeter ofsuch blades 3. - Preferably,
such blades 3 are, in their rest position, substantially rectilinear and parallel to a longitudinal axis R-R ofsuch brush 1. Similarly, such first circular perimeter C′ and suchperimeter containing rib 5 are coaxial with such longitudinal axis R-R. - Advantageously, the
brush 1 according to the present invention comprises at least one second plurality ofsuch blades 3,such blades 3 being radially arranged along at least one second circular perimeter (like the one shown, in detail, inFIG. 2 c enclosed in the second circular crown C″ defined by the related dashed circles): preferably, such second circular perimeter C″ is internal and concentric to the first circular perimeter C′. - Similarly to what is described above, also such second circular perimeter C″ is preferably coaxial with such longitudinal axis R-R.
- Obviously, the interspaces occurring between the
blades 3 are used, similarly to what occurs with traditional brushes with bristles, as tank for keeping the fluid product to be dispensed, such tank obviously having sizes that are substantially greater than those defined by the interspaces occurring between the many bristles known, and therefore being adapted to guarantee better regularity and autonomy when dispensing the product and to allow the user to dip thebrush 1 according to the present invention less times in a bottle to dispense a same amount of fluid product. - Obviously, each one of
such blades 3 can be made of any suitable material adequate for this purpose, such as for example a plastic material, having enough flexibility. - Preferably, in order to fafilitate the application accuracy of the fluid product on a nail, each one of
such blades 3 has its ownfree end 3′ having a tapered and beleved shape. - Moreover, the
brush 1 according to the present invention is connected to a connectingbase 7 for ascrewable cover 9 for closing a bottle (not shown) containing the fluid product, possibly by interposing at least onestem 11. - In particular,
such base 7 is equipped, on its perimeter and externally, with a plurality of first radially arrangedengaging teeth 13 and suchscrewable cover 9 is equipped with at least oneseat 8 for insertingsuch base 7,such seat 8 being equipped on its perimeter with a shape corresponding to the shape ofsuch base 7. Consequently, such seat 8 is equipped, on its perimeter and internally, with a plurality of second radially arrangedengaging teeth 15 having complementary shapes to such firstengaging teeth 13. Still more preferably, such first 13 and second engaging teeth are made with a profile with sawteeth arranged with different orientations: in particular, the slanted side of the sawteeth profile of the firstengaging teeth 13 is oriented in an opposite direction with respect to the unscrewing direction V of thescrewable cover 9 of the bottle, in such a way as to prevent uncoupling and detaching betweenbase 7 andseat 8, and consequently betweenbrush 1 andcover 9, also in case of gluing of the sealingcone 16 arranged around thestem 11 to the bottle neck. - Moreover, in order to prevent the
base 7 from being withdrawn from theseat 8,such base 7 andsuch seat 8 can be engaged one inside the other by interposing interference-type connecting means: in particular, such means can comprise at least onerib 17 arranged on its perimeter aroundsuch seat 8 and at least onecorresponding groove 19 arranged on its perimeter aroundsuch base 7,such groove 19 being adapted to house thereinsuch rib 17.
