Abstract
A cordless curtain assembly includes a curtain unit, a control unit, a fixed part, a movable part and an operation cord. The curtain is connected between the head box and a bottom bar. The user may pulls the bottom bar to operate the operation cord which is wrapped to the first and second pillars in the fixed part and the movable part. The movable part is moved and activates the spring to lift the curtain. When the user lifts the bottom bar, the spring force is release so that the movable part moves back to its initial position to let the operation cord to pull the curtain upward.
Description
- The present invention relates to a cordless curtain assembly, and more particularly, to a cordless curtain assembly using a spring to control a movable member to control the operation of the curtain.
- A conventional curtain assembly generally comprises a curtain, a transmission unit and a control cord, wherein the transmission unit is located in the head box and connected with the control cord. When the user pulls the cord, the curtain is moved upward or downward relative to the operation of the transmission unit and the cord. However, the conventional curtain assembly involves a complicated structure. The cord is connected to the transmission unit so that if the user pulls the cord too hard or releases the cord too quickly, the curtain cannot be properly positioned at the desired position. The user has to operate the cord to adjust the position of the curtain several times.
- Besides, the cord is connected to the transmission unit and the curtain is moved according to the operation of the transmission unit and the cord. The connection between the transmission unit and the cord is complicated and the manufacturing cost is high.
- The present invention intends to provide a curtain assembly which does not need the control cord and the complicated structure.
- The present invention relates to a curtain assembly and comprises a spring having a first end and a second end which is fixed to a first fixed member in the head box. A fixed part has a first passage defined therein, and at least two first pillars, at least one fixed member and multiple first columns are located in the first passage of the fixed part. A movable part has a second passage defined therein, and at least two second pillars located in the second passage. Multiple rollers are located at the periphery of the movable part. Multiple first fixed members are located in the movable part. The first end of the spring is connected to one of the first fixed members. An operation cord is wrapped to the at least two first pillars via the first passage and the at least two second pillars via the second passage.
- Alternatively, the present invention provides a cordless curtain assembly and comprises a curtain unit having a head box and a bottom bar, and a curtain is connected between the head box and the bottom bar. The head box has a space defined therein and multiple holes are defined through the bottom of the space. A spring has a first end and a second end which is fixed to a first fixed member in the head box. A fixed part has a first passage defined therein, and at least two first pillars, at least one fixed member and multiple first columns are located in the first passage of the fixed part. The fixed part is securely located in the space and located in opposite to the first fixed member. A movable part has a second passage defined therein, and at least two second pillars are located in the second passage. Multiple rollers are located at the periphery of the movable part. Multiple first fixed members are located in the movable part which is movably located in the space of the head box. The first end of the spring is connected to one of the first fixed members. An operation cord is wrapped to the at least two first pillars via the first passage and the at least two second pillars via the second passage. Two ends of the operation cord extend through the holes of the head box and the curtain, and are fixed to the bottom bar.
- Preferably, the curtain is window blinds.
- Preferably, the curtain is a honeycomb curtain.
- Preferably, the curtain is a foldable shade.
- The primary object of the present invention is to provide a curtain assembly which does not need the control cable hanging outside of the curtain, and the structure is simple.
- The present invention will become more obvious from the following description when taken in connection with the accompanying drawings which show, for purposes of illustration only, a preferred embodiment in accordance with the present invention.

