Abstract

A fishing rig storage device may include a lid wall, a sidewall to detachably connect with the lid wall, and a bottom wall to connect to the sidewall. The lid wall may include a multiple arms to define a spool.

Description

    PRIORITY
  • The present invention claims priority under 35 USC section 119 and based upon a provisional application filed on Sep. 26, 2011 with a Ser. No. 61/539,192.
  • FIELD OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention relates to fishing devices and more particularly to a fishing rig storage device and the storage of electronic cords and/or wires.
  • BACKGROUND Electronic Cords/Wires
  • Most of today's computer, mobile phone and music and video device users have an array of assorted cords for component connections or playback earphones.
  • The challenge is to neatly store these wires and cords in order to prevent them from being tangled, lost or damaged. Various types of cords and wires are used, but most suffer from tangling.
  • A fisherman's tools of the trade are the fishing rod, fishing hooks, fishing leaders, a clasp and a swivel.
  • These items with the exception possible of the fishing rod should be neatly stowed in order to prevent them from being tangled, lost or otherwise rendered useless. Various types of fishing rigs have been proposed, but most sufferers from various defects.
  • SUMMARY Fishing Rig Storage Device
  • A fishing rig storage device may include a lid wall, a sidewall to detachably connect with the lid wall, and a bottom wall to connect to the sidewall.
  • The lid wall may include a multiple arms to define a spool.
  • The lid wall may include a drain port.
  • The bottom wall may include a drain port.
  • The bottom wall may include a slot for a clip or strap.
  • The sidewall may be a discontinuous sidewall.
  • The sidewall may include a slot.
  • The arm may be substantially L-shaped.
  • Electronic Cords/Wires
  • An Electronic cord/wire storage device may include a lid wall, a sidewall to detachably connect with the lid wall, and a bottom wall to connect to the sidewall. The lid may include a multiple arms to define a spool.
  • The lid wall may include a wire/cord pass through ports or slots.
  • The bottom wall may include one or more vent ports.
  • The bottom wall may include one or more slot(s) for a clip or strap.
  • The sidewall may be a discontinuous sidewall.
  • The sidewall may include one or more slot(s).
  • The arm may be substantially L-shaped or cupped shaped.

  • FIG. 1 illustrates a perspective view of an open fishing rig storage device in accordance with the teachings of the present invention;

  • FIG. 7 illustrates a perspective view of the side of the fishing rig storage device of the present invention.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION
  • It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide an improved single and/or multiple fishing hooks and leader storage device which has all of the advantages of prior fishing hook and leader storage devices and none of the disadvantages.
  • It is another object of the present invention to provide an improved single and/or multiple fishing hook and/or lure and leader storage device which may be easily and efficiently manufactured and marketed and allow manufactures or various tackle storage devices to integrate this device either through licensing or other means of joint venture the ability to create tackle trays, containers or boxes that feature this unique single and/or multiple fishing hook and/or lure and leader storage device.
  • It is further object of the present invention to provide an improved single and/or multiple fishing hook and/or lure and leader storage device which is of durable and reliable constructions.
  • It is another object of the present invention provide an improved single and/or multiple cord/wire storage device which may be easily and efficiently manufactured and marketed and allow manufactures or various cord/wire devices to integrate or make available as an accessory this device either through licensing or other means of joint venture the ability to create containers or boxes that feature this unique single and/or multiple cord/wire storage device.
  • It is further object of the present invention to provide an improved single and/or multiple cord/wire storage device which is of durable and reliable constructions.
  • A further object of the present invention is to provide an improved single and/or multiple fishing hook and/or lure and leader storage device which is susceptible of a low cost of manufacture with regard to both materials and labor, and which accordingly is then susceptible of low prices of sale to the consuming public, thereby making such single and/or multiple fishing hook and/or lure and leader storage device economically available to the buying public and/or industries.
  • Still yet another object of the present invention is to provide an improved single and/or multiple fishing hook and/or lure and leader storage device which provides in the apparatuses and methods some of the advantages thereof, while simultaneously overcoming some of the disadvantages normally associated therewith.
  • Still another object of the present invention is to store a plurality of fishing hooks and leaders around the slotted spool or reel of the apparatus.
  • A further object of the present invention is provide an improved cord/wire storage device which is susceptible of a low cost of manufacture with regard to both materials and labor, and which accordingly is then susceptible of low prices of sale to the consuming public, thereby making such single and/or multiple cord/wire storage device economically available to the buying public and/or industries.
  • Still yet another object of the present invention is provide an improved single and/or multiple cord/wire storage device which provides in the apparatuses and methods some of the advantages thereof, while simultaneously overcoming some of the disadvantages normally associated therewith.
  • Still another object of the present invention is to store a plurality of Cords and/or Wires around the slotted spool or reel of the apparatus.
  • It is an object of the present invention to provide an improved single and/or multiple fishing hook and/or lure and leader storage device that will safely secure and store including an improved single and/or multiple fishing hook and/or lure and leader storage device by the combination of: a rectangular or square or round hinged container of various sizes made of plastic, metal, rubber, paper or wood with an accessible integrated slotted spool or reel storage area for hooks and/or lures. The container features drain holes for rinsing the contained rig(s) and strap or clip ports to accommodate either custom or user obtained clips or straps or ties. The container features a hinged lid including a lid with an integrated slotted spool or reel featuring a center storage cup and a cover lid that when open allows the user access to the integrated spool or reel that can be securely closed and stored safely.
  • It is an object of the present invention to provide an improved single and/or multiple cord/wire storage device that will safely secure and store including an improved single and/or multiple cord/wire storage device by combination of: a rectangular to square or round hinged or unhinged container or various sizes and made of plastic, metal, rubber, or wood with an accessible integrated slotted spool or reel storage area for cords or wires. The container includes vent holes and strap or clip slots to accommodate either custom or user obtained clips or storages or ties. The container includes a hinged or unhinged lid including a lid with an integrated slotted spool or reel featuring a center storage cup and a cover lid that when open allows the user access to the integrated spool or reel that can be securely closed and stored safely.
  • FIG. 1 illustrates a perspective view of the fishing rig storage device 100 which may include a storage device housing 101 which may include a lid wall 1 which may be pivotable in order to open and close to restrict and allow access to the interior of the storage device housing 101 and which may be connected to the discontinuous sidewall 23 by a hinge 27, a discontinuous sidewall 23 which may extend around the periphery of the bottom wall 25 and the lid wall 1 and a bottom wall 25 which may be connected to the discontinuous sidewall 23 and opposes the lid wall 1.
  • The lid wall 1 may include a multitude of drain ports 4 which may be apertures which extend through the lid wall 1 to allow water to drain and air to enter to dry stored parts and which may be in the form of an oval. In addition, L-shaped arms 2 may extend inward (when closed) to provide a spool for the leader to be wrapped around. The arms 2 may be positioned to form a substantial oval.
  • The lid wall 1 may include a fastener 3 which may be a cylinder having a center aperture in order to cooperate with a closure post 7 which may be a cylinder which extends from the bottom wall 25.
  • The lid wall 1 may be connected to the sidewall 23 by a hinge 5 which may be weakened material such as plastic which may be flexible or may be a post which pivots on cylinders.
  • The sidewall 23 may include a pair of opposing slots 9 which may extend through the sidewall 23 so that a leader external to the sidewall 23 may extend through each of the slots 9. The bottom wall 25 may include a first pair of opposed slots 10 and a second pair of opposed slots 10 to allow a strap or clip to extend through the first pair of opposed slots 10 or the second pair of opposed slots 10 so that the housing 100 may be worn by the user.
  • Additionally, the bottom wall 25 may include drain ports 41 which facilitate the draining of the housing 100 and the cleaning of the interior area.
  • The cavity formed by the bottom wall 25, the lid wall 1 and the side wall 23 may provide a hollow area for the L-shaped arms 2.
  • FIG. 2 illustrates a bottom view of the bottom wall 25 which may include the drain ports 41 and the slots 10.
  • FIG. 3 illustrates a top view of the lid wall 1 including the drain ports 4.
  • FIG. 4 illustrates a perspective top view of the lid wall 1 including the drain ports 4 and may include indicia 43 which may be molded into the top surface of the lid wall 1 and illustrates the hinge 5.
  • FIGS. 5 and 6 illustrate a perspective view of the lid wall 1, the sidewall 23, the bottom wall 25, L-shaped arms 2, the hinge 5, the slots 10, the drain ports 4, and she the slots 9 in the sidewall.
  • FIG. 7 illustrates a perspective view of the lid wall 1, the sidewall 23 the bottom wall 25, the drain ports 4 and the hinge 5.
  • While the invention is susceptible to various modifications and alternative forms, specific embodiments thereof have been shown by way of example in the drawings and are herein described in detail. It should be understood, however, that the description herein of specific embodiments is not intended to limit the invention to the particular forms disclosed.

Claims (7)

1. A fishing rig storage device, comprising:
a lid wall;
a sidewall to detachably connect with the lid wall;
a bottom wall to connect to the sidewall;
wherein the lid wall includes a multiple arms to define a spool.
2. A fishing rig storage device as in claim 1, wherein the lid wall includes a drain port.
3. A fishing rig storage device as in claim 1, wherein the bottom wall includes a drain port.
4. A fishing rig storage device as in claim 1, wherein the bottom wall includes a slot for a clip or strap.
5. A fishing rig storage device as in claim 1, wherein the sidewall is a discontinuous sidewall.
6. A fishing rig storage device as in claim 5, wherein the sidewall includes a slot.
7. A fishing rig storage device as in claim 1, wherein the arm is substantially L-shaped.