FIG. 2 is a top view to show the parts in the head box of the curtain assembly of the present invention, wherein the spring is not extended; -
FIG. 3 is a side cross sectional view to show the curtain assembly wherein the curtain is located at the higher position; -
FIG. 4 is a top view to show the parts in the head box of the curtain assembly of the present invention, wherein the spring is extended, and -
FIG. 5 is a side cross sectional view to show the curtain assembly wherein the curtain is located at the lower position. - Referring to
FIGS. 1 to 3 , the curtain assembly of the present invention comprises acurtain unit 10 having ahead box 11 and a bottom bar 12. A curtain 13 is connected between thehead box 11 and the bottom bar 12. Thehead box 11 has a space 110 defined therein andmultiple holes 111 are defined through the bottom of the space 110. The curtain is window blinds, a honeycomb curtain or a foldable shade. - A
spring 20 has afirst end 21 and asecond end 22 which is fixed to a first fixedmember 44 in thehead box 11. Afixed part 30 has afirst passage 31 defined therein, and at least twofirst pillars 310, at least one fixed member and multiplefirst columns 312 are located in thefirst passage 31 of thefixed part 30. Thefixed part 30 is securely located in the space 110 and located in opposite to the first fixedmember 44. - A
movable part 40 has asecond passage 41 defined therein, and at least twosecond pillars 410 are located in thesecond passage 41.Multiple rollers 42 are located at the periphery of themovable part 40. Multiple first fixedmembers 43 are located in themovable part 40. Themovable part 40 is movably located in the space 110 of thehead box 11. Thefirst end 21 of thespring 20 is connected to one of the first fixedmembers 43. - An
operation cord 50 is wrapped to the at least twofirst pillars 310 via thefirst passage 31 and the at least twosecond pillars 410 via thesecond passage 41. The two ends of theoperation cord 50 extend through theholes 111 of thehead box 11 and the curtain 13, and are fixed to the bottom bar 12. - As shown in
FIGS. 1-5 , thespring 20 and thefixed part 30 are respectively and securely located in two ends of the space 110 of thehead box 11. Themovable part 40 is movably located in the space 110 of thehead box 11, and therollers 42 contact the inside of the space 110. Thefirst end 21 and thesecond end 22 of thespring 20 are respectively connected to the second fixedmember 43 in themovable part 40 and the first fixedmember 44 in thehead box 11. Theoperation cord 50 is wrapped to the at least twofirst pillars 310 via thefirst passage 31 and the at least twosecond pillars 410 via thesecond passage 41. The two ends of theoperation cord 50 extend through theholes 111 of thehead box 11 and the curtain 13, and are fixed to the bottom bar 12. - When the user pulls the bottom bar 12 downward, the
operation cable 50 moves so as to extend thespring 20 to expand (lower) the curtain 13. When the user pushes the bottom bar 12 upward, the force of thespring 20 releases and thespring 20 bounces to its initial status, and themovable part 40 is moved, so that theoperation cable 50 lifts the curtain 13. - The operation to the bottom bar 12 drives the
operation cable 50 to move themovable part 40 and thespring 20 is expanded or bounces to its initial status, such that the curtain 13 is lowered or lifted. The operation is easy and the structure is simple. The manufacturing cost is therefore reduced. - While we have shown and described the embodiment in accordance with the present invention, it should be clear to those skilled in the art that further embodiments may be made without departing from the scope of the present invention.
Claims (5)
1. A curtain assembly comprising:
a spring having a first end and a second end which is fixed to a first fixed member in a head box;
a fixed part having a first passage defined therein, at least two first pillars, at least one fixed member and multiple first columns located in the first passage of the fixed part;
a movable part having a second passage defined therein, at least two second pillars located in the second passage, multiple rollers located at a periphery of the movable part, multiple first fixed members located in the movable part, the first end of the spring connected to one of the first fixed members, and
an operation cord wrapped to the at least two first pillars via the first passage and the at least two second pillars via the second passage.
2. A cordless curtain assembly comprising:
a curtain unit having a head box and a bottom bar, a curtain connected between the head box and the bottom bar, the head box having a space defined therein and multiple holes defined through a bottom of the space;
a spring having a first end and a second end which is fixed to a first fixed member in the head box;
a fixed part having a first passage defined therein, at least two first pillars, at least one fixed member and multiple first columns located in the first passage of the fixed part, the fixed part being securely located in the space and located in opposite to the first fixed member;
a movable part having a second passage defined therein, at least two second pillars located in the second passage, multiple rollers located at a periphery of the movable part, multiple first fixed members located in the movable part, the movable part movably located in the space of the head box, the first end of the spring connected to one of the first fixed members, and
an operation cord wrapped to the at least two first pillars via the first passage and the at least two second pillars via the second passage, two ends of the operation cord extending through the holes of the head box and the curtain and being fixed to the bottom bar.
3. The curtain assembly as claimed in claim 2 , wherein the curtain is window blinds.
4. The curtain assembly as claimed in claim 2 , wherein the curtain is a honeycomb curtain.
5. The curtain assembly as claimed in claim 2 , wherein the curtain is a foldable shade.
